Old School Games

So, PS4 having a total lack of some of (in my opinion) the better PS2 games available on the PS Network is annoying me to no end, so I'm going to buy a PS2.

On my list of games to buy as well are KH1, KH2, Chrono Cross, and FF12. Anyone have any suggestions of great games to buy for PS2 that won't be/aren't remastered (I have FFX and I'm waiting on FF7) on PS4?

Although I could see it maybe getting an hd re-release on ps4 like it did on ps3, but not a real remaster.

Also the the first two God of War games are really good

when I read old games ...... I think back to my childhood ....  Rygar , Double Dragon,  Ninja Gaiden , Final Fantasy , Phantasy Star , Crystalis , Legend of Zelda , even R Type , Knights of the Round .

Man, I didn't even realize that FF12 was that old. FF10 was great too, but maybe that's already available on Ps4.

 

Anyway if they aren't available already,  I recommend Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Breath of Fire 3 (since you seem to like Jrpgs), the Legend of Dragoon, and Devil May Cry 3.

One of my friends actually has one, if not both, of the Prince of Persia games, so I'll have to check it out.

I just googled that Shadow of the Colossus game. That sounds really interesting from what I was reading and a one of a kind type of game.

Shadow of the Colossus is definitely one of a kind. It's a perfect mix of completely bizarre and fantasy adventure. No game does boss fights like Shadow of the Colossus. Cant recommend it enough.

Since it has to do with old school games I'd figure I'd post about this.

This November Nintendo is releasing a NES mini console with 30 classic games pre loaded for only $60.

I do not consider these oldschool games........... these were in my 20s   old school  this was my first game system

I still have an original NES system that still works and all the games for it still work. Some of the gems I have for that system:

Baseball Stars: THE BEST baseball game for that system. Even way back then you could create your own team, name your own players, play games to earn money to power up the guys on your team!

Tecmo Superbowl: The first season where you had all 11 players on offense and defense and even had backups and it kept track of stats!

Master Blaster: Played a lot like Uncle Fester's Quest.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 1 & 2.

One of my favorite Final Fantasy games was out on the PS1, and that would be Final Fantasy Tactics.

Great game and Phantasy Star 2 was awesome on the Genesis.
