I remember someone mentioning one knock on Stanley is his love for football might not be as high as you want it to be. Anyone got that article? I just hope he's motivated to be great.

This isn't instant coffee! Everyone on this board advocates playing it safe. Try an be optimistic all you want, he wasn't best pick available, not even best pick at the position! We should have rolled the dice on Jack or Shaq Lawson. How is anybody happy right now with this pick??

I don't buy it. There's no proof to that at all. Sounds like a baseless claim that everyone seemed to buy. I never understood that claim.

The Dolphins got a ridiculous steal, we panicked and messed up. Stanley is Monroe 2.0, no mean streak. Can only hope Yanda rubs off on Stanley, smh

I've been saying before the draft that with all the smoke and mirrors that fly around the place it honestly wouldn't surprise me if that story originated from (say) someone in the Giants' FO. It's a side like that who has the most to gain from teams above them second-guessing themselves, and it wouldn't be difficult for someone in the FO to say the right thing to their friend who works for ESPN or whatever.

What I'm afraid of his Rookie mistakes. Like 10 yard holding calls and Flacco gets little protection

Being a Notre Dame fan, I've seen the guy each and every game his entire collegiate career. He is a great tackle. He's smart and teachable. Whatever he, lacks he'll learn. #GoND #GoRavens

If Stanley plays hard and tough he will be fine. But  the teams in the AFC North love to blitz and love to hit hard so he needs to be ready to fight it out and play mean.

Will he have a better career here than Michael Oher? I'm dubious.

Buckner is going to make us regret this like crazy.

Maybe Lawson, but I don't think I'd want to take a risk on a player at #6 in the entire draft who says himself he'll likely need microfracture knee surgery possibly within 5 years.  Not saying he won't be great, but that is a gigantic risk at #6.

This. Would have preferred this or taking a gamble with Myles Jack.

What Difference will Myles Jack make?

I'm fine with the pick although I was hoping they'd trade back and get an extra second rounder.  Maybe trade a 3rd and 4th for another second?  I don't know draft value well enough

Watch the presser - they said there were offers pre-draft to move, but during the draft nobody called.  So obviously we didn't like the offers we were getting beforehand, and nothing better materialized.

Uhhhh he's the best athlete in the draft even with a balky knee... We need another stud LB to pair with Mosley

He starts fights on field. Can you imagine doing this vs Steelers?

Same. I love Jack but it's now evident his knee is a major concern and it's not just smoke.

Yep. I'm pretty happy with this one. I thought the difference between Stanley and Tunsil was small for a while, and after the stuff I learned today about Tunsil, it's just not worth risking taking Tunsil this high after that picture. Stanley is not as bad as people claim he is in the run game and he does get to the second level if you watch his games. His hands are great and he has a strong lower body. He needs to develop his upper body more, but I think the guy will be a great player.

Love it

Nice watching this tape of Stanley having his way with Lawson...

that's the game where everyone says lawson owned stanley but i don't see it that way. I'm happy we got him now. there are rarely any elite tackles available in round 2 and beyond.

Polarizing matchup. Many people believe the exact opposite.

Watch the tape. Stanley did a good job. Lawson's spin move is a good attribute. But he did a good job that game.

Love this pick.
