Best and Worst case scenario

28 posts in this topic

Best case scenario for me would be

1st round- Myles Jack or Tunsil fall and the Ravens are able to pick one of them

2nd round- Noah Spence falls and the Ravens pick him

Worst case scenario

1st round- Browns take best player available instead of a QB and Ramsey, Tunsil, and Jack are all taken. The Ravens either take Bosa or Buckner depending on which one is available.

2nd round- no one fell and the Ravens trade back

I don't really believe the worst case scenario is bad. No matter what the Ravens will get an elite prospect

Best case: Ramsey or Jack in the first and Spence or Alexander in the second.

Worst case: Getting none of them.

Worst case scenarios:

1. LA and CLE take QBs, but SD takes Tunsil (still not the worst thing that could happen because we still get a premier defensive player, but still)

2. CLE doesn't get the QB they want, so they take Ramsey, and then SD takes Tunsil

3. SD takes Ramsey and leaves Tunsil on the board, but we don't trade ahead of JAX, and they take Tunsil

Best case scenario:

1. Every team ahead of us takes someone other than Tunsil and we get Tunsil!!!

JAX is a sleeper team for Tunsil it seems like a lot of people forget they need o-line help too

Best case: wentz, goff, ramsey/bosa/jack in any order, giving us tunsil.

Worst case, Cleveland doesn't like goff and we end up choosing between buckner and vh3 like no trades even happened...

Middle case scenario: Cleveland passes on goff and the eagles want him, we move back for a 2nd, take vh3, use the extra 2nd to move up for dodd, spence, or lawson, and take cravens with the original 2nd.

Best case scenario is Wentz and Goff go before us. I like Bosa, Tunsil, Ramsey and maybe Buckner, I've cooled on Jack only because of his injury.

Worst case is Cleveland takes a defensive player.

It's possible even after they signed Beachum. Pass rush is the other area they're trying to shore up.

Worst case Buckner or vh3. Best case trade back and pick up an extra round2 pick then trade up to round2 with the round3 pick and get a franchise left tackle, ilb, edge rusher and #1 receiver.

I really like the middle case scenario, fills a need and extra picks would help out a lot

I'd want to get some secondary help in there but based on your theory, assuming you only want starters:

Late 1st would likely be Jason Spriggs or Noah Spence, 2nd round would be a mix of Shilique Calhoun, Taylor Decker, Stirling Shepard, Leontee Carroo, Deion Jones, Sua Cravens

If we land Tunsil I think we trade back up for Spence, or it's it's Bosa we trade up for Spriggs. Immediate upgrades to both trenches.

Why are you downtalking tunsil on every thread? He's the best prospect in the class bar none. He is a plug and play blue chip LT and we have a dumpster fire situation at LT. the question isn't how does tunsil help us, the question is what do you think this teams o-line is capable of?

Best realistic scenario: Ravens trade a mid-round pick to trade up to #4 (Dallas) and take Tunsil

Worst case scenario: Stay put and draft one of Jack/VH3/Bosa/Elliott/Buckner/Stanley

Tunsil would allow us to trade Monroe and hopefully eliminate the need to play Hurst the majority of the season, all while playing one of the most expensive positions in football on a rookie's wage scale.

By not having to see James Hurst on the football field?

At this point I am 90% positive that we will have the opportunity to land one of the elite 4 prospects, or will be perfect trade bait with SF or Philly, where we at least get a third rounder and maybe another mid round pick to move back a spot or two and still land Hargreaves, Zeke, Stanley, or Lawson. Hopefully the first scenario, but I don't think we will be disappointed either way

Dassit mayne.

I'm not sold completely sold on Tunsil yet he still has a big learning curve ahead of him but even IF he is a Greg Robinson type bust he's 10 times the player Hurst is. Hurst is not NFL calibre even as a backup and the fact the front office tried to pitch him as one is the reason why Flacco now has a bad leg.

I feel like Greg Robinson came out of nowhere in the final couple weeks of the season to become a top LT though. Tunsil has received a lot of hype since his rookie season, greater sample size.

It's not just Robinson the landscape is littered with first round busts, since 2010 only Trent Williams and Tyron Smith have lived up to their draft position. Now thats not to say Tunsil will be a bust as he could very well become and All-Pro the point I'm making is that even if he doesn't pan out at LT he's better than Hurst.

I feel like people got spoiled by Flaccos durability. We always had issues with the LT position, except for that one time when Bryant McKinnie suddenly balled out during the playoffs. Wonder how that worked out...

Flacco Also had a ton of strip sacks from the blindside which lost us countless games that we were in the driver's seat to win. The value of a franchise LT for a team who doesn't have one is priceless.

That's true. It's kind of remarkable to think about how many have disappointed: Robinson, Fisher, Joeckel, Kalil, Reiff

I used to think good LTs could only come from the early picks, but it's surprisingly the opposite. Maybe the topmost elite LTs are drafted high, but the bulk of them are drafted later.

I think the demand for LTs in the past resulted in a low standard for LT prospectS. joeckel, Fisher, khalil, and reiff we're all seriously overrated and overdrafted. They all were either too raw or didn't meet the physical standards, none of them seemed to have both. Robinson is a guy who I thought would be great but I thought very little of the rest of them. I was wrong about Robinson but whatevs. I just don't think any of those prospects were half the prospect tunsil is and they all should have gone in the teens at best and I thought this at the time of their draft. Never understood the string of tackles drafted top 5 the past few years.

Jack or Tunsil would be ideal in round one.

Perhaps just as satisfying would be a blockbuster trade where the jets move to our spot with us receiving a haul comparable to the great Titan heist and end up drafting a player like leonard floyd with Karl Joseph(round two).

Best case scenario: we find a way to draft Tunsil or Ramsey

Worst case: Only one Qb goes before us and Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa, and Jack are gone leaving us to pick VH3 or Zeke or trade back and still take VH3 or Zeke.
