Yeah Tunsil did well that game to contain Garrett with very little help. More tells you how good Tunsil is as opposed to Garrett being bad. Garrett still had that nice pick though and beat Tunsil on a play he got held on.

If we want to compare how guys did against Tunsil, Carl Lawson probably had the most success but I'd still probably roll with garrett over him as Lawson needs to prove he can stay healthy. Man would it be fun to have either though, I still think we are missing that guy to be the future Suggs.

I agree. I still don't see our future Suggs. I don't think they're on the team atm. I'll be more than happy if Garrett falls in the first round to wherever we pick, though. I stand by my opinion that he's the best pass rusher in the draft next year until I see otherwise.

Probably a 5. I'm not really one to get attached anymore to prospects. You'll always have some go to a team you don't like.

You never know--maybe we trade up for once lol. You and I also hoped we wouldn't pick high enough for Kendall Fuller but he fell hard. A guy seen as top 10 now could fall anywhere. Only some prospects rarely fall.

I'd be curious if someone took the time to go into the top 10 guys at this point last year and see where they all got drafted. I think the results would surprise a lot of people

Off the top of my head, Zeke, Stanley, Bosa, and Goff were the only ones expected to go top 10 this time of year that did go top 10.

Yeah, I mean, I won't pretend to know too much about the careers of Taylor or Peppers, but if they showed career long consistency, like VH3 or even Garrett this year, they aren't going to fall.

So with all the edge rushers we got this year... Let's say KC and correa total for 10 sacks and one of judon or ochi gets another 3 or 4 and all of our guys show promise along with zds having another 6 sack season... 

 

Is edge rusher still a need? 

 

If things go as planned I'm struggling to think of a real need. Moore has a real shot at becoming a 2 in our system and I think most of us expect perriman to be As advertised, so is wr a need? We also have aiken who will probably be a good 3. TE isn't a need, we have possible backup plans for wagner, good guard depth and starter quality guys as well. So that leaves Center as something that could be a need. I think dixon is our future starter and I thought he would be a stud long before we drafted him so I think rb is good.

On defense we still need a future safety and our starting cb group looks solid, we may need a future answer anywhere in the secondary. I think anybody in the secondary or an ILB is our biggest need next year. Also, if Brandon Williams plays himself out of price range, do we have a guy we think could play NT? Or do we need to consider a NT? 

 

So out of safety, ILB, center, cb, and NT, assuming our current guys are good enough, who are options at these positions? Aside from obvious answers like tabor and king and peppers who are likely out of reach if we have a good season.
