I guess calling someone a "Hick" isn't covered under the rules.

I agree that there are some great and knowledgeable fans on this forum, but others simply have little to offer in the way of an NFL or a Ravens discussion.
I see that NapaSteelerfan got away with calling Ravens "homers". That's right up ther with "hicks" <_<

Did someone just watch Return of the Jedi?

I hear plenty of Ravens fans who are nervous about this game, especially when we had a chance to knock around the Chargers.

What's weird, the Steelers fans seem less obnoxious than usual, a little too low key. If anyone has some time, check out some streaming Pittsburgh sports radio. They really seem nervous about this game.
Sorry but the main difference that can't be denied in those two games would be......Chris Johnson. Didn't he score there only TD against you guys before you injured him.
Didn't The Chargers almost Score 30points on you guys Mr.#1 Defense? Oh, we can admit that we don't play our best In Slippery Conditions. Let me ask you this, How many Touchdowns and Rush Yards Did Chris get on our first meeting this year? How many teams with losing records score 13+ points against us? I bet you can't answer these question the same for the Steelers!!!!!! By the way, the Titans crushed you guys, and made a Door Mat out of your Little Towel!!!
This game will be close and either team has a legitamate chance to win. All things considered I love having the intangeble of home field advantage.

Good luck (oh the irony)! :)
I like the intangible that the pressure is all on Pittsburgh in this one. The Ravens are playing with the House's money. We were never supposed to be close to the position we are in. We are the lowly 6th seed. The thought of the rookie QB (who out-did rookie ben in playoff feats) and the hated Ray Lewis being awarded an AFC champ trophy on their home turf has got to be a little nerve racking.

The same Chargers team who beat the Colts who beat you 31 to 3... whats your point? Titans did beat us but, you have yet to(unless you somehow have traded your entire roster for the titans roster)...this game is taking place on sunday and the past is done with so this game will be a great one and will show how dominate the AFC North is.. WOOT!

they can trash talk all they want but Raven Fans think about this for a second for saying anything... i mean really sit down and think about it....

The Ravens are playing for each other and for a Fellow-"EX" Raven in O.J....... they are all (the Team, the staff, the coaches, everyone) have a distinct purpose of playing the way they are.... they are playing and drawing inspiration from someone whom is in a "real" fight.... fighting to save his own life... against an incurable foe... A.L.S..... and if you think about it... what the heck are the Steelers fighting for? they have nothing to play for but themselves and they want another ring.

The Ravens are fighting for a fellow comrade to get him in one of the greatest spotlights in Sports History at least one more time, OJ was diagnosed with ALS in 2007 and in a span of 1 year.... his physical stature and body has deteriated to the point where he's now in a motorized wheelchair, lost all of his physical strength and 230-240 pound frame he once had. WE have a rightful cause to fight for..... the fact that he is able to maintain a positive mindset despite the life-threatening disease, is just something that is simply incredible. period.

So Raven Fans who is better? the Ravens team with a Rightful cause and fighting for Something other than themselves for OJ? or a Steeler team whom just wants to win it again?....... you choose.

My point being if you didn't read is that the past is the past..just because the Titans beat us and you beat them doesn't mean you automatically get the win sunday...just because we beat you in both meetings doesn't we have the win locked.....now thats my POINT.

You Steelers really shouldn't let that last game get to your heads. We enjoyed the win so much against the Dolphins that we didn't show up to the next game in Nashville. We will certainly show up in Pittsburgh. Keeping your head in the Chargers game while playing us will isn't a good strategy.

I'm not honestly I'm feeling confident and nervous at the same time,I'm sure its same on your side, I think the Chargers game more showed us that we used our bye wisely and got better on a player level then as team unit...the only thing I see with you guys is that you seem worn down not mentally but, physically..not trying to offend just a thing I observed during your last game(of course I could be wrong)
You want a relevant stat? How many times has #22 Flacco beaten #24 Rothlisberger? And yet you ravens fans will quote all kinds of stats of Flacco agaisnt other teams that lead you to believe you win this next game against us?

This is gonna be a knock-down drag out grudge match for sure! I like Pittsburgs chances because we HAVE had success this year against your team! And I like the intangeble of home field (dont tell me you wouldnt rather be playing this game in Baltimore)!
I don't care where we play this game. Honestly. The Ravens have proven they are road warriors. I didn't throw out any stats except those posted on nfl.com. You have Ben Rothlisberger, we have the younger less battered version. I actually hope Big Ben holds up, he's got worse numbers against us than Charlie Batch. Let's go.

you need to chill and not be so hostile..I meant in a way where I do think its a great story and meant no sarcasm...honestly I'd be laughing for years if a little ravens fan did that to me...again great story(no saracasm)
I love the "we want it more" argument. This basically says that when our Steelers beat you both times this year, you guys just didn't want it bad enough. When the division title was on the line, you didn't want it, but now with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, now the Ravens want it, and our Steelers must have accomplished enough this season, they are not going to want it I guess. Hmmm I think this game is going to come down to more than just wanting it.
I just have just ONE question? Why do all you Steeler fans feel prompted to post on a Ravens website?

The 8 year old image is now stuck in my head. Reminds me of the NASCAR commercial with one of the drivers little "cousins".

We're all homers for the most part though aren't we? We try not to be, but as I said a couple weeks ago; It's really difficult to see your team NOT winning a game, right?

There is a reason why. This is only your 2nd AFC Championship, but for many fans, its our 7th (lets leave the dynasty teams out of this), and we have only won 2 of the previous 6.

1994--We dominated the game statistically vs the Chargers and lost
1997--After an INT in the opening minute that we failed to convert into any points, we had 3 INTs in the end zone and lost the game by 3.
2001--A blocked FG for a TD and a punt return for a TD (the play before a Steeler defender was flagged for running out of bounds and coming back in that ruined a brilliant punt)
2004--The 15-1 season lost

We are nervous because we've seen where we had legit chances to get to the next game lost while at home. How would you feel?

They wouldn't be here if they didn't win the two games prior. If they lost they wouldn't show their faces around here because there would be nothing to say (Although I'm sure some of the more insulting fans would sitll find garbage to spew). We aren't on their boards because we know there's nothing to say. The fact is they beat us two times this season, they hold the advantage and are cocky, we're Ravens fans, we're respectful and humble because we aren't jaded. We don't expect Super Bowl berths each year, we want them but we understand reality. Steelers fans cannot see past themselves (although some have been respectful and to them I do not address this) and their team. They're jaded by their success and feel entitled, we keep it real.
