After the first game I said, "This is why the Orioles won't win it all. They can't handle the Red Sox."

Well, maybe if they have a rotation of Tillman, Bundy, Gasuman, and Baldy, they can.

Confucius say, one game not make series.   lol

How crazy is it that Ubaldo is now in this group and not the Gallardo/Miley group?

I always thought he had it in him, but my faith wavered. I just never imagined that he'd be a driving force for a pennant team after the start to this year.

I've always liked Ubaldo despite the results.  As much as I didn't want to see him out there at times this season, I never questioned his heart.  He always gave it his all even though the results weren't pretty.  I respect that about him.  Now, I just hope that the Ubaldo we've seen recently sticks.

Possibly one of the most talented pitchers in the league; just way too erratic.

I feel like his mechanics have been a little more under control recently.  When his body is flailing all over the place, that's when he struggles.  When he keeps it tight and compact (at least as far as Ubaldo standards go), he can be a really good pitcher.

Goofiest mechanics in the league

Yeah you can tell how badly he wants to do well. Always respect that about him, even when he isn't pitching well.

We have to figure out how to skip Miley's starts moving forward... we can't afford it at this point.

KG is balling right now and is showing us #1 stuff. If he keeps it up, we'll have a very formidable 1-2 punch come October!

Detroit loses today, moves them back in the standings assuming we take care of business tonight.

Meanwhile Boston gets to face Tanaka and it could very well end up being a pitching duel for them again tonight. This race is getting more and more interesting

Beating them 1-0 on the road to porcello is as impressive as it gets really. This is one of the years I hate that the mlb playoff allowance is so small. Only 4 teams for the ALDS but theres about 9 worthy

I like it the way it is. It's still a bonafide  pennant race with one possible side door.  If it were any different a lot of the 162 would mean squat and ruin MLB.

Got right back into it with that first inning action.

That's why they play nine innings.   haha

Two men on base, and neither Trumbo or Crush can at the very least bring the guy on third home to make it a 2 run ball game. Huge opportunity missed there, so we potentially lose to an under .500 team one game within Boston while the Yankees are leading Boston 5-1 where we could be in a first place tie if they lose and we win. Please make the comeback O's!

You're probably right, I have to say besides the cubs the NL pales in comparison to the AL again this year.

Why oh why do we lose games that we should win? Boston is on track to lose to the Yankees and we can't take advantage to tie in the standings. What has happened to Crush and Trumbo?

Blue Jays likely to win and Boston comes from behind to win against the Yankees so we are right back to where we were yesterday.
