Smoke's Last Mock Break

Going to be a quick 3 round burst!

Round 1: Myles Jack | LB | 6'1, 225 lbs
1408642826001-XXX-MYLES-JACK253-66581694

The young man that adds much needed speed over the middle. He makes our defense better INSTANTLY, and that's what we need in this draft, instant coffee.

Round 2: Emmanuel Ogbah | Edge | 6'4, 269 lbs

Ogbah should make Dean Peas lick his chops, the ability to use him as a stand-up backer, and then slide him inside and still get pressure. His strength and burst is dearly missed in our front 7 right now.

Round 3: Sterling Shepard | WR |5'10 | 184 lbs

My favorite receivers this year are Michael Thomas and Sterling Shepard... and Shepard is just being disrespected in the draft coverage. He had a great combine, runs arguably the best routes in this draft and has an incredible drive. He's also lost his father, so the best plays for him to come and feel welcomed would be any team with Steve Smith on it!! Just keep stirring that instant coffee!

* Dream is to draft Jaylon Smith in the 4th.

I like Jack and Shepard although I would be surprised if either falls to us, and Ogbah is the definition of boom or bust, more Jane than Tarzan at times.

This will be no shocker: I love it! Jack is my man as everyone knows, Shep looks like he will be a playmaker.  I know im in the minority but I want to see what Ogbah can do in our defense.  Not gonna hit on the 4th rounders?

I am so sick of this "instant coffee" analogy. I am sure I am not alone, but I have absolutely grown tired of it. I can't wait until that analogy fades away.

Not a big fan of Ogbah but I get it. I think Shepard goes before the 3rd, possibly as early as the early 2nd or late 1st. I wouldn't be surprised at all. What makes you feel like he'll be there?

Instant lemonade it is, then.

Lol hey man, I'm just going with what biscotti gave us!

I think Shepard goes after that second tier of recievers because of his measurables. So after Doctson, Corey Coleman and Tyler Boyd but before Leonte carroo and Hollywood Higgins. I don't think he goes late first even though he deserves it.

Jack = winning, Ogbah is boom or bust and I am not the biggest fan, even though physically he has all of the tools, and Shepard is great, but I can't envision him surviving the second round, but I said the same thing last year about Strong and he went at #70...

I hate ogbah. I don't see anything remotely close to an NFL caliber player on his tape. He has dreamlike nfl measurables, but plays like he has gout all over his body. He is far too stiff and robotic to ever make an impact at the next level. There, I said it. I know I was a big fan before but that was early on and it was based on flashy highlights and measurables, tape tells a different story.

That sounds painful.

I originally watched a couple games--literally--on Ogbah and was impressed, but then when I watched him in more games he made me sad. I watched his whole game against Ole Miss and he didn't look bad. You see inconsistency with him but he has talent to become a good pass rusher & OLB. I think he may be better as an OLB than a DE because he seems to move really well when he comes out of his stance. I think one area he is pretty eh on is his ability to set the edge, but we need a pass rusher most of all. Overall, I wouldn't be upset with Ogbah at all with our 2nd round pick, depending on who is there.

I want Listenbee.. I know track guy but I don't see the Marquise Goodwin or Gault type of track guy. Like a Phil Dorsett guy who plays football and runs track.

This draft is interesting because I think we could go in so many different ways.

In round 4 I like Damarcus Robinson Kenny Lawler and Jay lee. I do not believe shepherd is going to be available in round3. Lawler is one of my fav players in the draft. I would like to see him work on gaining a step of speed. He is great for 5 or 10 yards with fast fluid steps. Would like to see him a step faster 10-20 yards to break away from coverage better.intermediate and deep. With Training similar to Kenbrell Thompkins and Campanaro is doing. I do not care for ogbah. He is not as strong or athletic as he looks. I like yannick Ngakoue and Spence far better. Ngakoue is very underrated. But he has rare speed to power skills. Myles Jack I like but ravens seem to like cravens.  Jack's meniscus needs to be examined. My gf tore her meniscus while practicing for swimming competitions and has trouble with it years later even after surgery.  It is complicated injury. And Eventually needs a second surgery. So I do not see ravens drafting Jack after the Perriman debacle.
