Really - Do you read your own teams forums??? Most Steelers fans here (mysellf included) all agree this is going to be a tough game and have said that either team can win this weekend.

You think we're cocky and arrogant, you should try the Eagles or Pasties forums, I think most here will agree they are far worse.
The Steeler fans on this forum are not the only ones in the world are they? I didnt think so. Every Steeler fan I know personally or have run in to, dont believe the Ravens have a shot in hell at winning this game. I even had one tell me this morning that this is going to be a blowout. Said the score would be 35-3 Steelers and another nitwit agreed with her. And they were dead serious about it. So, do forgive me if I am not in the mood to respect the opponant.

it's cool to have you here on our forum to have an open, down to earth discussion about the game. i'm sure both our fan bases are very excited about this game and can't wait to get it on the way. it is going to be a very tough game and can go either way. but to beat a team 3 times in one season is going to be very difficult, especially when we are so evenly matched. i respect the steelers, you all have a good team with weapons that can make you pay. but remember you are playing a more mature team now. flacco has a lot more experience under his belt and is playing mistake free football. once our players are healthy and on top of their game we will be hard to beat. it will be a good game i can say that. i expect a low scoring game. the team with the ball in their hands at the end of the game may be the one to win it.
I dont think thats what it says at all. I dont neccessarily believe that the Ravens want it more but I do understand the logic of it. Simple fact is going into this game the Ravens are the team that have more to prove, they are the team with the bigger chip on their shoulder because they are the team that lost the series and the division. They are they are the underdog and they are the team that has to overcome not being able to beat the other guys this year. From that mental stand point, the Steelers are sitting pretty.
It's a divisional matchup Neeps. We could have been sitting @ 13-2 with the #1 seed on the line and you guys at 2-13 with nothing to lose (or visa versa) and there would be no doubt about both teams bringing it. The Steelers are just as tired of hearing about the Ravens, trust me.

i'm looking at the replay of the first game on NFL network right now and they just showed the santonio holmes TD. we need to eliminate the penalties and make sure tackles. we can't turn the ball over. their defense is just as opportunistic as ours. we can do this, we just need to stay focused and play the game of football like we know we can.

Hey, like I said I dont neccessarily agree with it. I believe that the sheer hate and trash talk between the two teams alone is enough to drive either one of them but I do understand how such a logic can arise.
Anyone predicting that either team will score 35 points this weekend obviously has not watched many Steelers/Ravens games. I wouldn't even feel comfortable saying 35 points for the over/under lol.
StillerFan. I must say that you have been pretty nice..as far as Steeler fans go. But you are in the minority, friend.

You just need to stay away from the ESPN forums, all the morons hung out there ;). Come to the Steelers Fever Fan Forums, they are much more friendly there. We call out our own stupid fans there as well, like you all do here.

Oh and BTW to the person that said that no Tennessee or Miami fans came here after you stomped them, that's pretty pathetic. If you guys come into the Burgh and beat us straight up, not only will I be back here to congratulate you guys, but I will be cheering for you in the Super Bowl. I always cheer for divisional foes once my Steelers are out of it. GO AFC North!!!!

Thats not exactly true. A couple of the Phin and Titan fans came back, not all of them but a few. Its the Cowboy fans that were here by the dozens that didnt come back after they got spanked.
Who says I dont post on steelers boards?
Anyway I have lurked here for quite some time, but I had to come out from under my rock when I read that 'luck' post (it was kinda the straw that broke the camels back). Funny how every homer on this board wants to believe the number 2 defense in the NFL is capable of anything, but the number 1 defense in this league gets 'lucky' multiple times a year.

Seriously, give credit where credit is due.
Talk is cheap!

It is going to be a WAR!

Let the players have their day.
Betting on this is a fools game.

Don't beleive th 5 point Vegas line.
The defenses have played against different teams. Unless you want to count the Titans. Look at Pitt versus Ravens!

So let the WAR begins

I am predicting Ravens 26 Steelers 24

Dear Steeler Fans.

