Bold Predictions For A Bold Game

119 posts in this topic

Hello there Ravens faithful. I come peacefully from Steeler Nation. Looking forward to another hard fought game, yet I ask your opinions on some of these predictions.

Willie Parker rushes for 100 yards.
Steelers win by 8+.
Ravens get ≤2 sacks.
Harrison gets >2 sacks.
Ben throws 2 TD.

and finally, Steelers advance to the superbowl!

Any of you guys have bold reverse predictions? I see you guys are a bit banged up; injury wise and physically. The bye week really helped. You guys have been playing smashmouth football week in and week out. I think it will take it's toll this week.

Final Score:
Ravens - 13
Steelers- 24

Have a good one fella's, and good luck!

I think you have us confused with the San Diego Chargers. What a bunch of flakes they are.

If that's your bold prediction, prepared to be disappointed. Last game we were getting enough pressure, that all you could throw is short routes. Parker, please, he's the type of back we accel against.

The only teams that have come close to having a running back run 100 yards on us, are teams with great offensive lines. Giants, Titans. The Steelers have one of the worst OLs in the league.

I'm not a troll. I'm not disrespecting anyone. I respect the team and the fans. Some of the actions and things said are bad but I don't dwell on them.

Parker is running laterally again, he's healthy. All it takes is one play for a big 70+ TD run.

Don't let the Chargers game get to your head there.

We have gone over 30+ games straight without a single rusher breaking 100 yards, last time we met Parket got 47, what makes you think he can now somehow pull 100? At least do some homework if you are going to make a foolish prediction.

Have you guys lost sight of the word bold? They're very unlikely, yes, but they can happen if our team plays to it's strength. As you guys have experienced also, our offense has struggled. Our OL blocked, Ben played very well, and Parker ran well. If we play semi-decent offense I can see it happening.

niiiiice one. Got a good little chuckle outta that.

&&

I hope this Steeler's fan isnt serious. 24 Points is pushing it, but saying Parking is going to get a 70+ yard running TD is just going overboard.

You said you arent disrespecting us, but by saying that... You just did.

The nerve of these people.... >.>

Seriously, what kind of response did you expect? You say that our entire defense will get less than 2 sacks, but one player on your team will get more than 2.

Yes, that could happen. Anything could happen. The total opposite could happen.

But, honestly, I've seen too many people go to the sites of opposing teams and camouflage their words as "bold predictions" and trying to sound friendly, when what they are really doing is trash talking.

So, you think your team can do all that? Fine. But do you really think you are going to come here and tell us that your team is going to run all over ours and that we won't "fight" back? We love our team, and will support our team, as much as you will yours.

I'm asking for a discussion and a nice conversation. I wouldn't wish you luck if I wasn't. I could be a real JO and go around aimlessly trashing you guys but I put bold predictions (not likely) and ask for a discussion, yet I get this?

I don't mind. I'm just enjoying shooting down your "bold" predictions. It's all good. Best of luck to your team as well. The game should live up to its billing. Watch it dump a foot of snow during the game. Who know, maybe this game will be one of those "classic" games.

cmon man... Why go with bold predicitions. Itd be much easier to just throw out a close score without a winner.

14-17

That might be the outcome. Its gonna be really close.

Id love to throw out stats for the game but during a game that has the Steelers and Ravens you can never even come close.

I guess it's because every one of your bold predictions favored the Steelers. Not that I blame you - you want to support your team. But if I were making honest predictions, I would give your team some credit. You gave the Ravens no credit - so it comes across as trash talking.

I feel this was an honest prediction. Yes, we are banged up and probably tired. Hopefully, the extra day rest this week will help. I also hope that our players' drive will overcome the wear and tear that they have been through. I have faith in our Ravens, but it won't be easy.

Good luck with that. I'm once agian so amused that Steelers fans are oh so confident yet agian. After they had the Refs in their back pockets the previous 2 times this season and OT feild goals and controversial TD'S in the end I'd love to see how the Steelers expect to beat the Ravens 3 times in one season. I think we want it more.

Boy they're coming out of the woodwork now. Its bad enough that I have to see Steelers fans in Maryland but now I've got to listen to this bs? Wow. We aren't the Chargers. Be ready Pittsburgh. Here come the Ravens, the team you don't wanna see.

We all know that the Chargers made you guys look good. But C'mon, come back to the real world here...You predicting Parker to get 100yds rushing is like me predicting Flacco will get 100yds rushing.

I'm not going to predict the score but its a 50/50 chance for either team. One bad turnover will be the outcome of this game.

GOOD LUCK!

The Ravens are banged up and that's what is the primary concern to me. The Ravens had a battle, and the Steelers had a walk in the park it's like they are going to get 2 weeks off. However the Steelers did win the division, so the Ravens can't complain about that. I'm hoping Ray Rice plays a big role in this game. He is a gamebreaker that that could catch the Steelers a little off guard, considering they have the #1 run D, still a three headed monster is stronger than a 2 headed monster. The Ravens did get one extra day of rest that should help a little. I would think the odds are a little stacked against the Ravens and I am hoping for a few mistakes fromt he Steelers to make up for it.

Ravens D holds Parker to under 100 yds.
Ravens get 3 sacks and 2 turnovers
Harrison gets one sack if he is lucky
Ben throws no TD's and at least 1 int.
Ravens win and go to Tampa. Don;t like to predict final scores, but Ravens take this one.
Good luck!

100% agree about Rice. I'd love to Marcus Smith get a catch or 2.. I dont think the Steelers would be expecting it. We cany rely on our running game in this one. We NEED to pass the ball. Im really glad our boys got a day off. I think they will be well prepared for this game. Trust me. They dont want to lose to the Steelers just as badly as the fans dont want them too. I was feeling a little IFFY yesterday. But after I thought about it.. I realize that we CAN win.. but its time to pull out every trick Cam has up his sleeve. Harbs has been saying ..we still havent played our best football. Well then lets see it this week agianst the Steelers.

Exactly what I'm looking forward to. Something to discuss. It's going to be a damn hard fought game and as always the Ravens scare me. None of these predictions may come true. All of these may. It's gonna be a fight. I like what I heard on PTI, this game should be held in the Coliseum.

I'm looking for bold but all I see is stupid.

At least make a prediction that involves some form of thought.

Odds are meant to be broken, at the beginning of the season we were a team that was in the makng and would be lucky if we came away with 8-8 season, well we beat those odds by far, no rookie QB from a second string school (as the experts claim) would ever be able to meet NFL standards, well need I say more, we have already defied so many odds, so I believe the odds are in favor of the RAVENS!!! Optimism and confidence will take your much further in life!!!!

I'm not going to call you a troll, but we have played 2 of the best games in the NFL this year. So after we beat the steeler's on Sunday you can say we have played the best, been beaten by the BEST and still feel good knowing that the best comes from the Best division in the NFL, the AFC North. :o Good Luck on Sunday!

I've just never seen the need or reason for predictions that include actual scores and stats.
Bottom line: Most Steelers fans think we'll win. Most Ravens fans think you'll win. They still have to play the game, anything can happen and so here we are back at square one.
