Why can't Baltimore sports teams win decisive and not cause us to panic? If the Orioles make the playoffs, they aren't lasting long the way they are playing.

OMG ... I wish I could have seen that! I'm sure it was more exciting live than looking at ESPN's MLB Gamecast. Gotta look for the clip later.

Why does this team make everything so difficult? :gaah:

Got the win but man that was so close to having to go to the bottom of the 9th to try to win it. Let's just make tomorrow less difficult please Orioles.

Please tell me ESPN does not have the official rotation correctly laid out for the Orioles, because they have us starting Miley tomorrow as a part of a 6 man rotation over the next week.

Haven't we seen enough? Since joining us, he's 1-5 with a 8.41 ERA and 1.87 WHIP. Can't we just roll with a 5 man rotation at this juncture, despite not having a day off this week? If he does go, it appears it will be his final start as we'll go with 5 men the rest of the way, given we do have an off day on the 26th.

If we do roll him out there ... dude, please make it so that you're not a complete failure in your stint with us and get us this win before we put you on the shelf the rest of the way.

Guessing it's needed to line up our 4 best against the sawx.

Actually - the rotation we have going into the Sox series will be arguably weaker, if you consider that we end up having Bundy in rather than Tilman. It isn't a big difference perhaps, but I think you'd have to give the edge to Tilman ... and I'd feel better about coming away with 3-1 vs. the Rays if we have Bundy go tomorrow rather than Miley (of course, assuming Tilman gets it done tonight).

I have to think it is all about Buck worrying about over use on both Bundy and Gausman ... but as I heard the guy on ESPN calling the game that Gausman went 8 scoreless - at this time of the year, the training wheels have to come off.

I just saw the replay of the relay and the laser by Manny to Weiters, and Joe Angel saying, "They got him! They got him! They got him! They got him at the plate!!!!!! And that is how the ballgame ends!" It gave me goosebumps. That moment really was something special.

That's one of those pieces of tape (or whatever media they use these days) for the ages.

And, yes, @balfan23, the Miley start was announced Thursday.  We're hoping it's because the game might get rained out.  Why waste a real pitcher?

Also I'm thinking I heard somewhere that Miley has a good record against TB. IDK.  Buck knows what he's doing, this ain't his first rodeo.    lol

Oh - I know. Of course I trust Buck, but it still makes me queasy just seeing his name there as the starter.

Huh - never thought of that. This time of year, the umps make them play through a lot, so it would have to be an all day rain event. The forecast doesn't look that bad, so I'd be surprised if they didn't get it in.

Oh well, like I said, perhaps he can dig down deep and give us one good one to make up for the disasters he's led us to over the past month.

Crap! I thought those worthless Yanks were going to do us a favor when I saw it was 3-0. Guess we have to take care of them ourselves.

I thought I heard Palmer say last night that the only teams doing better than TB since the all star break are Cubs and sawx. AL east is tough this year.
