2016 regular-season schedule to be announced Thursday: http://on.nfl.com/1SbgsrO

Sweet! I was wondering when this was coming out. Still do not understand why the NFL makes this such a big deal and televises it.

Quote

NFL Network will have live wall-to-wall coverage of the schedule reveal starting at 8 p.m. ET, breaking down each team's potential path to Super Bowl LI.

Until some leaks come out and reveal certain games before 8:00p.m.

My guesses:

Both Baltimore vs Pittsburgh games will be primetime. That's a given.

Consider it a miracle if we get a home MNF game.... (I'm looking at Redskins @ Ravens, possibly)

We play either Cleveland or Cincy on the road week 1

My Predictions:

- Broncos will host the Colts in the Thursday Night Opener on Sept 8th.

As for the Ravens......

- According to the Orioles schedule it is impossible to play at The Bank in weeks 2 & 3 unless we play on MNF in week 3 since the Orioles have a Sunday game. So we open up at Home in Week 1 as the first Sunday Night Football game of the year against the team we swept last year... The Steelers.

- The Streak..... ends in 2016. We get a home MNF Game for the first time since 2012. Ravens host the Eagles because of the changes made in Philly over the offseason.

- Our Primetime games will be against the Steelers(SNF), Eagles(MNF), @ Patriots(SNF) and on the road against the Bengals on TNF.

- Ravens close out the season home against the Browns.

My predictions...

- Both Steelers are prime time , one Sunday night game towards the end of the year, one Thursday night game near the beginning of the year.

- SNF @ Patriots around week 14/15.

- Open up against the Browns

- Maybe a MNF against the Bengals (hopefully home)

- I hope for a lot of 4pm games like last year. I like them better than 1, but it's unlikely.

I wonder if they would avoid Baltimore in primetime early in the season due to any questions that could be surrounding Flacco's injury. Yeah, he is reported to be on-pace for a week 1 start, but schedule-makers may not follow it that closely.

Plus teams who perform poorly the year prior generally don't get a lot of primetime games. Leads me to think we may fly under the radar this year, which is fine with me. Play every game at 1pm and I'd be a happy camper.

Couple things to consider for week 1...

1. Assuming that the NFL follows the typical order of avoiding scheduling a city having a MLB and NFL game on the same day (Sunday), we won't be playing in Pittsburgh in week 1. If its a divisional game, it would be either Cleveland or Cincinnati if its on the road.

2. Given, as others have said, that unless we play a primetime game in weeks 2 and 3, we will likely be on the road those weeks (Orioles are at home), which likely means a Week 1 home game followed by two road games, which is fine.

3. I don't know that I'd be betting on a hefty dose of primetime games either, given that we were a 5-11 team last season and we already weren't a major draw for primetime. I'd bet maybe 2-3 primetime games max. I wouldn't even guarantee that both Pittsburgh games would be on primetime anymore. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that both of Pittsburgh's divisional games against Cincinnati would be more likely to be in primetime than with us, and I doubt they give Pittsburgh four divisional primetime games.

I'd plan on 3 primetime games max, with one of those likely be a Thursday night game.

As for a Monday night home game, I'm fine if we do and fine if we don't. Personally, I wouldn't give it to us, because we haven't earned it, but there also doesn't seem to be a ton of rhyme or reason for those designations anyway.

I wonder is our game against Danny's Boys from Landover going to be on a Thanksgiving or not?

No one should complain about our travel schedule.  I think the only game we play outside of our timezone is @Dallas!

Nothing surprises me anymore. Nobody should have complained about our travel schedule last season either, because we knew it would be that way about a decade in advance, and we got exactly what our coaching staff wanted... back to back WC games.

Our schedule fell pretty much the exact way we wanted.

It's funny to me ho much east coast teams complain, especially with how teams out west usually get screwed with scheduling.  I feel like I constantly see the Raiders playing 1 clock 1st coast games.

Well I mean half the time I don't even think its about that.

I think the overwhelming majority of fans don't even understand how an NFL schedule is generated (that its rotational) and how it is largely put together many years in advance.

And once you understand that a lot of fans don't understand this, then you see the whining. You see the "why do we always play NE in NE" nonsense (which isn't true), you see the "the Steelers always get a favorable schedule" (which isn't true), and you see the "our travel schedule always suck" (which isn't even remotely true).

Its just amazing how some people can be so uneducated and yet spew off these opinions that are so blatantly false that less than 2 minutes of research would shatter the opinion into oblivion.

And we aren't even arguing about something subjective here. There's just simply no evidence to back up most of these "league is out to get us" or "we always have a bad schedule" theories.

Gotcha.  Yeah.  It's based on previous play and everything's set already.  All you have to do is look at past play to get an idea of where games will be.  Next time we play the West divisions, the schedule will be much more favorable.

My prediction is we play the raiders or bills at home in week one.

Unless I'm mistaken, most games in week one are a rivalry, so that isn't terribly likely.

Leaks are starting to come out and we can cross off the Bengals as a week one opponent along with the Jets. Bengals to open the season in New York against the Jets.

First matchup being reported that is off the wall. Steelers/Redskins MNF week 1. Came from a not reliable source so don't quote me.

Bengals/Jets and if this is correct 4 potential week one opponents gone. I'm guessing we'll open at home against the Dolphins/Jaguars.

The whole Bills schedule got released, we host them week 1.

The whole Jacksonvillle schedule got released, we go there week 3.

These aren't set in stone, so don't lock it in. But these are likely.
