I might have to take a week trip back to Baltimore in November, go to the Steelers game on Sunday then the Browns game on Thursday.

Also the Ravens Steelers Christmas game looks like it will be shown on NFL Network according to ESPN

But it will be shown locally on broadcast TV, on a Baltimore channel as part of the deal with the NFL.

 I was right!

I have been wrong before. Have to think the NFL saw a chance to hype up the Tyrod, Reed, and Rex connections

Last year I looked at the schedule and automatically knew there was a real chance we would go 0-4 or 1-3(I thought the win would come in Oakland though). This year I'm thinking there's a good chance we could be 7-0 or 5-2 at worst going into the bye.None of those teams scare me.The Bills,Giants and Jets are the only teams I think could be tough wins for us.The final four game stretch looks BRUTAL.

So we get a Monday Night Football game(on the road again), a Thursday Night Game yet no Sunday Night Football appearance?

Yeah sure it will be the usual deal on WBAL with Gerry Sandusky doing commentary. Probably will watch it on there anyways lol

Steelers after a bye is a good thing.

They have their bye the same week.
Both teams coming off the bye.

That said the week before the bye the steelers face the patriots.  I am not sure what that amounts to though.

No schedule could be considered easy, but when compared to the early season gauntlet of last year 2016 is gravy.

I think starting off 5-0, as early as this is, isn't out of the question. I think we head into the bye at 5-2 or 6-1. I think we end the year with 4 to 6 more wins. I have a feeling that the last 2 games will make or break our season.

I think it's almost impossible for that we beat the Jags and the Raiders.

Why are people underating the Jags and Raiders? They both beat us last year and they've gotten MUCH better.

At least all us DC-area folk can be happy that we only play 2 games on FOX, one of them is against the Skins and the other, the Skins are playing MNF.  Last year there were like 5 games that we didn't get down here - very frustrating.

I'm so sick of playing the Bengals in week 16, especially when it's in Cincinnati.

Just about to write the same thing. Ridiculous.

No time to find our footing this season. We needs many wins early on. Tough, tough finish. It'd probably help to start 12-0. No pressure.

I wouldn't say almost impossible, but it'll be tough. That's why I said 5-2 at the bye. One loss could come from there, and maybe one out of the New York Games. I think we win the others, but who knows.

The ravens have a good chance to start as well as the Orioles (7-0) the schedule is easy at the beginning but it is back loaded, I would rather have us win our road AFC north games at the end than our home but the home would be sweet for the fans

Love the week 8 bye, followed vs Pittsburgh. If only it was away it would be perfect.

Love opening up vs Rex at home and no crazy west coast trips

Gets tougher late, gonna have to get off to a good start.

The schedule isn't that bad - seems like a fairly easy 1st half - like the week 8 bye. But, really, 2 Primetime games when they gave the Texans five???? Please. Don't tell me that the schedule makers don't hate us.

So this is probably wrong of me to think, but I honestly kind of like seeing the Steelers later in the season since Ben is usually injured by then.

Easier to kick 'em while they're down. Yes, there's more honor in beating a team while they're good, but a win's a win.

I don't like to say a schedule is easy, its too hard to base things off the previous year because of how much things can change in one season.  Jags, Raiders, Giants, Jets, Cowboys and Pats could all be losses....could all be wins.  Its definitely better than last years schedule though.

I would like to see how many times this has happened in the last 8 years.

Last year I said bot these teams were going to be pretty good, I think I was right for the most part.  I think they get much better this year as well.  And maybe this should go in the bold statement thread, but I think Jags win the division this year.

Nothing surprises me anymore. Nobody should have complained about our travel schedule last season either, because we knew it would be that way about a decade in advance, and we got exactly what our coaching staff wanted... back to back WC games.

Our schedule fell pretty much the exact way we wanted.

Exactly the way we wanted? No one would want 5 of their first 7 games away, or to have all of the westerly travel during that time frame.
