Just a few 1st round names: Carl Lawson, Charles Harris, Dawuane Smoot, Demarcus Walker, Tim Williams.

I'm gonna go off on a limb and say Charles Harris is the one in the Ravens range if they're in the 20's.

One player I was very surprised to not see in Matt Miller's most recent mock draft was Carl Lawson. Apparently some area scouts don't view him as a first rounder.

Yeah I know, I just saw that he beat Cam Robinson to force a fumble against  Alabama. Maybe a bad NFL Combine will make him slide, then we could trade up.

I would totally be cool with trading up for an elite pass rusher, but it looks like Carl Lawson could be falling out of favor, so he may be more the Ravens target. Get someone like Tabor in round one and then Lawson in two.

i dont like him. he gets lost and is a horrid tackler. at least from what ive seen. ive seen 2 games from him and he showed the kind of stuff that makes you think hes just a great college rusher. great off the line, engages the tackle decent, bends decent, but ive seen him totally whiff on plays he absolutely should have made too often.

this was last years tape too though, ill give him plenty of looks eventually, i just havent gotten into full blown draft mode yet.

i still like lawson. his injuries obviously are a real concern, but hes one of the more natural pass rushers out there, and he looks the part of an ideal 3-4 rusher. hes the whole package when hes on the field, he could stand to add a bit of size but hes not what i would call small or weak.

Yeah, I could see something like that happening. I haven't seen many people talk about Lawson this season.

I haven't had a chance to watch him yet, I've only read a few things about him and wanted to see what other peoples opinions were.

He reminded me of Shilique Calhoun in that he moves nicely but once the T is on him it's over. His handwork is horrible and he can't convert speed into power.

Just throwing this out there, but I'd love Bucky Hodges for this team. He's like a way better version of Darren Waller. Think Martellus Bennett with his size and just the pure red zone threat. 

Joe could use a guy like him.

Given the need at DE I'll add Taco Charlton to the conversation.
He's quite growing on me. Very fast, light footed with a good rip. I haven't seen much of him nor of any other prospect so far but the guy reminds me a lot of Shane Ray, just a taller version.

One guy I want right now is Caleb Brantley from Florida. He's so good, him and Timmy/Pierce would be too much for opposing OL and we would have the best interior pass rush in the league.

Really? I love him. Hes so consistent no matter who he faces. I see what your saying from last year but hes come back this year looking leaner and has much more flexibility to his body. Hes learning to use his hands too. Ive been very impressed by him this year and though he was the only playet to show up against alabama. Just blew by cam on one play. Has tons of translatable talent. I think hed be a great fit. Decosta did also say if you get sacks in college, youl get them in the nfl. Hes on pace to get 10 sacks for a 3rd straight year. In the SEC too. Production is a big factor in finding a pass rusher in my eyes. For that reason im not totally sold on carl lawson just yet. Not enough production and needs more mass in his lower half. Cant set the edge consistently. Not like barnett can

I think he uses his hands very well, he has a great arm under move when positioned inside the tackle. I dont see him comparing well to calhoun. I think he was much more stiff and not nearly as athletic. Barnett is 260+ and still has phenomenal bend and athleticism to get aroumd the edge plus better speed than youd think for a guy at his weight. His motor is through the roof and he still can add more strength to him. Hes been far more productive than calhoun going against SEC tackles. This kid is the real deal

Malik Hooker could be a great pick. He has the range to be a center fielder for us, and he really goes after the ball when it's in the air.

Zach cunningham ilb from vandy is a guy ive had a look at since last year. I beleive he led the SEC in tackles if i remember correctly. Hes a long linebacker, a little thin 6-4 230, but is a tackling machine! Had 19 including a fourth and one stop to win the game vs goergia. Has long arms and can run with tight ends. Sheds block well for his weight thanks to his long arms. Avoids traffic to the ball carrier well but at times can take bad angles causing him to tackle the ball carrier from behind, can get in trouble with horse collar tackles because of that. Otherwise very smart kid. Has great intangibles and play recognition. Intellegent kid too, majoring in economics.

Demarcus walker is an interesting prospect. 6-3 280 senior DE from fsu. Has a great motor. Leader of that defense. Pass rush specialist. Had 4.5 sacks vs ole miss and they all came in the second half! Most in the fourth quarter! Also blocked an extra point to win the game vs miami to win the game (funny thing is that the coach said they were gonna rush from the left side and he said no, rush on the right) like to see more moves from him but he seems to have mastered the swim move, hence the 4.5 sacks.

True.

Another guy that seems interesting if he's there for the Ravens to pick is Dawuane Smoot from Illinois. Very athletic edge rusher that's good at mixing up the moves he uses.
