Welcome to Baltimore, Ronnie Stanley, Round 1 pick 6

583 posts in this topic

I love how he says "you never pass up talent for character" where  Stanley isn't lacking in the talent department either.

Joey I'll tell you what he's gonna say. He'll say that the bong video like the Ray rice video is a conspiracy, then he will say that Stanley had a cupcake schedule. Despite the fact that I've disproved him before on this fact.

its not worth it dude.

Eh I know all his angles, I'm just a sucker for a good hailstorm of rebuttals.

I am so disappointed in bosa, he's being so stupid and unreasonable and I thought he was a slam dunk pick worthy of first overall

Sometimes evaluating players outside of skillset do pay off.   That is one thing I would never worry about Ronnie.   Yeah, Tunsil might have all the raves, but I'd be fearful of him lapsing soon as his ego balloons.

Well, I'm breaking my pledge here.  What I worry about with Stanley is that he does have a supremely confident bearing.  But he's getting worked out by our 2nd tier pass rushers.  (Link to the one  short video I posted and check out his body language walking back to the huddle.) Z Smith is wearing him down and even Matt Judon is chipping away.  What I sense is about to happen in the Buffalo game is that Stanley is going to crack and once his ego balloon is broken his play will tumble like a river rushing down a mountain.

There's something else I haven't shared. It's in regard to his nickname which I will break out in week one. I will post it pregame in a hidden thread and then link to it after it occurs so the time and date stamp make it clear it was known.

Can't answer why Tunsil is better than Stanley as a prospect and ignores Film Study's assesment of Stanley and provides factually incorrect information that goes into contrast of what Film Study showed.

Have we ever had a more classic case of trolling?

And the thing Danny is ignoring is that it wasn't just the Ravens who passed on him. Several teams with a supposed issue at LT (Chargers, 49ers) passed and the Titans traded up for Jack Conklin.

I know we are getting out of topics here, but basically the basis of Bosa's issue is this:

Bosa is a top draft player.   Bosa wants to be protected if Bosa stinks it up or goes off the rails.   If he overwhelmingly underperforms, then he has more money(just a bit more) on his guaranteed money on his rookie contract than offer proposed to Bosa.

If Bosa is even minutely mediocre and able to handle being just a 'starter' I don't see how Chargers will kick the can and get rid of Bosa.   So this issue at hand is minute.  Yet it's now a week after TC and Bosa still refuses to budge.

You've given evidence on film huh? Funny because no you haven't.

He's probably gonna reference the rookie minicamp where there was no pads where judon beat him.

If you posted video evidence before then why deny posting it again?

I actually went back and looked and he had no evidence.

Oh, and the funny thing is he hated Monroe and advocated tor him to get get, but rips the FO when they do cut him.

See how this works?

The evidence is in and the case has been delivered to the jury.  They have informed the judge that they need to see the first four games before they can render their verdict and have been sequestered.  Yet the lawyers want to continue arguing in the hallway? With some of the lawyers contending the jury will need years to render a verdict?

Not gonna go there.......wouldn't be prudent.

Nah, what a happened is the prosecutor (you) forgot the court date and came with your pants down into the court room. When you opened your suit case to see what evidence the prosecutor had, you realized it was a ham sandwich that was molded over because evidence had never been put in there and that brief case wasn't ever opened.

So the defense went out to the hallway and laughed, giving the prosecutor team a chance to regain any dignity with any evidence.

Instead, the prosecutor said, "No, this incredibly ambrosial sandwich with its recherche fungus will tantilate the jury's tastebuds into abeyence." Then you'll ask, "Do you think my vernacular impressed them? I've been studying French, Spanish (do you think the Google Translate is working?), and Shakespeare and I'd consider myself a pro. This is a surefire case for me."

He's gonna have enough compiled evidence come week 3... And it will be those clips.

Ok, even though there's more nonsense here than in a Doctor Strange comics, I'll play it with your logic.

How about you watch the Ole Miss vs Auburn game, where Tunsil surrendered more pressure than Stanley in the whole season?

Carl Lawson worked Tunsil all night. Made him look like a 3rd round project.

The closest Stanley ever looked to that was for like 3snaps vs shaq Lawson when he was on a island with him for 4 quarters, and I still don't think he even gave up a sack, he got a holding call and like 2 hits after the throw. Other than that Stanley gave up literally like 2 pressures per game and that can be debated lol

Yeah Ronnie got abused by a spin move and tackled Lawson, and was overpowered on another play, so he was pushed to the QB. That was it by my count.

Enough, all of you.  As funny as some of this is, you're addressing each other way more that the subject.  Please don't make us step in. It won't be pretty.

While I agree fully, it's literally impossible to resist, Therefore I would like to formally request a certain some be removed from the boards :)

I agree that we are way off topic, but this thread has no real life on the topic of Stanley because certain posters refuse to provide evidence and it is the slowest time of the season

Yea i think there should be a forum-wide moratorium on having to stay on topic during the off season.

Its literally impossible. Every reasonable conversation gets derailed, and fanaticism gets flaunted as fact, Someones gotta fact check and stop that sorta thing.

Out of all the OT's in the draft, I really liked Stanley the best in pass protection. I thought he had the best foot-work. I thought there were others better against the run, but since Joe is coming off the knee injury, I really like Stanley to protect Joe. I am glad we got him. I am just worried about our o-line depth since we no longer have K.O. to move to the outside and Monroe is gone. It seems like we do not have a good plan B if Stanley gets hurt.

How about we let Stanley show us what he has on the field first? Early indications from TC are that Stanley is the real deal.

Id hope my OT isn't very good against the run ?
