Travelling from Ireland, how do I get tickets?

15 posts in this topic

Hi everyone,

I'm travelling to the States this summer to work at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. I have been a Ravens fan since '08 and have been playing at local clubs throughout the UK and Ireland ever since. I have been looking forward to seeing a Ravens game at M&T since I pulled on my first Flacco jersey. My girlfriend is travelling with me too and I'd love to convince her about the sport! I was wondering what are the best methods of getting a pair of tickets for the preseason game (vs Lions) or preferably the Week 1 game vs. Bills? That will be the last weekend that I am in the States this summer so tickets to that game would be the dream!

Thanks Ravensnation!

I have had great luck with the NFL Ticket Exchange.  It's super easy and seats are guaranteed.

This.  There are links on this site for that.  The pre-season game will be WAY cheaper than the opener against the Bills. You might even be able to buy pre-season at face value through Ticketmaster, which is also linked here.  Those two are the official sellers.

Thanks alot K-Dog and Moderator 3,

my second question is what are the best tickets, especially as its for our first game. It'd be great to be close to the action, but I'd like to hear from you guys with experience at the Ravens stadium where you think is a great view/experience?

Every seat in our stadium has a great view of the field.  There are no bad seats.  Where you sit depends on your preference and the price you're willing to pay.  You can use the seating chart to get an idea of what you might like/not like.  I prefer lower level as I tend to suffer from vertigo, but many people feel the view is better from the upper level.

I have sat everywhere in that place.  No place is bad, but some places are different.  I like lower better, but you pay more. A lot more. Upper you can really see plays develop.  You don't miss a thing, but you watch the big screens as much as you watch the field. The crowd is a bit more rowdy up top too. I think that is a good thing.

The neat thing about the Ticket Exchange web site is you just hover your mouse over each section and it will pop up "XX number of seats available between X price and XX price"

Two years ago I got ten rows back on the 40 yard line for $200.00 each.

( Which is a REALLY good deal )

I'm looking at block 117 for the Bills game. This seems to be right next to the players tunnel which would be very exciting. At $181 for the season opener is this an OK price? Do the tickets get on the exchange get better value for money closer to the game or worse?

Depends on the game. For the opener I would expect prices to climb as you get closer. Last year, towards the end of the season, when it was obvious we weren't in the playoffs, tickets for some games did drop, but I wouldn't expect that early in the year. Good luck!

If you like like living on the edge,  I have gotten my best deals on game day morning.

Working at a football(soccer) camp in Pennsyltucky?

Just a little added take on this..........The seats low down in the end sections provide for an opportunity to get the true feel of the game as they are the closest you can get to the action when the play is at your end. The trade off is that as they move towards the other end of the field you lose perspective and have to watch the big screen.

As the others have mentioned, there really isn't a bad seat in the house, it's all in what you are looking to get out of it and how much you want to spend.

You can buy mobile tickets on Ticketmaster's regular any resale sites if you have a smartphone,  they scan it at the phone like a ticket.   Although I wish they would give you a small receipt with your seating info like the Verizon Center.

With any resale service you should be logged in with your info to order them.  I learned that the hard way with SeatGeek, I did get my ticket for a basketball game at the Verizon Center but only a hour before tipoff.