While we enjoy having visitors, we did not leave the door open hoping to have people drop by intent on changing our way of thinking. We are quite happy being Ravens fans. We continue to believe that each Sunday marks a new beginning on the path to the Superbowl. You may laugh at that notion, but if you do it here, it probably won't be taken too kindly.

Please don't make the mistake of thinking this is a friendly environment. We bleed purple. Nothing about this site should suggest to you that we are interested in being all things to all football fans. We have a ton of knowledgeable fans here who know quite a bit about Baltimore football in particular and the NFL in general. We do allow a certain amount of purple pride. While we don't allow smack and trash talking friendly debate is allowed-Name calling, avoiding the profanity filter or cursing is not.
The Steelers wins were lucky? Really? So what our defense did to your offense (twice) statistically was luck? A 92 yd drive with the game on the line, luck? Your over confidence will be your undoing!

This game will be close and either team has a legitamate chance to win. All things considered I love having the intangeble of home field advantage.

Good luck (oh the irony)! :)
i love when hicks use the word irony all the time

I guess calling someone a "Hick" isn't covered under the rules.

I agree that there are some great and knowledgeable fans on this forum, but others simply have little to offer in the way of an NFL or a Ravens discussion.

What I don't understand is what you don't understand about being on a Ravens message board? You're here, and the mods are going to give Ravens fans the benefit before Steelers fans. I would expect no different on a Steelers board. So what's the big deal? You're at a disadvantage, and that's the way it is. No one invited you here, and you're welcome (MORE then welcome) to leave whenever the *bleep* you want.

 Nope. I'm here. I abide by the rules. I'm stayin'. The IRONIC thing is, you too are welcome to leave. I would think the Mods will gave contributors the benefit of the doubt. I don't want knucklehead Steelers fans stirring up crap any more than you do. Nor am I going to bow down to a Ravens fan who doesn't think the rules apply to him. Do you understand that?

Ha, touche sir. I am indeed welcome to leave. And I might think about considering it, except for the fact that this message board is about the team I love and follow. Can you say the same? What? No? Well then, I think that the door used for exits around here would probably be just a bit wider for you. I think we've reached an understanding. Oh, I almost forgot.

This is truely a unique board. I've never seen so many people that take comments to heart. This is cyberspace. No one knows who you are. It's football, not softball that we are talking about here. Maybe the Mods should create an area were anything goes. A few sites have a "Locker Room" area.

No Sarge we have a Code of Conduct and expect everyone to pretty much adhere to it, division games like this can get out of hand really quickly ;) Keep it civil early and it usually carries on. Our regulars know this and enjoy posting in this environment.

I swear. I was watching Star Wars last night and heard that same exact thing. Maybe this guy is the Emperor, and the Steelers bandwagon exapnds across a galaxy, far, far away.

WIN by 100? The Ravens could play Pittsburgh all 16 weeks of the season and their score wouldn't even add up to 100!

Actually, in the 18 times two teams have met for the third time, with one team having won twice in the regular season, since the Super Bowl era, the team that won twice won the playoff game 11 times. 11 out of 18. That stuff about it being hard to win three is just what the teams that lose two tell themselves to keep their hopes up.
I guess Ravens fans need the same nonsense this week.

How many times have those been Ravens-Steelers games? Oh yeah, none. There aren't any two teams in the NFL, historically or otherwise, that play like the Ravens and Steelers. Of those 18 times it has happened, how many times did it feature the #1 (Steelers) vs. #2 (Ravens) defense against each other? And, how many of those times did it feature the #22 QB (Flacco) vs. the #24 QB (Rothlisberger)? If you're going to quote stats perhaps you should find ones that are relevant.

You want a relevant stat? How many times has #22 Flacco beaten #24 Rothlisberger? And yet you ravens fans will quote all kinds of stats of Flacco agaisnt other teams that lead you to believe you win this next game against us?

This is gonna be a knock-down drag out grudge match for sure! I like Pittsburgs chances because we HAVE had success this year against your team! And I like the intangeble of home field (dont tell me you wouldnt rather be playing this game in Baltimore)!
