So Josh Norman to Ravens??

I think that no corner is worth anymore than $12 million a year, but Norman is not overrated. He is top 5 no matter what way you look at it. He had maybe one bad game all year and his hustle to the ball and instincts are on an elite level. I just see Carolina going back to the table and offering him more guaranteed for a longer time and he will return.

I would not consider him top 5. I consider him top 10. But 16 million is up there with Revis money. And even then I don't think many players in this league are worth 12 million outside of quarterbacks. Look at Steve Smith Sr. who was probably the steal of free agency two years ago. He was on track to get 1500 yards. He gets paid annually around 3 million a year. Where as a player like Julio, Green, and others get paid around 16+ million and get about the same amount of production maybe a little more. That means we have 13 million to go elsewhere like improve the offensive line so Smith can get open more. I would rather have Wright on this team making $5 million a year than Norman making 16+ million. One wrong turn of his knee and there goes 1/10 of your cap on one player.

Basically how the Ravens have operated.  We dont really give out huge contracts to positions not obvious, ie QB, CB, DL.  Thats why i neer understand people talking about how we need that elite WR, yea if we get lucky in the draft we get him cheap for a couple years, but if he is on par with a Dez or Julio, we arent going to pay him that kind of money.  Its all about value

Yes it is and I feel like we got the same from Weddle. Yes we paid him more and he is still paid like a top safety... I think he is a top 3 safety in this league that does so much more. It felt like he was the only person on defense keeping the Chargers in games. I see him this year being solid but I am looking for him in year 2 and how he develops around our young players. Once he has a year under his belt of the system I wouldn't be surprised if he put up the best numbers for a safety. I love how we keep getting franchise guys from other teams that are not willing to pay them. They have a chip on their shoulder and they have already proved themselves and continue to do so. I can also see Mike Wallace doing well here but I do not think that will be as prominent with how deep our wide receivers are.

I guess i could of put OL there, with Yanda, but we couldnt afford KO.  I think Wallace does good here, not gonna say he does 1200 yards and 12 TDs, but i could see 800 and 5 easily...

1.) Revis, 2.) Sherman 3.) Peterson 4.) Norman 5.) Harris/ talib? I mean Normans shut down list was rather impressive this year.

All I want to see out of Wallace is just that. Torrey Smith consistently put up around 700 yards a season for us and that is what we needed. Steve Smith may not come back healthy with an injury limiting him to about the same production. But between the other receivers, Perriman, Campanaro, Aiken, etc. and the tight ends we have we do not need a player to get 1500 yards. We just need consistency getting open when it matters late in the game.

That's my mindset.  I do believe that Gilmore can put up good numbers, just a couple guys that mesh well is what we need.  I hope we can finally see Camp healthy but im not holding my breath on that.

Same I think Campanaro and even Maxx Williams can get to the next level this season. Right now I hate our tight ends because there are three in my head that I wouldn't be surprised starting week 1. Williams, Gillmore, and Watson are all so good. So many two tight end sets... That also does not count in Boyle (who I think will get cut in the end), Pitta (Boyle being stupid may save his spot on the roster), and Waller (too young and too much upside to cut then see him put up big numbers on another team). I don't know what's going to happen there too much of a talent pool at tight end.

Do you really think we would keep 5 TE on the roster?

I really don't. I see us keeping 4. I think Pitta is the odd man out because of injuries and it will be a sad day for Flacco with his best friend recovering. I just see too much of a risk for Dennis and we have Maxx who got better each game. I also see Boyle being cut. Both will be on other teams' rosters next season and they will be a thorn in our sides.

If pitta is healthy out of camp you think they would cut him before Waller? After the restructure I see re-injury as the only way he's not on the roster.

I think Waller performs better at TE than WR. The only way we know is after camps.

Kind of off topic, but this could mess up KO's comp pick. KO was already borderline for the 3rd rounder, but if Norman gets $13+M like rumored, KO drops down another peg.

I also thought of this soon after it happened lol

But I'm not even sure we'll be getting that KO comp anyway.
