I'm in love with both Quincy Wilson and Teez Tabor, I'd be comfortable with either. We've kinda got an abyss going on.

Barring some unforeseen incident, Rueben Foster isn't going to be available anywhere near 16. There's no other ILB I'd want us to take in the first two rounds either. Taking an ILB early means we downgraded at ILB while improving literally nothing else with that pick. We've already seen the defense struggle when Mosley and Orr were in. Please please please Ozzie prioritize OLB and CB first.

Im not actually sure that Orr retiring affects the draft strategy that much. Realistically, he was going to be a UFA next year and since Mosley is likely gonna get his 5th year option activated next offseason, it would have been contract chicken between the two and Mosley probably would have won.

Im really just grateful that Orr is getting out before something terrible happened to him on the field.

Why garett bolles?

OLB, CB, ILB, WR and OL are all big needs, and those are just the positions that need starters. I think for the second year in a row Ozzie has to kill this draft, or we're back to mediocre or worse

They do rarely go high and one of those rarities is Foster. He's a top 10 guy in any class.

nobodies arguing here lol. foster looks like a generational talent, it just wouldnt surprise me is all.

Wagner took time to develop and he was a home run pick for a fifth rounder. I don't want to be to trot out a guy like Roderick Johnson out as our starter next season. That would be asking to end Joe's career.

only took him a year. my worry is now that juan castillo is gone can we just churn out solid depth guys the way we have been? nobody expected wagner to explode onto the scene in 2014 as a top 5 RT because frankly he has overachieved quite a bit based on his college performance, id attribute that to castillos development.

i certainly hope we can get the same development from this next coach. Julie'n Davenport is a name i think we should all begin to look at as a possible 3rd rounder. he isnt a beastly mauler but he looks like a hell of a pass protector with definite room to grow.

Honestly i made it my prof pic a while ago when I thought he was under the radar and would be the best guard prospect in this class and could have been had in Round 2 (naive... I know. I deserve any criticism directed at me). But now hes a Round 1 Tackle prospect and likely out of the Ravens range, so I'm in the market for a new prof pic.

Don't get me wrong, I'd personally take him at 16 if he was there and Wagner left, but realistically I'm expecting a Humphrey, Wilson or McKinley to be the pick at 16.

So with Orr retired, doesn't Peppers make a ton of sense?

when i mocked him to us i foresaw this.

sike, but really, i like peppers, and i only mocked him to us because he strikes me as a player ozzie would take, but i cant say i'd be happy with it at this point, even after losing orr. i mean, id certainly be excited to have such a flashy prospect who can fill multiple roles, but after noticing guys like marshon lattimore, quincy wilson, tj watt, charles harris, and seeing a guy like derek barnett creeping lower in many mock drafts, i gotta say the idea upsets me. im thinking we can really make a big splash with this pick, and while i think peppers is a hell of a player and id like him here, id much rather see one of those guys mentioned above for a ton of reasons.

Yeah that's totally it. It looks so much like an Ozzie pick saying «hey idiots you let this guy fall, you're gonna feel it for sure» but at the same time there will be really nice options. I think Lattimore will be gone, I've cooled down on Wilson but my favorite right now is Watt, his ceiling is through the roof and he's got plenty of floor to warrant playing time as a rookie.

Not sure where to put this but anybody paying attention to the East-West Shrine game. Didn't recognize the names really but 2 service academy guys are playing who I heard were good in King (LB) and Steelhammer (S). Also noticed the 6-10 Dan Skipper is playing at OT. I'd actually like to see him be switched over to 3-4 DE with that size. Yikes.

There's lots of interesting prospects playing in that game, some of the QBs are interesting, love Marcus Cox at RB, Maguire and Joe Williams are also interesting RBs. Some of the WRs have potential, Gabe Marks, Jalen Robinette (Air Force guy thats huge and athletic) are the ones that catch my eye. Tobijah Hughley has the potential to be a sleeper at center, like what I've seen from him. Bryan Cox from Florida is a good DE, sort of your Jarret Johnson/Lawrence Guy, quiet workhorse. Trey Hendrickson is an interesting prospect for DE/EDGE, gaining some steam recently. Fabian Moreau CB from UCLA has reportedly been super impressive in practices leading up to the game as well. Jalen Myrick as well I think is particularly underrated, if the CB position weren't so stacked then he might be going much higher than he will.

Unfortunately some of the guys I was really looking forward to seeing got injured and won't play, Ejuan Price and Jeremy Cutrer being the one's I'm really disappointed by.

Lots of other guys that I diidn't name will also need to be watched for definitely. Just like the Senior Bowl it appears that there is a lot of talent participating, somewhat more than usual. Should be a pretty good game.

