Bold Predictions for the Draft

Like someone stated, no way would i give up a future first unless it was for a franchise QB. Imagine if we did that, got plagued with injuries again next year and was picking in the top ten again.....i would be livid.  I would much rather take Stanley at 6 than trade for Tunsil, i think the difference in talent is overblown, Tunsil is more pro-ready...but i dont think its a night and day difference

I can see your points, but i think with our coaching he could become what we would want.  Thats basically the point with players in mid rounds, you see the potential, you just need someone to coach them up.

I agree with this.  Our offense is in much better shape than our defense.  If we need to put up 30 points i think we can far much easier than holding a team to 15 points.  The offense was put in terrible positions last year, going down and scoring...then the defense giving up a huge play right away and we already have the ball back.  Didnt Amari Cooper score a 70 yard TD within 5 minutes of the game?

I honestly think our early struggles are a direct result of Suggs going down and Jimmy Smith struggling to regain form after his Lisfranc. I'm hoping for better this year.

That is literally what i said from day one when Suggs went out.  The direct result of him going out was zero pass rush, therefore more time for the QB to throw, therefore more time to cover for the CBs....i dont care how could of a CB is, you can only hang so long.  I diidnt think it would make our secondary look THAT bad, but i knew it would be a big hit.

I think im in the minority when i say i think our secondary is going to be drastically better than people think.  A lot has to do with Jimmy's injury...i think he returns to the guy we signed to a long term deal, i like the potential of Wright, did very well over the second half of the year.  Also bringing in Weddle gives us great leadership and i think Webb excels back there. Of course we could use another CB, cant ever have too many good CBs, i just dont think its as big as need as some.  But to be devil's advocate, imagining Jimmy with VH3 could be one hell of a secondary tandem...if VH3 is as advertised...

Yea but I think that comparison is a little skewed, I believe our overall team is much better than the Vikings (I think that's who you are referring to).  One player doesn't determine playoff wins, but a well rounded team, I know you know this...just venting.

Duuuuude, ravens are not better than the vikings. You know better. Vikings are bursting with young talent. ravens are desperate for young talent. The Vikings stole daneel Hunter a dude I really like. Even stole a stud receiver from ravens backyard. Vikings have drafted well recently and even got a qb while rebuilding. And many ravens fans do not even want to speak of the Harrison Smith trade. ravens are an older team. There are no guarantees with all the players ravens signed this offseason. The ozzie idea of a bargain is a declining player that causes him to be cheaper cuz most teams are not interested in him. I do not like the Weddle signing at all. I know he is a name but 32 coming off an unimpressive season. And chargers wanted no part of paying him big money atbthe juncture in his career.

I just disagree.  I know the Vikes have a lot of young talent, but I don't believe in Bridgewater...or their kicker.  AP is obviously great and Diggs will be a beast, they are building something nice there.  AP has to hit a wall at somepoint, the guy is 31, already past the prime for a normal RB, but we can all agree he is far from normal.

The Vikes have young talent but I dont know if they're trending up or if they just benefit from playing in a weak division, they choked in the playoffs just like every other young talented team.

I like what the Vikings have done, they are still an inexperienced team however so I don't see them competing for Super Bowls just yet.

Back to the predictions, I'm gonna go real bold and say Treadwell falls to the 2nd.

I would jump at the chance to get him at the second or to jump into the end of the first for him! Rumor has it a lot of teams like other receivers better.

If he made it to 30 or 31 I'd be pounding the table for a trade up, I never liked Tread at 6 but love the thought of him at our second pick.

All 3 top qbs will be top 15 picks maybe top10.

Ron Stanley and Tunsil will be top 8 picks maybe even top5. If there is no trade and Tunsil gets drafted #1 overall . Stanley could get drafted by the chargers or even Jags. Do not let jags signing a tackle trick you.Jags could bag Ron Stanley

Ron Stanley will be better than Tunsil with more upside once he hits an nfl  strength and nutrition /conditioning  program. His body is not even close to being maxxed. He is smarter with better technique as well. Longer arms bigger legs/natural frame thus stouter natural anchor. Tunsil just plays more agressive so far. Ron  Stanley plays with pride and will jump his aggression for players He will play in nfl.

Yannick Ngakoue will be a top50 pick,better than Buckner and a force in the nfl at the edge.

Buckner will be a bust

Hargreaves will fall out of top10

This will be a good draft for productive low end #1/top end#2 receivers

Cravens will be top50 pick and will be a very good lb and play at 230-240 lbs.

Defensive tackles will not be drafted as fast as expected. As a result of the glut of stout lineman that do not stand out as double digit sack guys. Very even in talent and many teams will be content to draft their next best rated lineman in the following round cuz of how even the tackles on defense are rated. And option for a position not as deep on skill. Some round1 talents will be available in round3. Only the more diligent scouting teams will covet a particular Defensive tackle. WRs edge rushers, 3 down lbs, offensive tackles and even dbacks will get drafted before expected cuz it is not a deep draft at the key positions that effect or defend the throwing game.

Drama case or not Nkemdiche will be drafted before many of the runstuffers cuz of his explosion and athleticism to get to the qb.

Maybe the Titans will give up all they got from the Rams since the Rams will pass on Wentz and take Vontae Mack #1 overall and Wentz will fall to 6 and the Titans will give up all they got from the Rams in order to move up and take him.

If Tunsil somehow falls to 4 or 5, some teams will be trying hard to trade up ahead of us for him.

Prediction: Eagles get it done.

Then we end up drafting Tusnil, Ramsey, Bosa, and Jack because they all fall to our picks.

I am 100% on board and would pray for Ozzie to make a splash and come back in at pick #31 because the value would be there and Flacco would no longer have nightmares of endless dropped balls lol

That's my guess as well.

How much do you think it would take?

and

Who do you think will be there?

Jack or Ramsey, assuming Tunsil goes at 3. I don't think it will cost as much as people think. 3rd might have to get involved but I could see something working out using our tradable 4ths.

It's the Cowboys holding the 4th selection I cant see this scenario

Rams shock the world and draft Jalen Ramsey, causing mass hysteria, and the next three picks all get traded for big hauls. Nothing goes as expected. We still get Tunsil.

Buckner going be a bust? What he is the most sure thing in this draft the most Pro ready playing I don't understand the bust tag.
