Bold Predictions For A Bold Game

119 posts in this topic

Lets just get to the nitty gritty.

Steeler's take a tough loss to Us, 14-13 OR 14-10.

Bottom line, its PAYBACK TIME!
>:D

Ray-Ray IS gonna be in your face, talking trash and delivering bone crushing hit's as well as Suggs and the rest of our Defense.

Reed will pick off "Big Ben" twice. One will end the game.

Can you picture the headline of the Baltimore Sun?

"Ravens-D rob Steelers"

or something like that xD

Nice Slim quote!

I don't think we're gonna see the same team we saw against Tenn. We were playing a big game on a short week, and longer travel time. I think, since the RAvens have had about 2 extra days of rest compared to last week, we're gonna come on strong. Very strong.

It'll be interesting to see how the lineup/injuryreport pans out, but the only player I have concerns about, really, is Rolle. Groin injury = bad.

And what the heck is up with Ray Rice????

payback time? that doesnt cut it. The Steelers are 2-0 against you this season. Come with a lttle more than that! Why? You can rely on 2 picks by reed every game! ray and suggs, im sure they will be hitting, big deal. We have a better D, not a whole lot better, but better.

Our D and your d, a wash.

Our O and Ben is better than your o and flacco!

pay back time LOL, what grade are you in?

We could ask you the same thing. If you are going to come here claiming that Pitt is clearly the better team BACK IT UP. But please remember its a whole new season.

Hmmm... wait a minute. I'm trying to find my serious prediction binder. Oh wait, I don't make serious predictions. But to address the point from fantasy land where predictions come from, I'm giving them two garbage time TD's in the last 32 seconds - a gift of kindness.

That's it. No soup for you!

I think this has the potential to be a game that upstart defensive coaches will have to watch as a rite of passage. The NFL constantly manipulates the rules to favor the offenses, and teams like ours prove time and again that defense will always prevail, big hits will always make the highlight reel, and finesse football is code word for wuss.

After they had the Refs in their back pockets the previous 2 times this season and OT feild goals and controversial TD'S in the end I'd love to see how the Steelers expect to beat the Ravens 3 times in one season. I think we want it more.
You want to talk about controversial? Ok. How about you might not have made it this far without this:

Ugh, I swear if I see or hear anything else about that late snap.....

With that said I wish I had the last Steelers-Ravens game on my DVR. Ben did this same crap at least twice on a couple drives.

Really? at least twice on a couple drives? That's a minimum of 4 plays where the ref allowed the Steelers a 47 second playclock?

You are out of your mind.

I'll agree to that, outside of having to hear lies that Ben snapped the ball a full second after the playclock ran out against the Ravens, FOUR TIMES!?!

Look, who cares about who has the refs in their pockets or not. Its a new week, and as far as I know its 0-0. Its gonna be a great game either way and being a Steelers fan, I of course have to pick them. I am not being rude, and not picking on any player, but all I am saying is it will be a great game. Good luck to all of you, and I can't wait for the game.
What do you base any of your assumptions on? This game isnt going to be pretty and I seriously doubt that 24 total points are scored in this one. Which means one of these teams will FIND A WAY TO WIN, despite not having the pretty offensive numbers that you are used to seeing from your beloved Colts.

And for the record, the Ravens managed to put up 20 in Pitt earlier this year. They can get it done, since I seriously doubt they will need to get 20 to win.
Yes they did put up 20 but the Steelers put up 23 thus why I think the Ravens will need somewhere around 24-28 points to win....

Everyone seems to keep beating the play clock issue in the ground, but as I recall reading there was a safety
(2 points) in the Titans game that should have been in the Ravens favor that was not credited. What about that mistake in the Titans favor, either way the Ravens WON!!!!

TITANS AVOIDED SAFETY, GOT AN EXTRA DOWN?

Here's my BOLD Prediction:

Willie Parker - 5 yards (He meets Ray Lewis in the hole and get's his shoulder dislocated. Has to leave the game)
Our Defense: T-Sizzle w/ 2 Sacks
Ed Reed: 2 Interceptions, both returned for touchdowns
James Harrison gets held to 0 sacks

Hines Ward get's decked by Ed Reed this time and has to leave the game
Big Ben throws a total of 3 interceptions ( Ed Reed gets 2 and Haruki Nakamura gets 1)
Joe Flacco shows the NFl what he really is and gets 2 touchdown passes and a TD run.
Ray Rice did what Darren Sproles didn't and get 200+ yards of total offense.

Are you serious? the Squeelers had luck on their side the first two games. and even your own fans say its hard to get lucky and beat a great team 3 times in a row. I will give you that our defenses are close but Ben and your O aren't better then flacco, our 3-headed monster, D mas, and Clayton...

and as for those foolish predictions that started this.... all i have to say is " what are you smokin?"

Then you make the comment that all your Offense has to do is play better? Give me a break.... you act like your not playing one of the best defenses the league has ever seen. we have shut down teams all year and in the playoffs you can forget about putting up any kind of offensive number.

Why change anything now? Ed Reed pick 6 will be the difference in the game! And one of our backs will break a TD run. (How's that for a bold statement?)

Hope your ready for a war, because we definitely aren't the chargers!

Might I ask, "Why is your name Plesiosaur?" Just out of curiosity. It must be the most random name I've seen so far.

Yeah, I don't think either team has the refs in their pockets - it's just a lot of questionable calls all around.

Dude we did not get to this game by accident. We have earned every single victory. Since week 2 we have been playing our hearts out. Speaking of that one word you stat rats cant throw into your wonderful formulas, is the heart of a team. Im not saying that the Steelers dont have heart. Im saying our team has more heart. Im going out on a limb and saying we show our best defensive effort so far in this game. I really dont know how to call this one unbiasedly because WE have the ability to score now with a very accurate QB. We have a good running game. If we can keep Ben stuck in the pocket under pressure, we will walk away from this game victorious. Its when he pulls his run out of the pocket and sprinkle magic dust on the ball and throw a 40yd completion to ward. I cant see us losing on Sunday even if we dont have all of our starters in. I see our rookies stepping up very well if Rolle is out. I cant wait till Sunday to watch us earn the right to the Super Bowl.

Here's why Roethlisburger had such a good game against the Chargers:
As good as Roethlisberger has been during his career, the one thing that probably prevents him from being mentioned in the same sentence with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is his proclivity for poor decision-making. But yesterday he made every correct read, every right throw, and was as smart and efficient as he ever has been. And this coming off a concussion. So that's good news for the Steelers, since it's clear that Roethlisberger concussed the stupid part of his brain.
