Ravens are slated to wear the MD Flag? How would this even work?

Not sure if the rumor is true, but if so I'd love it.  I bet they'll look awesome, perhaps like the Terps wore.

I saw this and thought about posting but wasn't sure whether to believe it or not.  I'm not exactly sure how they'd pull it off, but I'm looking forward to it.  Assuming it looks decent, the NFL will be making some money off of me as I'll likely buy one.

I really like some of the new college uniform styles that being said some of them are way too busy and just don't look good. It would be nice to see the Ravens wear a different style of uniform now and then but my favorite is the black uniforms. Maybe have a few different helmets they can pull out and wear. Some of the college helmets are nice looking and change the uniform up just enough. As far as logos go the current one is the best I.M.H.O. in the 20 years the Ravens have been around the other helmets logos just lack. If they do any uniform changes PLEASE!!! let the team and fans see them displayed and have some input before so we don't end up seeing another hideous gold /puke yellow pant situation like we had last year.

I'm curious to know if the Ravens would get input from UMD or at least Under Armour on how to make MD Flag uniforms that look fresh. But I guess we'll see

 

EDIT: Just remembered Nike makes NFL Uni's, so they probably wouldn't ask them lol

I hope they do something similar to Marylands Black ops uniforms in that the uniform will be the Maryland flag but in different colors. In this case purple and black. I'll be honest I really don't want the uniform to be in the actual flag colors.

Agreed. We're not the Terps and I'm a big fan of Maryland and go to many of their games lol

It said below the box that our colors were TBD. 

I think pessimistically that they are just deciding among one of the MD flag colors. I hope I'm wrong, however, and they let us use all the full array of colors. Make it look like each uni was stitched from a MD flag lol.

To be fair, it says "flag colors to be decided", not that our colors are TBD.  Leads you to believe something like above, where they will use the pattern but fit it into a purple/black color scheme.

By scheme do you mean colors or the actual symbols? because maryland has some pretty nice uniforms that use the flag but don't go all out with the colors.

If done right including all of the colours from the MD Flag our 'Colour Rush' uniform could be pretty awesome. But if they appoint the same person who did our gold pant look, then I'am very worried.

i meant symbols. Im hoping they don't overdue the flag pattern with the uniform. But who knows maybe it can look good with a black/purple color scheme

The color of the unis doesn't help them win contrary to what all the superstitious fans may think. Its just a way for the NFL to sell more jerseys. They can change colors daily for all I care, so long as they wins games

If they do it right, they may have a new customer. Our Thursday night game is mid-season so we'll wait for a little. Might be leaked / marketed before then.

I think that means the uniform will incorporate the flag, but the colors of the flag pattern are yet to be decided.

The obvious answer imo is to just replace the red with Ravens purple, since the rest of the colors are already incorporated in the Ravens logo (though the gold/yellow are a bit different). I guess we have red too with the eye of the Ravens but its very subtle. A simple substitution would be the best route i think.

It'll be interesting to see what becomes of it - assuming the Giants use their stripe and the Bengals stick with what looks like a bad idea waiting to happen, you'd think they're sticking with the flag pattern and it's just a matter of what colours to make them. Though it's also worth bearing in mind that some will change before the season starts - if memory serves the Chargers and Broncos are playing each other on TNF so something has to give there.

I just hope they don't find make the games literally unwatchable to colour-blind people like at least one was last year. And the "ketchup v mustard" match just looked tacky. Come to think of it, there's not much to suggest that this TNF fad is anything to write home about.

Love the incorporation of the Maryland flag, hope they do it in a subtle way though, could be potentially epic Ravens uni's. The gold pants last year were terrible though, please retire those forever lol.
