The french mock draft

28 posts in this topic

Hi everyone,

So on the french NFL Forum we are currently doing a mock draft in which each team is represented by a fan from the forum. No need to say which team I'm representing. Here's how the first six picks unfolded:

1)Tunsil

2)Ramsey

3)Buckner

4)Jack

5)Hargreaves

And with the sixth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State.

I think it's the most realistic draft you can get since it's made by real fans who know the needs of their team. So if you want, I'll keep you updated. Waiting for your comments!

I can see it for the most part.   But I just can't see Cleveland passing on a qb

I don't know. I wish I could say with more certainty that they're going to go QB, but I will not be surprised at all if they don't. I don't doubt the possibility that Jackson is going to convince their FO to learn from the mistakes of the past on reaching for a QB and not pass on rare talent at another position when selecting at the #2 slot. With the release of Whitner, they need to replace both starting safeties and I'm afraid they will view Ramsey as too talented to pass on and select him rather than rolling the dice on another QB. They may determine they should be patient by seeing who remains at the QB position and use their 2nd round selection (and maybe trading up into the late first) on the QB position.

Very valid points.

I agree, if I were the Browns I would just go BPA with the #2 overall and wait for the second QB to get drafted, then I'd start to make pressure for a trade-up in order to land Lynch.

If that doesn't work because the price is too high I would still wait for Hackenberg in the second.. they lost way too long, too many picks and too much talent on the same position for years.

With Mr. Moneyball himself directing the team's fortunes, expect the unexpected with Cleveland. I don't expect a reversal of Cleveland's woes anytime soon. On the contrary, the fact that a baseball guy is directing the fortunes of a football team should tell you that selecting a QB is too much good football sense! So, it only goes to figure they'll select the Florida State kicker Robert Aguayo, a former soccer player with their #2 pick!

You're looking at this logically, with a touch of humility for past mistakes. Exactly the reasons that CLE will go QB anyway

I keep saying the jags will want Hargreaves bad! Maybe even more than Jack. Their secondary is atrocious and Bradley has to know that he needs some talented corners to pitch in while he gets a formidable front 7 assembled and ready to go.

Brown's are not drafting a qb. When there is an actual qb with accuracy and intelligence Brown's ignore qb. Let there be some qb with accuracy  issues or old or drama and Brown's are all over him. Let there be a clean accurate qb and Brown's ignore him. I like Gabbert better than kaepernick. He played better than him. I always said he could be a good qb. Just took time to adjust and he was surrounded by a terrible offense.

The thing about Gabbert, he wasn't stepping in his throws. He was affraid in the pocket. Mental problem. Take a look at his throws after being hit, not accurate throw from the back foot. It wasnt that bad last year and maybe with Chip Kelly with all his options type of play to take the pressure off will help him

Yea, in Jax he had so many ghost sacks, was actually laughable.

I think the Browns will try to trade back and take a QB. If that doesn't work, I could definitely see them breaking hearts and taking Ramsey.

Hue Jackson recently said that everything he does is for the quarterback, so that's the way I see them going.

So we kept doing the mock despite the trade. I got Cravens in the second (looking at you Flex). Btw Apple hasn't been picked yet and we're at NYG's pick.

If the Rams take Goff I see the Browns taking Wentz. Wentz is too much talent to give up at a position they need. But I can see the Browns skipping Goff if the Rams draft Wentz. Goff is more NFL ready but how high is his ceiling?

There is a reason for that I wouldn't touch Apple until the third and that is being kind

It looks like the Eagles and Browns are going to make a deal which would confirm Wentz/Goff going second

Sounds like it's Goff regardless. Apparently the Rams have had him as the #1 QB since the middle of the season and nothing has changed.

I would cry of happiness because that would mean Bosa, Ramsey, Jack, or Tunsil being there for us.

QB- QB- Tunsil- Ramsey- is how I see it going.  But apparently SD is trying to trade out of that spot as well

It would be funny if 3 quarterbacks went top 3 but I doubt that happens. I can see San Diego doing several things. They could go Ramsey or Tunsil, I see the Cowboys getting Bosa (they should they have no DE), and then Jacksonville either go Ramsey if San Diego does not or get Jack. I can see scenarios where each player can fall to us.

Agreed.  Only reason I feel SD goes Tunsil more than Ramsey is to protect Rivers more

I feel the same way it would make them better in my opinion. But a buddy of mine who is a Chargers fan feels that their interior line is what needs help and that drafting a tackle will not benefit them that much. Even though I could see a tackle sliding into the guard position which happens all the time. I've also heard that the Chargers are high on Buckner but just looking at it if two quarterbacks go off the board first I do not see the Chargers drafting Buckner. Buckner doesn't strike me as the player that should go off the board first.

Yea I live in SD, but its hard pressed to find fans that really know there stuff when it comes to draft pick possibilities.  But I agree, I think Tunsil would improve the team overall more than Ramsey would.  Watch SD throw everyone off and take a QB if the 2nd pick isn't...

I mean if you can't protect your quarterback might as well have a surplus of quarterbacks. I'm surprised how healthy Rivers has been the last couple years with all the pressure to be honest. I can see the Cowboys doing the same. If the Browns and the Chargers do not pick a QB I could see a Tony Romo replacement in the works.
