[News] 2016 Ravens Mock Draft Monitor 5.0

49 posts in this topic

My Draft scenarios:

1. Wentz

2. Goff

3. Bosa-----Bosa------Bosa-----Tunsil----Tunsil----Tunsil----Tunsil----Ramsey-Ramsey-Ramsey-Buckner-Buckner-Buckner

4. Ramsey-Ramsey-Jack------Ramsey-Jack------Bosa-----Bosa-----Jack------Bosa-----Bosa-----Ramsey-Ramsey-Jack

5. Tunsil----Jack------Ramsey-Jack------Ramsey-Ramsey-Jack------Tunsil----Tunsil----Jack------Tunsil----Jack-----Ramsey

6. Jack------Tunsil----Tunsil----Bosa-----Bosa-----Jack------Ramsey--Bosa-----Jack-----Tunsil-----Bosa-----Tunsil---Tunsil

It seems to be a high probability we land either Jack, Bosa, or Tunsil and all fill a huge long term need. They each be considered the best player of the 2016 class. This is going to be a great draft!

Ramsey fits a team need for SD, DAL, and JAX, so I think it is highly unlikely falls to 6. I don't think the Jags draft Bosa, but it is possible. SD is the wildcard of this draft and it is really hard to guess which direction they will go. If a miracle happened and we had to choose between Bosa or Tunsil I think Ozzie goes with the LT who most regard as the best player in the class to protect "The Franchise".

I don't think it's a foregone conclusion at all that the Browns will pick a QB. Many analyts think that the Browns want Wentz, not Goff, so, if the Rams take Wentz - which they very probably will - they the Browns will take a non-QB, possibly Ramsey or Tunsil...

I was with Tunsil but with him being "oft injured" i say trade the pick.....

No trading picks. We may never draft this high again. I hope. I hope.

That alone is not a reason.

Well we obviously have the pick out of Tunsil, Stanley, Jack, Bosa, Bucker.  I see it going like this

QB- QB - Tunsil- Ramsey- Jack- Leaving us to decide between Bosa and Buckner and i believe we go Bosa.  We are so good at developing DL that we get in later rounds, i cant see us using a top 6 pick on Buckner.  In no scenario does Ramsey fall to us though, imo

For some reason I think Buckner is higher on OPzzie's list than Bosa.

Assuming the Rams and Browns take QBs then I see the next three being Tunsil, Ramsey and Jack which leaves us Bosa or Buckner. I like Buckner better, but can also see a fit with Bosa. I don't see how we lose with either one . It would be neat to see how the Ravens draft board rom is divided if it comes to these two. I'd like Ramsey to drop to us but I can't see it happening. My concern with Jack is his knee, if he was healthy picking him would be a no brainer. Tunsil also has been hit by the injury bug in college and if he's the one left at pick #6, I could see the Ravens trading back to 10-12 getting a second for sure and probably a fourth as well. The Giants at #10 are looking for a tackle. Either way I expect 3 starters in the first three rounds.

I agree.

More and more mocks start to think the Browns aren't gonna take a QB at #2, as the Rams take the only QB they are reallyinterested in.

When people were saying that the trade between SL and TEN was great for us, the first thing that popped in my mind was that it actually may not change anything. If CLE doesn't go QB, we are still in the situation as before. More than likely, I see us picking between Buckner and Bosa.

False, it puts more pressure on teams to come get their QB. If Cleveland before didn't take a QB, then the bidding for a QB might not have happened yet. Now though, Goff or Went will 100% be gone. Cleveland will understand that coming back around for Lynch will then become harder and that SF or Philly is 95% likely to take whoever is left.

Agree, and I do believe ultimately that CLE goes QB, but as I said, they may not. If they don't believe one of the two remaining is worth the #2 pick, they might go defense and wait a year or two to draft a QB. Or take Connor Cook in the 2nd. I don't see why the Cowboys or Chargers would trade back and pass up defenders that will be on the board. My point is, if CLE doesn't go QB, we are still in thr same situation as we were before thr trade. One QB will be taken then a run of defenders. Tunsil may go to thr chargers, and we still get to pick what is left of thr big 4 defensive guys.

Please god...not Tunsil.. let him go 3 to Vhargers who need OL.
I'll be happy with any defensive gamechanger.. Ramsey, Jack,Bosa,Spence,Buckner, etc. or I would be happy with Ozzie taking Zeke Elliiot OSU RB(Edgerrin James Comp) Franchise RB..Ravens win rings with franchise rbs...Jamal Lewis,Ray Rice..Enough Said..Zeke Elliot could be no.3.

I think it would be free live comedy if the Browns pass on a QB. Only the Browns would draft QB after QB then pass up on the opportunity when they have the 2nd overall. What would be even more comical is starting the most injury prone QB in the NFL "RG3" with no WR or runing game in a division that all 4 starters got hurt and 3 of their backups a year ago lol

yeah i dunno what Daniel Jeremiah is smokin, but I sure hope the five teams on the clock before us are smoking it too. If Laremy Tunsil falls to us at 6 I will be surprised

Well...be ready for it. Because its the Browns, and they could do anything. But as I stated, I really do believe they go QB. If rumors are true (which I doubt), The Rams want Goff and the Browns want Wentz, so they still get their guy. If that happens, then that bolds well for the Ravens. But like I said, the browns are the browns, they could pick anybody.

If Wentz or Goff is available when Dallas picks they will take him. Otherwise they will take whoever they think will mess us up. Amazing how they always pick right before us.

Why? Makes no sense.

I'm just not sold that he's an elite defensive player as advertised.  Especially at the next level.

I see where your coming from, but people said the same about Suggs after his 40. Bosa isn't the pass rusher Suggs is, but he could be an all around Dominant defender.

My top choices for the Ravens are:
#1: Tunsil (who I think will definitely be gone) #2 Ramsey (who I also think will definitely be gone) #3 Buckner (not the biggest need, but I think he is an amazing player and we know Ozzie's mantra of best player avaialbale) #4 Jack (I would have him higher if not for the injury question) #5 Bosa (Still not sold on him at the next level, especially with the transition from 4-3 Defensive end to 3-4 Outside linebacker)...hoping one of the top 4 is available when we pick

I hope that we do not take Miles Jack as I see him as a high risk due to 1.) His recovery from knee surgery and 2.) Lack of significant analysis due to his lost time due to injury. It is possible he turns out to be a star but seeing how we can't miss with this pick, I would be much more comfortable with anyone of the other top 5.

I know this much. If Tunsil falls to us, no matter who else is available he'll be our pick. If he doesn't fall to us we are left with perhaps 2 really good defensive players to choose from amongst Ramsey, Myles Jack, Bosa and Buckner. How can we go wrong? I'm near certain the Ravens have already run scenarios where 2 blue chip players being available, which one would be the better pick. They'll just go with who the consensus candidate was during these mock runs.

They pick before us because they're consistently worse than us, even when we have our worst season.

Wouldn't surprise me either.
