[News] What To Watch For In Ravens Offseason Training Program

18 posts in this topic

I'm sorry I'm saying this because I like him personally. But, Rogucki shouldn't be a modern strength and conditioning director, at least not for the Ravens. Not because I think he may have old views of a work out regimen and doesn't embrace cutting edge research, but because of how bad our injuries and injury recoveries have been over the past few years. We cannot afford to have as many soft tissue injuries as we seem to have. We won't with a top notch coach.

I would say cutting down on contact in practice would be the safer way to go for our players and what do ya mean perrimans not running at full speed yet??....C'mon Man.....

There was obviously a lot the Ravens weren't making public during the season, and I'd be willing to bet there's still a lot that is being kept on the down-low. What an aggravating situation...

Good grief stop it please. Perriman will be ready when he's ready. Training camp won't be until July. I would much rather he be 150% then just 100%. Everyone is different in healing. Please give the kid a chance.

Theres much more to that. What must be known if this is just a freak accident, or Perriman indeed, is a slow healer. If it turns out we can count on similarly glacial speed recoveries every time he gets injured, that's a big deal. Because injuries are everyday deals in the NFL. And the sooner we know if we can count on Perriman or not, the better.

And, of course, this isn't at all against Perriman as a man.

Any player that is returning from a season ending injury is what I want to pay most attention to. How are they performing? and do they look like they are moving around good?

I certainly hope that the Ravens have already been able to identify some areas of needed improvement with the strength and conditioning program and that some of these changes have already been adopted. The need to revamp this program is going to be critical for the many guys rehabbing also. Active changes by the training staff to their conditioning routines are needed now, if we stand a chance to have a healthy, successful season.

Maxx Williams needs to get on that Crockett Gillmore off-season workout regiment and put on 15 lbs of muscle and cut some of that baby fat.

I also want to see who shows up. Some guys like skipping out and come in lookin good but some guys skip and come in looking sluggish and slow.

"the team has turned over every stone in trying to find ways to better maintain players’ health"

I hope so, feels like the last four years we've been close to leading the league in injuries (we probably do lead the league if you take those four years in aggregate). I know we're in the physically toughest division in the league, but still, not acceptable.

Permian grew up with a knee disorder, he may always be injured:-(

his knee disorder had absolutely nothing to do with the injury he suffered in training camp last year

PERMIAN's knee issue has absolutely NOTHING to do with why he was on IR sir. I just saw Perriman sprinting with his teammates and was doing it pretty smoothly too.

Can we please stop with this!?!?  He missed one game in three years at college and that was due to a concussion.
