I'm just glad that he's finally found consistency because that's been a huge issue for several Orioles pitchers who have really great potential *cough* Guasman *cough*

Tillman is like the one true success story the Orioles have had with developing a starting pitcher in recent history. I agree that Gausman needs to find that consistency but I think he also needs to get tougher mentally. Chris has that short term memory trait that our other young pitchers just lack. He doesn't let adversity get the better of him. Wright is the worst when it comes to this.

Team is top of the division with a mediocre rotation and you want the manager fired because he won't let a pitcher pitch one more inning...

YES! We had a chance to do something at fenway since no other team get to do for a long time. Thats pitching a shutout at Fenway Park. Pitching shutout at Fenway is very differcult to do. But a complete game shutout at Fenway would made big news on ESPN.

Buck should also be fired for playing Joey Rickard again. Did you see that diving catch he made last night? Almost cost us the game. ;)

Nice win. Would love to crush the Blue Jays this weekend.

The shutout doesn't matter.  What goes in the W-L column is what matters.  We got the win.

I can only imagine how irate you would have been had he thrown Wilson out there and he had given up 5 runs.  You'd call for Buck's head for not pulling him out.  It's a team game, not a personal game.

Its such a struggle to watch Mike Wright. He isn't Ubaldo bad but damn if he isn't close.

Lucky us.  We get to see both in the same game.

Yeah we need to hope the bats keep us in contention long enough to get a pitcher at the trade deadline. That and Gallardo coming back in good form.

What a difference effective pitching makes.  Even though Britton struggled for the save, he bore down and got it.  Still in 1st.

Oliver Drake has 5 saves and ERA is 0.00 at Norfolk. Why not bring him up and send down Brian Duensing?

I thought he did well in Baltimore last year. I'm curious about this as well.

2 Former O's pitchers helping Cubs win. Remember this trade?  Jake Arrieta and Pedro Strop for Scott Feldman and catcher Steve Clevenger back in 2013? Scott Feldman is now on Astros and Steve Clevenger is with Seattle so how did O's benefit this trade?

He's fairly inconsistent, but damn, this one was a gem. This is the type of potential he has if he could just simply gain consistency.

Hey, remember when Jake Arrieta was good for the Orioles? Neither do I. And remember how Pedro Strop saw his ERA climb rapidly each year? I do remember this one, actually.

Strop was absolutely terrible during his final season as an Oriole. I agree on Arrieta as well. He was just never going to work out here.

I don't think it's that he wouldn't work out here (his FIP was generally around a 4.00); I just think the Orioles have such terrible pitching coaches and weren't nearly the defensive team that they are now. If he had these guys backing him up and some decent coaching, he could be as good as he is in Chicago. Just sucks that the Orioles can't really develop pitchers.

That diving catch by Adam Jones probably saved him more than anything. That was another two runs, at least, guaranteed that Jones robbed.

I would love to rack up as big of a lead as possible going into the All-Star break.
