Not no where near worth $48 mil. Never will and never did. He is a CB who can not keep up with his man. Always getting hurt. He just plain su..s. Ravens should trade him off asap. But thats Ozzies little baby. Get rid of Ozzie too

I really hope we get to see Jimmy at 100% for this entire season. As we've seen before he can erase the other teams best receiver.

Funny ppl talk like our db's are horrible because of Dean Pee's. We just haven't really invested in the cb position in some time via the draft. The FA thats some of you are saying played horrible here actually have it backwards. Carey Williams was brought in after he was with the Titans and we developed him into a SB starting cb. Ihedigbo was from NE and when he came here he only became a better player. Same for Darian Stewart. Sorry because of our success players leave for bigger contracts which is fine we get comp picks for them. Jimmy Smith is a top 5 cb in this league. Yeah they put up stats about what A.J Green did to him but thats b.s there were other players to blame for that but its funny you don't here about when he shuts down these top wr every yr but when they do have a decent game Jimmy is a bumb. smh Injuries have also pleagued us the last few seasons, not being able to see players full potential. Its a part of the game. Brooks and Elam will be fine trust me. Yes Kendrick Lewis just sucks and we know that we already ate that bullet. This yr we have to draft a young cb to develop. That guy was Tray Walker R.I.P.

We were all in for #22 years ago but he has to  prove his relevancy NOW....THIS season.  In fact since we had a down year in 15 he should have steped up to prove his abilities.  Wishing him luck but in this business you CAN be gone with the right contract

He will never be 100 percent for more that 3 games this season due to our schedule. He will either fake or be hurt after that, and he never did anything to cause it.

Every time he struggles it's a health issue. Even his rookie year. Most players say that you will never feel 100 percent after a couple of years in the league. Its an excuse. He is what he is after five years in the league and that is why Ravens will be drafting a CB in the first 3 rounds.

Donny Goerer played well before the Ravens. Cary Williams has played great before and after his time in BMORE. Huff played very well before coming here and then looked like he never know how to play the game while here. DStewart and Ihedigbo were wildly inconsistent here and at times flat out stunk. They left here and magically played great again. KArrington was the most sought after CB FA last season (not named Reevis) and he was wildly inconsistent and at times flat out stunk here! Will Hill was considered one of the best S in the NFL when he was with the NYGiants... came here and was wildly inconsistent. Brooks was a 3rd round draft pick and thought to be a steal there. He has been wildly inconsistent and at times flat out stunk. Matt Elam was a 1st round draft pick... When he came into the league... the book on him was a sure bet... technically sound.... since coming here he has regressed and been wildly inconsistent... and at times flat out stunk! Most people are not calling them both a bust. Melvin was someone who stepped in during the playoffs and played great and the more time he spent in out system the more inconsistent and worse he played! Under Pees, Ed Reed was called too old and slow, and Webb has regressed. Jimmy has been wildly inconsistent and at times flat out stunk. Are we seeing a pattern yet? Are we seeing the bigger common denominator? While many of them has had a good game here or there for us... (that's proof that they have talent) None have been consistent or growing. All have been inconsistent, regressing and more times then not... flat out stink! SMH.... IDK why it is hard to see this? In fact... I even think our FO saw this - which is why they went out and brought a guy like Frazier in to help Pees out!

And this is where we know you have no idea what you're talking about because Gorrer made one start prior to the Ravens and don't play a snap for two teams prior to the Ravens (three teams total), then didn't play for three teams after.

Williams did not play great and he played in four total games with like eight total tackles over the course of two years. He was a routine PS player and then he gets cut by the Eagles and flat out lost his starting job to DeSean Shead with the Seahawks prior to getting cut.

Most on here were livid that the Ravens signed Huff because he wasn't good. He had a decent year at corner, but one good year doesn't absolve how bad he was ar safety prior to that.

Kyle Arrington was the most sought after, but doesn't get signed until May after the draft? Right. Makes total sense.

Ed Reed was old and slow to the point that the Texans cut him, so.... pretty sure he also had a torn shoulder labrum. However, with Reed, he shouldn't be mentioned because he transcends scheme and any poor is on him.

Jimmy is oft injured, so there's your reason for inconsistent play. When he's stayed healthy for a period of time, he's fine.

I can't even believe you'll try to defend Melvin because he got his first shot here and so his play is not indicative of Pees, especially when he can't stick with a team.

Diggs was also not some elite player after Baltimore or before. He was a career special teams player before and played well for all of two or three weeks before sinking to mediocre play, again.

Elam was not a sure fire thing. He was the third safety taken in a very weak class where many, many of those first rounders look like busts. However, I like Elam and I want to see what he can do in year three when he's able to settle into one position and not have to try to do everything.

Or Frazier is a well respected coach and if you have an opportunity to get a good one, you do so. The Ravens brought in Castillo when nothing was wrong with Moeller. It's what you do.

lol...Huff was a probowler in Oakland...Kyle Arrington was one of the most sought after FA cbs last year and there is some truth to what steelcity said about our DBackfields inconsistency since Pees got here. They have... Will Hill has, Jimmy has, Webb has, Any S we have thrown in there has played inconsistent. IDK how you want to slice it but our DBs have been some of the most inconsistent in the NFL over the past 3 years... that is reality and its not like we havent made investments in that area. We used a 1st round draft pick on Elam, a 3rd rounder on TBrooks, We went out and signed Will Hill, DStewart, JIhedigbo, a myriad of CBs including making a trade for Will Davis and more. That dont count other big investments on Defense... CJ Mosley 1st round pick, BWilliams, CDavis and more... We signed Dumervil and brought in DSmith, drafted Zsmith, and so much more... only to get a lot of inconsistent play year after year since Pees took over... and he is right we have been nothing but inconsistent and I hope either frazier, or Harbs or somebody else (pees included) does whatever it takes to get it right... and stops the excuses!!

Arrington waited until May to get signed, so again, he was not one of the most sought after.

Huff was also never a Pro Bowl player, not that it matters since players like KO and BWilliams have never gone.

And that's great that they traded for Will Davis and brought in Ihedigbo, Stewart, etc., but it's more about quality than quantity. If I bring in 10 Melvins is that better than one Revis or Chris Harris? You can rattle off names all you want, but that does not mean they are quality.

The positions with quite a bit invested in them as far as quality is concerned (inside linebacker, outside linebacker, defensive line) play absolutely fine.

The one position that is frequently injured and has quite a few moving parts is inconsistent.

This is a really bad bias against Pees for no reason.

I would love nothing more than for Jimmy and Weddle to stay healthy for the entire year, Wright to continue his play, and Webb continue to embrace his move to safety because it's more about the talent pool than it is the scheme.

And to be clear, I'm fine moving on from Pees because he does some questionable things, but some of these reasons are very bad.
