RAVENS DRAFT :

Round 1. Pick 6 : Laremy Tunsil, Mississipi

A very good player fell to the Ravens once again. Will help solidify the offensive line a lot. Very good prospect at 6th.

Round 2. Pick 36 :  CB- Mackensie Alexander, Clemson.

Early in the offseason, some analysts had him in the top 15 picks. He slided all the way in the early 2nd round with bad intervews and bad reviews from his former teammates. He’s got an attitude that can be a problem to deal with but not with John Harbaugh who loves those type of players. He’s a very solid pick at that position and will help the Ravens right away.

TRADE ALERT!!!

Ravens send : -    Round 3 Pick (70th)

-    Round 4th Pick (104th)

Packers send : -  Round 2 Pick (57th).

Round 2. Pick 57 (acquired from Green Bay) : LB/S- Su’a Cravens, USC

The Ravens are in LOVE with this kid. He’s a player. He will help solidify the inside pass coverage of the defense. Last year the Ravens had problems covering TEs and RBs and Cravens will get be a big plus. I see the Ravens playing a Nickle defense next year and Cravens next to Mosley on passing downs will be a very good move.

TRADE ALERT!!!

Ravens send :

-     2017 Round 3 Pick

-     2016 Round 4th Pick (130th)

Carolina Panthers :

-       2016 Round 3 Pick (95th)

-       2016 Round 5 Pick (168th)

The Ravens front office was very agressive in pursuing a player that has been on the RISE a lot the past few weeks. They really needed to adress the pass rushers situations and they thought at their next pick they couldn’t grab any of the players they wanted. Next years compensation draft picks will be tradeable sot hey could be agressive this offseason knowing they will get some nice picks especially with the Osemele departure.

Round 3. Pick 95 (acquired from Carolina) : OLB/DE- Charles Tapper, Oklahoma

The Ravens fell in love with the hometowm product and he will learn behind T-Sizzle. After a disappointing season last year, the Ravens made big splash to regain that ferocious defense they once had. They targeted Ngakoue and Tapper but at the end of the day Tapper will give them more flexibility in their new 4-3/Nickle schemes.

Round 4. Pick 132 : CB – Tavon Young, Temple

I’ve been saying this a few times now, he plays like a Ravens and they seem to really like him. You can never have too many corner backs in todays NFL.

Round 4. Pick 134 :  OG – Sebastian Tretola

Here it is, the mid round pick spend on a talented O-Line that coach Castillo will work on to try to polish him as best as he can. This will be a good battle for the LG position between Jensen (whos the favorite), Tretola and Urschel.

Round 5. Pick 168 (acquired from Carolina) : WR- Mike Thomas, Southern Miss.

The Ravens just couldnt believe their eyes that this player fell to them. He’s just a very very underated player and will learn next year behind Steve Smith. Another weapon for Trestman offense.

Round 6. Pick 182 : QB- Jacoby Brissett, NC State

This won’t be a popular pick but lets face it, the Ravens need to invest a late round pick in a developemental QB. Joe isn’t getting any younger and the Ravens back ups aren’t safe material. If Brissett can learn behind Flacco for 3 years he could maybe become a nice trade bait or give us compensation return. If he doenst pan out, its just a 6th rounder.

Round 6. Pick 209: LB- Antonio Morrison, Florida.

With the last pick of the 2016 draft, the Ravens take a gamble on a very talented but injury prone player. Morrison will be the complement to Cravens on rushing situations he will come on the field. He’s not the biggest or strongest player but in their new 4-3/Nickle schemes he won’t have to face as many blockers. He’s a very tough instinctive players and will be a Special Teams ace for them.

Love it. I love it when a mock tries to play it agressive in the mid rounds, and I love all your picks. It's also very realistic, maybe apart from Cravens lasting until GB in the 2nd. I'd try to trade up for him sooner, like with the Bills for example.

. I'm not in favor of giving up our third rounder 2017. Absolutely wouldn't. I think in an ideal world the ravens would love something similar but by way of a trade back allowing us another 2nd or 3rd round pick.

There are some talented center prospects I would prefer by a mile to Brissett in the sixth round. Might also be a place to find a prospective Wagner replacement. If we grab Tunsil we can really start solidifying this online group in this draft. Nice job grabbing Tretola along with Tunsil.

I like us grabbing two corners and both you have us selecting but I have serious doubts that Young will be around in the fourth. I love the concept though.

Well put together and thought out.

Very agresive indeed.

Ending with (in my estimation), 3 starters this year (Tunsil, Cravens, Trapper) & some nice part timers this year with starter material going forward (Tretola, Alexander). And finishing with some development and Special teamers.

You can call it a Nickle or Big Dime but in Passing situations I got this :

Safeties : -  Webb/Brooks

- Weddle

CBs : -Jimmy

           -Alexander/Young

  -Wright/Davis/Alexander

LBs : - Cravens

          - Mosley

D-Line :

Suggs   -   Tapper   - Jernigan - Doom

On running downs :

Safeties : - Webb/Brooks

  -Weddle

CBs : -Jimmy

  - Alexander/Wrigth/Davis

LBs - Orr/Morrison

            Mosley

            Cravens/A. Brown

D-Line :

Suggs - Williams - Jernigan - Tapper

I'd rotate Suggs and ZDS.

Yes coming off his injury I doubt Sizzle will play all snaps. He will probably rotate

The reason why I didnt bother too much giving a 3rd rounder for the next season is because next year Comp pick will be tradeable and the Ravens might have some good ones. They might even get one back thanks to Osemele big contract.

This is a great mock and I'd be ecstatic if this actually happened.

Just a little bit of nitpicking tho. I could foresee the GMen staying put and actually taking Elliot which may move the Dolphins to actually take Conklin so really no change. I believe the Pack would take Billings over Clark plus the Panthers could very well take CB even tho a lineman is a good choice after the manhandling they got from the Broncos. I'm also not sure if Alexander would fall past the 1st 4 teams picking in the 2nd. Could Fuller(CB Va Tech) be a fallback option?

I thought about that. It still isn't worth it to me. IF we get a third round compensatory pick I would just as soon have two picks in that round.

Nice mock!

I got the Tunsil thing figured out: by drafting Tunsil, we start Monroe at LT and Tunsil at RT for a year. Then, if Monroe gets hurt, slide Tunsil to LT and start Wagner at RT! Anyways, having Wagner as a backup would be incredible and I would feel really good about our o-line. Then just take a solid guard prospect in the middle rounds.

Tunsil, sans Ramsey, is the only prospect that you can truly say, "that guys is a 100% safe pick and will no doubt be an impact player right away and for years to come."

my problem with cravens in the second (not because i dont want him but because i dont think we'll get him) is that some first round graded talent will fall into the second and cravens, while exciting, doesn't have as high a grade - and ozzie and eric always go bpa

don't get me wrong, i would love cravens but i reckon we'll end up with a fallen first rounder and would have to trade back into the late second if we really want cravens
