Jimmy is happy that he now doesn't have to worry about there being no back up behind him in zone coverage or in case he gets beat. Webby and Weddle are smart players and will help keep the secondary in position.

But Imagine how well our secondary will be after next Thursday once Ramsey is drafted and is taken under the wings of Jimmy and Weddle. With their film study habits and craft, Ramsey could fully utilize his massive potential.

Even w/ the recent trades at the top, I still don't see Ramsey falling to us.

Unless 4 QBs are taken before us, I don't see Ramsey being a Raven on draft day. Even then, Jacksonville may still take him with their pick. But, I want so badly to be wrong.

It could happen easily enough.

At this point it seems all but certain QB's are going 1 and 2.

Chargers would be hard pressed to pass up the best LT in the draft. They have T's right now but had similar health concerns at the position to Ravens. If the Ravens would most likely draft Tunsil, you can bet the Chargers would also being in a similar situation. Would also help them in the next stretch as they begin to prepare for life without Rivers over the next few seasons.

Dallas is a wildcard and could go several different directions. I personally see them leaning towards Bosa, Buckner or Eliott. They need help up front on D. A solid 3 down back is rare these days, and Eliott should thrive behind one of the top O lines. There secondary is pretty solid as of now, so I just don't see it being as bit a need which is generally the deciding factor for cowboys.

Jag's could also go a few directions but it seems likely they would take Jack over Ramsey IMHO. Jack can cover the middle very well so still helps your secondary, but they also need to get stronger up the middle and this would satisfy that aspect. Only issue here is what team doctors etc think about Jack's knee.

Not a guarantee but certainly not a long shot either. Really cannot see Ravens trading out now, unless someone is feeling very generous.

Please at 6..Defensive GameChanger, or The Special Franchise RB
Ramsey,Jack,Bosa,Buckner etc, or Zeke Elliott

Need a GrandSlam..this year..set the Ravens up for the next decade...

Im praying every night.. 2 All Pro Pass Rusher/Lbrs and a Ball Hawking Ed Reed FS Type

This is why I think Ravens will chose a Laremy Tunsil and if he can become Jonathan Ogden type it will be great pick.

I'm with ya on almost all of it...cept I COULD see the Ravens trading out to the middle/late first and getting Noah Spence, plus a bunch of a extra picks.

Either way I REALLY hope Spence is a Raven; a kid who has world class talent, screwed up in life, owned up to it(!), and is now ready to move on with his life towards becoming top in the NFL..sounds like an Ozzie Newsome pick.

Plus I think the Ravens organization structure would be a huge benefit to Spence too.

Jimmy is a great corner only and only when he has a great supporting cast. Lets give him one.

I guess they finally figured out Elam was a stinko pick and wasted #1. After years of excuse making, which only made football fans angrier, they brought in a real safety. Maybe at least for now, Newsome will address what he should have been taking care of all along, the rest of the defense. No pass rush, no linebackers who can cover people, and until recently, a porous defensive backfield. Six interceptions last year! Really? A high school team could have done that good. Holding my breath on this draft, hoping Newsome won't screw it up as he has the last 5 or 6 years.

Just thinking about what we're going to have in our secondary is exciting.  Jimmy, Weddle, Webbie, Wright... Frazier as the coach???...  and lots of competition to keep them on their toes...

For everything Jimmy said I kind of wanted to hear him say:

"darn straight I will be there at 5am watching tape with Eric"

Instead of:

"He comes in the building at 5 a.m. to study film, and you know a safety like that is going to put you in the right position to make plays"

which makes it sound like he's happy for Weddle to push that barrow.

Time to start earning that big paycheck Jimmy.

Jimmy will appreciate backup.  With Weddle or perhaps Wright he may play with the confidence to attempt interceptions.

So, is Elam wasted money after 3 years?  I don't care. He is not in my checkbook. Only Biscotti  has to feel the disappointment.
