Isn't he a little small to be playing on the defensive line? :P

I think we'd rather play Cyrus at CB than in the trenches.

If we pull off the trade down to #15, then I could see us coming back into 1st to grab one of Henry, Reed, Robinson or Ragland

If we don't trade down, none of those guys would be available for us later, so the only option would be Jones. I don't see us taking Drake. Maybe DJ Pettway late (6th, 7th after trade)

The one I want the most would be one of these 4 players and it shouldn't be hard to figure out which if you have been following what I have been saying on these threads.

Cyrus jones all the way. Reed and Robinson are nothing different from what we have. Ragland is a slightly less athletic version of CJ. Jones has great leadership, tough, smart, an electric returner and can easily be picked in the third. I think he would be a solid slot guy if things pan out.

Yep. That particular one is rated much higher irl I think than on our forum - might not even be an option.

Yeah lot of mocks have him going mid to late first. Biggest reason I think he may fall is due to DTs having a tendency to slide on draft day

What would Kevin Costner do?

Trade the 6th pick for the 32nd pick and somehow turn that 32nd pick into 6 of the top 7 picks in the draft.

Kenyon Drake or C J Prosise will be a Raven by drafts end. 4th round early or via trade.

Ket me add My boy Cua Cravens.

And I like Mayocks draft.

Prosise and Cravens aren't Alabama players

Outside of Henry I truly don't have a problem with any of the Bama prospects this go around. So I'd be okay with Kelly, Reed, Robinson etc.

I think Henry could succeed in our ZBS as a 1-cut downhill runner, but I just don't want to test that assumption using a day 2 pick. If we spent one of our 4th's on Henry, I'd be fine with that.

Please no Derrick Henry, the guy has a ridiculous amount of tread on his tires, carried the ball 400 times last year, really not high on him as a prospect.

He's got a slow startup time and poor vision. No thanks. Even if he managed to see the hole, the defender might close it by the time he gets there. That's my worry with him.

Not to mention the tread. I agree there

In 3 seasons numbers are:

Henry - 533 carries
Elliott - 592 carries

Granted, Henry had a huge workload last year but not all of that was against really tough defenses. And he's a big boy, he handled that without breaking a sweat.

The only Bama player in this class that I want is Ryan kelly in the 3rd if he falls. Robinson in the 2nd would be a good quality pick and he brings a lot of explosion to the NT spot but I doubt he falls there and he is inconsistent.

This. Henry is built for a power man scheme with a beast of an OL. Henry in the cam Cameron days would have shined here, I also say he would have been a stud playing for jim harbaughs niners a few years back, but he isn't built for a majority of NFL offenses these days, there aren't enough quality power man schemes out there. His take off is just so slow and if he can't get through a gap in time then he will go nowhere, because if he runs upright into a DT or LB without a head of steam he will be beaten down before halftime

I forgot his name, but I read somewhere Henry's backup could be something special

Kelly is being lauded as a top 20 pick right now, so falling to the 3rd is probably something that only happens if you find a genie in a bottle.

Kenyan Drake. I'd love to see this guy become something special in the NFL.

He's quick, shifty, agile, has really good balance and can find the holes. He's not bad at breaking the odd tackle either. At the worst he will be a quality returner.
