New number font?

Today the Ravens released the numbers that our new additions will wear, and I noticed  this:image.jpeg

Is this a sign of a change to the uniforms? Who knows, probably not. but It definitely has me thinking and liking that number font so much more than our current one.

I like our number font, it's so unique and feels very much in tune with the theme of the team. If a number font had to respresent a raven, I think we nailed it, as strange as it may sound.

I do however, hate the black shadow, and I hate that we changed the shade of gold to be darker, look at our white jerseys from the 2000 SB, the gold was bright and vibrant and complemented the purple perfectly. Now it's urine yellow and dull and stale looking.

I'd like to see a change in the whole uniform. It's about time to usher in a new look as teams have done over time. We officially don't own a throwback jersey or helmet. I think the bird should be reworked and the color schemes tweaked to an aggressive look. The Big B looks cartoonish and the uniform could be modernized to say the least. A Black carbon fiber look helmet would set it offfffff…………

I would be down for the carbon fiber look, but I have a huge obsession with it going back to my car building days.  I do however would like to see a uniform change, but its hard to look at that pic and have a real opinion in my mind, as I don't think I will ever see it 3 feet from my face, I would rather see what it looks like from a distance to judge it.

Pretty sure that picture is just the quick mock up, like what you would see in the Nike team catalog if you were ordering uniforms for a youth team. It's always a very low detail, low quality image.

I dont see there being any noticeable change to the uniform again this year.

I don't like the font either. I like the jerseys we have had. I would like to see a little different look like the Cardinals have with their cardinal emblem on the back of the jersey. I would like to see the Raven shield with the Maryland flag.

I disagree. I love our uniforms head to toe, number font and Big B included. Our base uniforms should stay the same and if anything, we could introduce alternate home and road uniforms (your suggestions included) every year or so to wear for a home and road game. To me, the teams that usher in new modern looks also happen to be the team's with the league's worst uniforms, Browns, Jags, Bucs, 'Phins. The best uni's in the league are owned by all of the team's who stick with their classic looks or have dialed back the clock to their classic looks.....Bears, Pack, Raiders, Jets, Colts, 'Skins....etc. 20 years from now we'll be on that list as well. In my opinion, teams that can't seem to settle on logos and uniforms can be irritating to a fan base.