I'd expect lattimote to be gone but with so many high cb prospects you never know who flies up and who gets lost in the crowd. And I haven't cooled on Wilson I have him 3rd behind lattimore and jones.

But tj watt is also a guy that's really starting to grow on me. I love his energy and well rounded skill set and his refined skill and heads up play.

I'm a big Bryan cox fan myself. I don't know how he's rated so low. He can play as a massive OLB and pass rush from 5T or 3T. He's very versatile, big and strong, bends well on the edge, plays light on his feet, good nose in traffic, good motor. I have him as a late 3rd early 4th rounder

Game has only just begun, only three drives, but Nate Hairston, CB, Temple has played pretty well both at CB and just made a great ST play, and the West team is really attacking him. Moreau made a good play on East's only drive.

Called Hughley a possible gem at center...has been pushed around so far by his teammate on the other side of the ball DeAngelo Brown

How much weight do you think he would need to gain to play ILB though? Last I seen he weighed roughly 210. You'd think he round need to be at least 225 to hang around the trenches

I pray we move up in the second to get him. I don't think he will make it to 48. His motor and style of play make you think he is a raven for sure. Even though his frame is long and he could stand to add a bit more weight, he still seems to play real strong.

just wrote that one in my notes, if he's as athletically gifted as they're indicating then I can see him being that riser a la Jackson from last year.

The first half is over, Trey Hendrickson and Fabian Moreau are the guys that are really, really helping their draft stock. DJ and Mayock are loving Moreau and if Hendrickson would show some pass rush moves then he'd be having just as good of a day, he's showing everything you want except his move arsenal seems shallow so far.

Tony Bridges and Bryan Cox are two guys that are playing pretty darn well so far, both keep making solid plays all around. Cox is showing his strength and motor, definitely helping himself but he still sits at a mid rounder to me, 4th or 5th round is where I'd have him right now.

Elijah Maguire when given the chance has played very well, great patience and has a nice burst. Joe Williams has also shown a lot of burst and speed early, but both teams have pretty much abandoned the run, giving me PTSD flashbacks. Sam Tevi is a guard that is clearly a mauler, I think he'd fit with what we're looking for in new olinemen. Gavin Andrews is in the same boat as Tevi. Deatrich Wise has been okay, isn't showing anything that I didn't already know, great strength, got a coverage sack at one point, can be a good 3-4 DE but needs to add mass.

Whitfield from FSU has been busy but overall unimpressive.

Jadar Johnson safety from Clemson is at the shrine game. Really surprised he's not talked about much as a player we can target, 3rd rounder, could creep into the 2nd round. I really like his range and ball skills. Had 5 picks and 7 passes defended as a starter this season.

Yeah I went back to his tape after posting this message and he looks so small... 225 would be nice but he would probably lose a lot of speed so... I don't know about him.

I'm not watching the NFLPA game but Lorenzo Jerome has 2 picks in that game, both off Greg Ward.

Samford of all places has produced some really solid players, Jaquiski Tartt, James Bradberry, and our very own Michael Pierce, this WR that they have in the East/West game looks like another guy that can turn some heads. His hands are other wordly and he's a speedy guy, would like to see more tape on him to see if he can get reliable separation but he's someone to look for.

How come Tim Williams isn't at the senior bowl. He is a senior and Ryan Anderson went why didn't he?

Another bad indicator. Maybe he didn't feel like it. I'm starting to really not like williams' character after the drug tests came to light and now he has a chance to dispel some rumors and show a week of hard work and he opts out of it.

hes bound to tumble quite a bit

At this point I bet he's hardly on our board at all anymore - he's on there but he's probably been dropped so much that he might as well not be on it, he'll be gone by the time we'll be comfortable taking him.

Yeah Moreau was impressive and we should double dip at CB and maybe a safety also. Surprized to hear he may go in 1st when this game is usually for late day 2 to day 3 guys. Bridges if he's that corner from Miss yes he was good especially at diagnosing plays. Cox if he's anything like his pop could be a nice LB but hopefully he doesn't have the same personality. Had trouble keeping up with the olinemen since they rotated them out on a consistent basis

Aside from a bad snap, Lucas Crowley was the only center that I thought played well, looked good as both a run blocker and pass blocker which surprised me because I'm pretty sure I watched him forever ago and didn't like him.

As I said after the first half, Gavin Andrews and Sam Tevi are two interesting guards that I think fit what we're probably looking for now with the new direction we're going to be taking our line. Both, to me, are mid rounders that lack consistency though. I meant to look out for Cameron Tom at center but I can't remember anything from him that stood out. Other than those guys I don't recall anyone really catching my attention, the game was all about the Dlines dominating.
