While I fully understand the options are lacking at SP, you just can't keep throwing Ubaldo out there.  1 decent start here and there isn't enough to keep saving his job.  Nothing is going to change if we don't even attempt to make improvement.

This is why Dave Wallace should be fired. Give Scott McGreggor the job

So glad to end the losing streak.  A lot changed this past week.  Now it's Toronto on our tail in the standings.

Someone told me Orioles are home grown. I say not most of them. Chris Davis from Rangers org, Adam Jones was from Seattle. Trumbo was from Angels,Rickard was from Rays,J.J Hardy was from Brewers. Most of pitchers are Home grown . The only time O's had 90% players home grown was 1970s Orioles org.

Manny, Trumbo, Wieters, Britton, and Brach are All-Stars.  Big congrats to Brach in particular.  Hard for middle relievers to make it, but he's been so dominant.

So glad to see Brach make it! Congrats to the others as well. :)

The problem with acquiring better pitching at this point is that so many other teams are looking for pitching as well. Makes it tough.

Damn, Dylan Bundy just got all seven of his outs by strikeout. That's insane and he is really coming on strong lately.

So let me get this straight... Joseph sucks, but we can trade him for a competent SP? Cool, I am now enlightened on the merits of trade value.

Matt Morre is a Starter a real starter.  Better than Ubaldo.

And we can get a real starter for a backup catcher that "sucks" according to you?

I thought Britton was going to blow that save in the bottom of the 14th.

Anybody other than Davis playing 1st and we would have lost.  OMG that catch!

I agree, IMHO Davis is a quality fielder at first base.

His defensive skills are the reason I can ignore all the strikeouts. :)

The time is now for Dylan Bundy. We don't need a top of the rotation type player, although it would be nice...still believe we have some of those types down on the farm.

If we can get Bundy into the rotation, and maybe pick up an additional bullpen arm....we're set.

Bundy has probably had a sub 2.00 ERA (probably under 1.50 as well) since taking over the long reliever role.

I'd be down to see him in a starting role after his recent outings seem to show he's recaptured his stuff.

We all want that, but I hear the Orioles still have him on limited innings this year.

I heard that as well, but for some reason I thought the other night that Buck had said he might be an option later in the year. Could be totally wrong.

At the game tonight, lets see how Jimenez does

Despite Ubaldo pitching, cool game to be at with the 1966 reunion.  Brooks' and Manny's encounter was awesome.

You get to see our 2 best pitchers on the same night?  Consider me jealous.  Not often you get to see this level of greatness in person.

So...many...HPs.  Ugly.  We NEED a starting pitcher.  We're wasting an otherwise great team.

The price (prospect and $$$ wise) would be way too high for Duquette to make a trade and Angelos to accept the salary.

I really wish the Orioles would sign a $200M player like David Wright or Zack Greinke because that pushes every other pitcher one spot back and takes out one terrible pitcher to make a solid line up, but nooooo, Angelos is too cheap to open the wallet for that.

Thats why if the O's lose next year i wanna see less than 10,000 fans in the yard. Remember how Colts fans rejected Irsay here 33 years ago. Today Colts are in Indianapolis and we got a better team and a better organization  THE RAVENS!!! The real traditional Browns. So let Mr Angelos take them to Montreal and then we might get the Dodgers here.

No doubt, Angelos has had his history of being "thrifty". However, at present, with recent signings, they are middle of the pack in spending ... right about where you'd expect we'd be, given baseball finances.

To me, I'm OK with him not opening his wallet too much to bring in additional help from outside ... under one condition. As long as he is keeping powder dry for signing Machado. If we lose him, the fanbase will come unhinged. Me included.
