Besides Chic Fila we only eat fast food when traveling. In n Out, Del Taco and Baja Fresh all raise the bar. When in Arizona find a Subway(my boys loved Subway), then go to the hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that will be nearby. lol  Don't ask, all I can say is that it works.

I saw someone mention Ledos. The original Ledos pizza was served only at the Ledos restaurant in Adelphi and at a place the family owned in Greenbelt called The Fireside. While the franchise stuff is darn good, the original was legendary. Both places are long gone.

I was literally in Tucson two weeks ago. Beautiful. Maybe my favorite Mexican food I've ever had was there. I ordered a steak with a chile rileno and enchilada for $17. Then spent another $15 on fried ice cream, flan and tres leches cake

Okay for the locals.
Primarily those of us in The Peoples Republic of Glen Burnie, and surrounding areas.

Ann's Footlongs.

It is a landmark for people in this area.  It's legendary.
The food is nothing spectacular.  It's good.  Quite good, but that is about it.  Either way, pretty much any time you go there, there is a line out the door.  In all my years of going to Ann's, I have NEVER not had some sort of wait.

For those not from this area Ann's is this little shack that has a counter with eight stools.  Thats it.  Super tiny place.  Its been there in that exact spot for fifty some years.  At one point in time it was just backed up to woods, but a developer bought the property with the intent of building a mall.   The one wrench in the developer's fan was Ann's was in the way.  He made many, many offers to buy the land that Ann's stood on and made ridiculous offers for rent in the mall for pennies.  Ann's stayed put.  As a matter of fact the layout and location of the mall actually had to be altered to make room for Ann's property.  Anns stayed put, and like I said, more often than not there is a line out the door.  The mall opened some time in the mid 80's and today is on the verge of closing, due to the fact it is less than 50% occupied (?) and Ann's is as busy as ever.

Chilli and cheese half a double footlong.  Fries and a strawberry shake.  The ladies behind the counter will take multiple orders at a time and write nothing down.  In my twenty some years of going to Ann's only once have I gotten a wrong order.
The food will not set the world on fire, but Ann's is truly a place to visit and experience.

Seeing the first post in this thread made me really want Pizza John's. People in the White Marsh/Essex area should know what I'm talking about.

If we are gonna talk about restaurants I gotta talk about one of my Fav's.

Mission BBQ. I went to the original the week it opened here in The Peoples Republic of Glen Burnie.

That place can do no wrong.  Their Old Bay Ribs are consistently amazing.  I never sauce them they are that good.
There are more Mission BBQ's popping up all over the place.  I eat there pretty regularly and I have never been disappointed.   I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and there is nothing bad there.

LOVE MIssion BBQ

Agree 110% on Mission, my favorite restaurant by far, it's the only place in MD I've found "real BBQ" and now they have like 30+ restaurants I think all down the coast, I just hope the quality doesn't deteriorate with it expanding so much.

I remember when Chipotle first opened the food was amazing but as they expanded, it began to go down. Kinda sad, honestly.

I don't think MBBQ will do the same, but you never know. There's a new trend in fast food which has changed how it is seen. I definitely agree on their food--it's legit.

I will take the blame.

No worries whatsoever.

As a matter of fact I am pretty sure I did you a favor.

Disagree. I love some Diners. So cheap. Cheap breakfast. There was once a place in Upland Ca that served a two dollar breakfast that was surprisingly very good and plentiful...

The key word is SOME.

I visited a diner in Buffalo and had an amazing breakfast.  The most perfect over easy egg I have ever had. Places like that are not the norm though.

Not in my experience, and I've had a lot.  The daily specials are routinely very good.  Not 5 star, but definitely worth the money.
