We eked out a win in a playoff atmosphere in Tennesse. The Steelers couldn't beat them without KVB and Haynesworth. The Steelers might be letting the Chargers game get to their heads. The Chargers did finish the season 9-9.

So yes - we can beat the Steelers.

We can and will beat the Steelers no team in the NFL matches up as well against them as we do. They know it too. They also know the were lucky to escape the earlier meetings with a W. Its our turn now.

Sorry but the main difference that can't be denied in those two games would be......Chris Johnson. Didn't he score there only TD against you guys before you injured him.

The Steelers wins were lucky? Really? So what our defense did to your offense (twice) statistically was luck? A 92 yd drive with the game on the line, luck? Your over confidence will be your undoing!

This game will be close and either team has a legitamate chance to win. All things considered I love having the intangeble of home field advantage.

Good luck (oh the irony)! :)

And I love the intangible of the Ravens playing with "heart". We want this one and I believe we will win. I agree it will be a close game. Fans may be over confident, but the players are focused on this win. That's what counts.

We were ranked 1st in pass defense, allowing 156 yards per game, what is weak about that? You guys have a great team and in reality, it is almost as if we are siblings with the similar philosophy. I love our rivalry and I think this is the best championship game the NFL has or will see for a while. The NFC stands no chance against either of us in the big game.

I just had my house broken into earlier today and lost a ton of stuff. They made off with a spare set of my car keys, so if this plays out like it could, here comes a karma victory!

(Gotta think positive)

Who says I dont post on steelers boards?
Anyway I have lurked here for quite some time, but I had to come out from under my rock when I read that 'luck' post (it was kinda the straw that broke the camels back). Funny how every homer on this board wants to believe the number 2 defense in the NFL is capable of anything, but the number 1 defense in this league gets 'lucky' multiple times a year.

Seriously, give credit where credit is due.

It's not just your defense that gets lucky, it's the whole friggin' team? Who else but the Steelers would shank a punt, have it hit an opposing blocker's helmet and end up right back in their hands? Luck, sir, luck. Your team has had a horseshoe up their arses' all season and you know it. Please, go back under your rock and stay there. Your four posts tell me you've been lurking for all of one day, after your team beat the Chargers.

there was one team i didn't want us to face at all going on this run and that was the colts. why? because of peyton manning's ability to run the no-huddle offense, which rex ryan hasn't been able to adequately account for as yet. the only other qb i have seen run that successfully against us has been big ben. the difference has been our ability to stop willie parker. if willie can't run the ball you guys don't fare too well. the week the giants was able to run the ball against us we came right back and dominated the running game. if we dominate the running game and force ben into obvious throwing situations we can make plays on the ball with our ball hawks. we need to get to ben and make that o-line suffer. we know we can put pressure on him, but we also need to account for holmes and ward at all times. when our corners lost sight of them, they made us pay for it. we can't let them get open because they can eat up huge chunks of yards. on offense we need to protect the ball. take the short passes and have mcclain pound it up the middle. we can utilize rice out in the flat if he's healthy. be patient and take shots down the field after luring them in. we can beat them but we have to show up on defense. we can't let the no-huddle take us apart again. we can't leave anything on the field.

I love the "we want it more" argument. This basically says that when our Steelers beat you both times this year, you guys just didn't want it bad enough. When the division title was on the line, you didn't want it, but now with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, now the Ravens want it, and our Steelers must have accomplished enough this season, they are not going to want it I guess. Hmmm I think this game is going to come down to more than just wanting it.

You've got to give respect to earn it my friend. The Ravens go 11-5, a team that was predicted to win 4 games this year, take the Steelers to OT on their home field and come 2 inches from losing to them twice in one season and Steeler fans are walking around talking like this game will be a walk in the park for them. Like 35 points not 7 points total seperate these two teams. I'd be a little more willing to show the Steelers respect if their fans were not so arrogant.

Really - Do you read your own teams forums??? Most Steelers fans here (mysellf included) all agree this is going to be a tough game and have said that either team can win this weekend.

You think we're cocky and arrogant, you should try the Eagles or Pasties forums, I think most here will agree they are far worse.

Anyone predicting that either team will score 35 points this weekend obviously has not watched many Steelers/Ravens games. I wouldn't even feel comfortable saying 35 points for the over/under lol.

Look at the season overall. Ravens come off a losing season and start a rookie QB and rookie coach. No one expected us to be where we are in the playoffs. The Ravens have a special bond as a team this year, thanks to coach harbs. We are playing with alot of heart and grit, playing one game at a time. You're right that this game will come down to more than just wanting it. We need this to complete our totally unbelievable season this year. We will prevail this sunday. Make sure you come back to our board after you lose this sunday. So far, none of the playoff teams fans have returned to this board after they lost to us. GO RAVENS

I dont think thats what it says at all. I dont neccessarily believe that the Ravens want it more but I do understand the logic of it. Simple fact is going into this game the Ravens are the team that have more to prove, they are the team with the bigger chip on their shoulder because they are the team that lost the series and the division. They are they are the underdog and they are the team that has to overcome not being able to beat the other guys this year. From that mental stand point, the Steelers are sitting pretty.
