Bold Predictions For A Bold Game
Hello there Ravens faithful. I come peacefully from Steeler Nation. Looking forward to another hard fought game, yet I ask your opinions on some of these predictions.

Willie Parker rushes for 100 yards.
Steelers win by 8+.
Ravens get ≤2 sacks.
Harrison gets >2 sacks.
Ben throws 2 TD.

and finally, Steelers advance to the superbowl!

Any of you guys have bold reverse predictions? I see you guys are a bit banged up; injury wise and physically. The bye week really helped. You guys have been playing smashmouth football week in and week out. I think it will take it's toll this week.

Final Score:
Ravens - 13
Steelers- 24

Have a good one fella's, and good luck!
Well, that's actually not insane... but I do believe the handcuffs come off this week for Flacco and this one is actually a shoot-out.

37-24, Ravens win.

Now all of you stop looking at me like that. Why the heck not? ;)

My perediction. If you have heart problems don't watch. Its going to be on hell of a game. It will come down to the very end. I do think the Ravens will win.

Well, if I'm getting them...

Flacco 32/32, 575 yards.

Edit: Hey, I say that with as much expertise as ESPN analysts!

I'm not sure what the more far fetched portion is: Flacco throwing for 100%, the 575 yards on our defense, or that the Ravens would actually throw the ball 32 times.

We're averaging 9.5 points allowed in our two games. What in the wide world of sports makes you think that we'll magically give up 24??!

I find it quite telling that all these Steeler fans are coming here and saying the same things about us being banged up. They're really hoping that our guys won't be at their best when they play us Sunday. Quite the opposite from Ravens fans, who want nothing more then an entirely healthy Steelers team, so that when we whip their asses right out of their own stadium and out of the playoffs they won't have any excuses. You Steeler guys and gals never change, do you?

We are not hoping your players are injured, we don't want to hear any excuses from you all either. The only injury you have to worry about is Suggs, but I'm sure he'll take the needle, and he'll be fine. What I think most of our fans are talking about is that your guys haven't had a week off since week2 because of the hurricane in Houston, they gotta be running on fumes. If you all were playing anywhere else this might be an issue, but since the Ravens are coming to the Burg, I'm guessing they'll find the strength and energy to play like it's week 1. Too much at stake to be tired and hurt.

Here's my bold (not really) prediction: After 60 minutes of beating the crap out of each other, they'll go to OT tied 2-2. Yes i said 2-2. It will go into three OT's before the NFL decides to call the game and reschedule the 4th OT for Monday night to allow both teams to sign more players to replace the 30 guys that landed on IR the night before. Somewhere in the 5th or 6th OT Steelers kick the game winning field goal. Steelers win 5-2. LOL Now that's bold hehehe. Seriously though it's going to be a battle all the way to the end. Both these teams can compete with on both sides of the ball, I'm not even going to try to make a guess. Whichever team plays better on Sunday will win and will move on to win the Super Bowl. Good luck this weekend.

Not sure why you would think that. We haven't been this healthy all year and we still found a way to win both games. Who have you been without in those games? McCallister? Who else?

Personally (no need for you to speculate as I'm telling you myself), I don't care who is on the field for either team. I want the win (PERIOD). It's a trip to the Super Bowl on the line with the best two teams left playing Sunday night. Super Bowl baby and I could care less who's guts we're stomping out to get there. It's that simple.

I didn't read the whole post about 24 points but I was going to predict the Steelers will score 24 points. Thats why I started a post on Flacco and he needs to produce this week.
Big Ben will toss 2 TDs and either defensive or specialty teams TD to add, then add 1 FG = 24 points

Where do the Ravens get their points from? They need to score more than 24 points somehow to win.

Grats on beating an 8-8 football team at home. Obviously it really boosted your confidence.

We held the team with the best record in the NFL to 10 points. You guys got dominated by them by quite a bit earlier in the season.

And no, we're not any more injured now than we have been since the halfway point of the season.

I'm not going to make bold predictions or trash talk how we're going to beat you, considering I'm merely a fan and not a player, so I'll have nothing to do with the result of the game. However I do think you forgot the above facts.

As a Steelers fan, I predict a Steelers victory. Steelers 13 - ravens 3

I`m not going to argue with you about your defense, not worth our breath. Your defense, like ours, is stellar. Its the offfense that I think we will have an advantage. flacco numbers have been going down latley, the last few weeks, not so good. Its been a long season though, especially for a rookie. And you guys didn`t get the bye in the playoffs. Even some of your members here said that your defense looked tired. Willie only played against you guys once, without making excuses since we won, he was banged up. The good thing for us, since he has played so little this year, he is fresh. Ben needed the game against SD, to gain some confidence back.

I`m new here, so Hello. I`m thinking that our offense, will be the difference, both D`s maybe a wash, but our offense is more experienced. Thats our edge, and the home field.

Answer this though! How does ray lewis do it? At his age?

There definitely should be a medical disclaimer because there are going to be some nasty hits and agonizing lead changes.

If we want to go bold, how about the Ravens get one punt return for a TD, one interception for a TD, Flacco throws a TD, and a safety. Oh and Matt Stover still has to kick the game winning field goal :P
Ravens 26 Steelers 24

Wait, what? You're not sure why I think that? Did you read what you quoted from my original post? I think that because there have been a swarm of Steeler posters with 4 post counts, all harping on the fact that the Ravens looked banged up and that they are injured. Who have we been without?? The better question would be who HAVEN'T we been without? At any time in any game during the season AND the playoffs, we've been without (sometimes simultaneously) Rolle, Fabian, Suggs, Leonhard, Anderson, McAllister, McClain (both of the McClains), McGahee, both of our previously starting quarterbacks, Ray Rice, Adam Terry, Kelly Gregg, Dawan Landry, and the list goes on..and on....and on. Who've you had out? Mendenhall? Who else?

What do you base any of your assumptions on? This game isnt going to be pretty and I seriously doubt that 24 total points are scored in this one. Which means one of these teams will FIND A WAY TO WIN, despite not having the pretty offensive numbers that you are used to seeing from your beloved Colts.

And for the record, the Ravens managed to put up 20 in Pitt earlier this year. They can get it done, since I seriously doubt they will need to get 20 to win.

Ditto. In addition to Mendy:

Marvel Smith, Brett Kiesel, Ryan Clark, Willie Parker, Kendall Simmons, Heath Miller, Ben Roethlisberger, Santonio Holmes, Casey Hampton, Daniel Sepulveda....., that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I think we lost Troy too for a least one game. Ahh yes and Harrison and Woodley each for one. We also lost our LS in the middle of a tight game.
