That's one of the reasons we signed Watson and Weddle...Both are strong locker room guys.

I'm predicting at least 1, maybe 2 CB's being drafted by the Raven's, and both probably in the first 4 rounds.

That is a real silly comment. They will have plenty of leaders.

Can anybody find out when the schedule release is supposed to happen. Just wondering how the NFL can screw us over again. Maybe all our games will be at 2AM. And they will be played in the North Pole.

I sure hope they don't believe they will actually get to pick all of them in the top 134. They'll probably get jumped as usual for those they think should be there. Glad to hear that they at least are gleaming at mock drafts other then there boards. It really has been pretty helpful to know that what a teams potentials are and how the outside world views fits for prospects and what motivations teams may have to swipe your guy and maneuvering in the draft. Theres Knowledge and theres propaganda.

That is an interesting take, I wouldnt have quite thought about it, but the Ravens may end up very close to the the youngest team in the NFL 2016. I know they were near the younger side last year. Of course the veterans they have kept are about the best you can get at their positions- Flacco, Suggs, Dumervil, Smith Sr, Watson, Weddle, Yanda, Zutta, Wallace, Forsett and Kock - 6yrs or poorer to 4yrs Webb, Cox , Monroe, Levine, Arrington, Lewis, Smith, Tucker and McClellan. So its definately going to be the youngsters playing big that get this team to the top!

With 10+ players at 4 years in the league, 12 at 3 years in the league another 15+ with going into their 2nd year- to pick from. The Ravens with this core of 18 Veterans above which may add a couple at most before the start of the season is going to get 30+ youngsters rocking the hallways!... "names" we hope make the headlines like "
J.Allen, B Perriman, D Waller, B Urban, B McKinney, Za Smith, Za Orr, CJ Mosely, T Jernigan, K Aiken, J Butler, M Williams, T West ..and more!

Do you watch much Ravens football? or are you new? if you are, then I apologize, but if not, then you really don't know much about the team. Currently as our roster sits, Steve Smith is one of the best leaders you could ask for and so is Flacco and Yanda in a more discrete manner. Sizzle is the unquestioned captain on defense and CJ is practically ready to take the torch. I wouldn't be surprised if Weddle immediately garners some leadership admiration as well. With our next draft we need to get more leaders to replace our vets that obviously won't be here forever.

This draft class I think will be a home run. Being at the top of each round is terrific and having 4 4th rounders is gold, as we can either stay put and pluck players we believe will be solid contributors or we can use one or two of them to navigate up in round two or three if a star is falling.

Our first pick I believe will be a stud and most likely a defensive monster, such as Jack, Buckner, Bosa, or Hargreaves.

Our second rounder will be practically another first rounder as it is very close to our typical draft position and there is many top 25 talents that might be there at pick 36, whether it be Alexander, WJII, Billings, Spriggs, Spence, Reed or Calhoun. I think any of those guys could immediately make a difference in the way we play and keep other players fresh.

Our third is the likeliest pick where we could move up to go back into the second or top of the third if we feel a stud is still there. I will not be surprised if Nkemdiche falls out of the top 50, could be a steal, Jaylon Smith, Yannick or Frackwell as well. Boyd, Shepard, Scooby Wright, Brothers, Beavers, and Booker could all be candidates.

Lastly in the fourth we can start swinging for the fences and taking solid prospects that could in a few years develop into starters, such as Vadal Alexander, Jalen Mills, Kilibrew, Deion Jones, Cash, and Schobert.

I mean realistically, any combination of any of those players could be a real delightful draft class.

Best Case Scenario: Jack, Alexander, and Frackwell are our picks.
Worst Case Ontario: Hargreaves, Calhoun, and Brothers.

Eric DeCosta, Ozzie Newsome and Joe Horitz inspire confidence in me that the Ravens will do their very best to get the best 7 players possible with their first 7 picks. I am absolutely certain about it.

Really? Forget SSR, Suggs, Flacco, Forsett, Webb, Dumervil, J. Smith for now. Do you realize we just signed Ben Watson who is a tremendous leader, Weddle who was the unquestioned general of the Chargers defense for a long, long time and for that matter even Wallace who his coach said had tremendous leadership qualities in the locker room for the Vikings!

We are not fielding extremely young players either. I don't know with the new additions what our average age is on the roster, but I bet you it isn't even close to being the youngest!

im so happy that ozzie acknowledged that they've been mediocre at evaluating and drafting players the last 7 years. These players theyve drafted have been trash but nows the time to get it right and bring in some pro bowl franchise players.

I agree about the having no leadership part last season, once suggs went down we had no one to rally the troops, but i do feel like weddle can fill that roll. Its not the age part thats the problem because youth is good its just ozzie and his bad drafts hes had lately. He likes to draft these soft spoken guys that show no excitement and anger on the field, dont like to celebrate, dont do nothing. I remember when we had carry williams and bernard pollard, yeah those guys will get you a flag here or there but when they get fired up about a play, bad call, or a tackle or talk trash they fire the team up. We have absolutely no trash talkers on our team outside of SSsr and thats said.

Only SSR is born leader but he is getting ready for retirement the rest are followers. Your idea of a leader is obviously not at the level I view a leader.

No doubt, this is Ozzie's opportunity to restore some of the luster to his reputation. Kudos in advance for all the hard work his team puts into evaluating the field. If, on the other hand, the ravens whiff again it might be time for some soul searching.

Love the focus here. You can really tell that the FO knows they have to kill this draft, and are fully prepared to do so.

Nor does it have to be, because fans ideas of leaders has absolutely no impact on what a professional football teams idea of a leader is.

When it comes to determining who are and aren't sufficient leaders of football teams, I'm certainly not looking to a fans interpretation of what a leader is.

TE: Ben Watson
S: Eric Weddle
WR: Steve Smith Sr.
G: Marshal Yanda
OLB: Terrell Suggs (though I'm not sure how effective he is now)

And at some point Joe Flacco really needs to step forward, own this offense, and be the leader on offense. He can rely on other guys to help, but ultimately this is his team and I would like to see him be a little more front and center even though he is "Cool Joe." There is a time to "lose your cool" a little bit when guys run wrong routes and drop gimme passes.

Um...don't we need to "kill" every draft? If we didn't strike out so much on the last few drafts we wouldn't be in the position of absolutely needing to "kill" this one.
