Dream Draft

59 posts in this topic

I had a strange dream this happened, but that is most likely all it would ever be,

Trade back two spots with Philly and acquire their third rounder.

(8) Hargreaves

After a pretty big slide for Lawson we trade our second and original third to come back in at 20.

(20) Lawson

Then by some random act of God, Ozzie comes back into the second round to grab Spence using Philly's third and a future second round pick.

(35) Spence

A lot more realistic is that we land Bosa in the first and take care of a young pass rusher, then land Alexander in the second, whom in a few years will be a very exceptional man cover guy, then we see Spence still on the board and use our third and next year's second to grab him, which gives us chemistry and a young nucleus of talented pass rushers.

Even if we take Bosa at 6, I think we would take Spence over Alexander at our 2nd. Ravens aren't scared to double dip and our pass rush needs it bad

 That would be lethal

I'd rather take Kendall Fuller (who I believe is taylor made for our secondary) in the second, and hope to see a guy like Calhoun fall (trade up our 3rd if needed).

Bosa, Fuller and Calhoun, I would be jumping.

Both fuller and Calhoun are guys who should be taken in the mid 2nd but could very well slide later. Spence is a top 20 talent who, if available, should unquestionably be our pick at 36, the value is no comparison.

Round 1

The Titans hire now former 76ers GM Sam Hinkie as a consultant, and he convinces them to trade us this year's number one for Monroe and next year's first (because expiring contracts and future picks are always more valuable than talent right now). We take Tunsil. Then, the league feels bad for the way the Jags game ended last year, so they let our picks amoeba into two picks (making the first round 32 picks again). They also let us "dirty santa" both picks, and we "steal" Ramsey and Jack from the teams ahead of us.

Round 2

Spence

I'm actually fearing that Fuller doesn't last until our second pick

I can't see Spence sitting there in the second round. I'm trying but I can't.

If this guy played out his time at Ohio state he would go before Bosa.

so you don,t think the ravens need another cornerback ?

I think top 3 picks need 1 cornerback and probably in the 4th I heard they like Tavon Young a slot CB playmaker. arrington and webb might be out sooner than we think. probably arrington this year and webb next year. wright is unproved. davis did well in his 1 game. I wouldnt want the Bengals to draft treadwall or michael thomas or will fuller because I don't know how the ravens will cover them

same with the steelers with antonio brown, coats, bryant (suspended I know), wheaton.

I really believe the #1 need is cornerback and pass rusher (olb / 5-tech) and they might get a project pass rusher in the later rounds.

Well since this  my dream draft....

Ans I think our secondary is going to improve drastically, Jimmy getting healthy and I like wright.  Yes we do need a cb, but I'm not taking one to take one... I'm sure the ravens will take one before the 4th

I have a feeling we miss out on jack so we trade back and get an extra 2nd from some qb needy team and go:

Lawson

Karl joseph

Cody Whitehair because of value at that point unless Spence is there obviously

It'll depend greatly on how his medical goes

I don't get the Spence + Jaylon Smith move. You might have 2 guys not playing in the NFL in 1-2 years if Spence is suspended again and Jaylon retires because of nerve damage.

I would only take 1 player with those issues in the first 3 rounds to be honest. Jaylon Smith will probably fall in the 4th

Noah Spence is a wildcard. Now with Jalen Collins and Randy Gregory being suspended he looks like even more of a risk. But I think a lot of it has to do with the surrounding cast and leadership. I believe if the Ravens draft him Suggs, Smith, and Weddle will make sure to guide him on the right path. Jaylon Smith would have been a top 5 player, where he falls will depend on his medical re-evaluation next week in Indy. If he continues to make progress like he's been I can't see him lasting until the 3rd round

Jalen Collins (and Aaron Colvin) took PEDs, Gregory smoked and publicly stated he needs marijuana to function. Spence is nothing like those guys.

lmao a lot to give up, but worth it ! two out of the three top prospects at positions of need.

No bullcrap, I would do it if it were possible lol.

Those two would would be the faces of our D for years and immediately throw us in the very top tier of teams. In fact, I would trade all of this years draft for just those two. We'd have to hit a few late round guys guys next year (which we might get a 3rd round comp for K.O.) - We would have no other glaring needs except for DE/Edge.

I would be stoked. Our future pass rush would be set and next year we would have a deep rotation which would keep opponents offensive lines gased. No doubt that would be sick!

Let's say we trade down to the late single digits or very early teens and got Lawson. Then, with our additional 2nd, we somehow got his running mate, Dodd, by trading up. I don't know. I'll go back to sleep.

As soon as I saw you post here, I expected to see all Ohio State guys.  I guess 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Haha. I have a few other combos earlier on in this thread.  Got to take advantage. It's not like your school has a legit top prospect in every round of the draft.

Thats a game changer

Only if you delete the cornerback and insert a receiver.  And ravens are going to be contenders.
