I'd find it hard to believe that the gun charge would drop Tim Williams too much. He's regarded as a top 20 prospect so far from everything I've seen and it was a misdemeanor for carrying without a permit. Unless I'm mistaken, he wasn't flailing it around and pointing it at people.

Now, Matt Miller did his newest scouting notebook and he had Carl Lawson going to the Ravens at 30. I'd be ecstatic.

He also had my boy Isaiah Ford going to the Eagles at 29. I'm hyped up to see Ford finally getting first round recognition.

I prefer warning you, until I watch him again I'm not really high on Ford. That said, he was mocked as our 2nd rounder on NFL Mocks. Our first was Dawuane Smoot (oh yeah).

ill have to watch more of adoree jackson, i thought i saw a monster on draftbreakdown but maybe some all-22 tells a more broad story. if anyone has some film they could link id really appreciate it. im still big on tre'davious white as a cover corner so if anyone feels a need to talk me down from that one then feel free lol.

however... desmond king > any of them, the only player who i think has a chance at dethroning him is jabrill peppers and that would be on the excitement factor alone, i think king is the most natural well rounded db ive seen in a while, he looks like he could play in, out, nickel, zone, man, off, free or strong safety, at a starting level from day 1, and could have a marcus peters-like start to his career minus the absurd number of TDs given because even though hes incredible at turning it over he doesnt do it at the expense of the team and keeps the play in front of him,

and if tim williams falls to our 2nd round pick i think ozzie scraps the good guy routine. i doubt he falls that far though, i dont see him falling out of the top 10 of the 2nd round.

im starting to think though that we are gonna HAMMER the OL with fresh new talent. i think the defense is gonna be trusted this offseason and were gonna fix the OL and get back to running the ball with a couple of road graders.

White has the Best backpedal I've ever seen. He's as good as it gets at covering. The one thing disturbing me is he loses on jump balls... Maybe I'm overrating this factor but jury is still out on him as far as I'm concerned.

Yes and no. I feel like one elite C turns our whole OL (and offense) around. Elflein and Orlosky are truly good man. If we get one of those two it would change a lot of things for us.

And of course we'll get ourselves another RB. My money's on Kareem Hunt or Shock Linwood for now.

I've seen most, if not all, of Ford's games. He's just got those extremely desirable traits that you want in a receiver that aren't easily taught (hands in traffic, body control, jump balls, speed, size) while he can grow in some other areas (mostly expanding the route tree).

What do you guys think of Donnel Pumphrey? Obviously his measurements are a concern, but I like his vision and the stop n'go quickness. I don't know if he's a potential 3rd down receiving RB as he's a body catcher.

Too early to study?

We have enough running backs.

It would not help much unless we sign a proper vet CB as well.

I say we should take a RB this year. Forsett is on his way out and I think Allen is too. Dixon and West are good pieces to build around but with names like Fournette, Cook, McCaffery, Chubb, Hurd, Freeman, Pomphrey, Mack as well as others in the draft, we would be dumb not to take one of them at a bargain bin price due to the glut of great RBs.

At WR, watch out for SMU's Courtland Sutton. He may be a redshirt sophomore at a Group of Five school, but he can fly and he has nice size. His tracking ability is excellent as well. I would not be surprised to see him Mentioned with Clemson's Williams and VT's Ford as a top three WR in a weak class. He has mid first round potential but I think he'll go late first/early second.

You know the drill. Never too early.

I will disrespect any GM that doesn't take a RB in this class.

You forgot Juju. And I would also put Corey Davis above him, and I think Jehu Chesson offers similar value.

Matt Miller said a lot of scouts are souring on Juju because he lacks long speed to separate in the NFL and recent USC receivers haven't worked out.

I can agree with that, but he's still faster than Laquon, and still offer a similar package, so he's at least worthy of a 1St round. Which is better than Sutton, who's a late second imo.

I don't typically watch other prospects until after the season (with the exception of a select few schools), but Juju is one of the hardest dropping prospects from what I'm seeing. He's taking a Treadwell fall.

Mostly because he's had sub par QB play compared to Kessler. I'm not complaining though, he's among my early favourites for our 1st pick, so hearing he could make it to our second...

JuJu has not impressed me this year. His tape against Bama was pretty bad. Davis and Chesson rate as mid second rounders in my book, but I like them both.

See my comment below on Juju. He's still a late first rounder in my eyes, no doubt.

strong possibility that by the end of the year dixon makes you say "ehh... nevermind, lets get a CB or C"

so funny too i was arguing with a USC fan about juju compared to ridley before game 1, he swore juju was hands down the best in the nation and ridley was some overrated scrub.. like bruh, ye lost yer marbles

Juju is better than what he's showing this season - poor QB can do that.

I like Chesson and Ardarius Stewart, if he declares.

Dixon already has an injury history, you want at least a safety valve. We get Kareem Hunt or Shock Linwood (or Corey Clement, but he's injury prone too) on Day 3 and we good. Low price, great players.

Calvin Ridley is going to be a special talent in this league in a year.

Still on that Ford hype train. We'll see how he does against UNC today.

oh i know juju is good, but hes no ridley. ridley is of the caliber as the 2 bama wr's before him imo, different style but could have that same kinda impact. he reminds me of a much morre explosive amari cooper, like if cooper and ODB merged into one player.

its not really a worrying injury history though, at least not yet. he had an ankle his final year, a hamstring through the draft process, and a freak injury to his knee in the preseason. all separate and unrelated incidents, injuries happen in football and nothing has been major, if he isnt rushed back and is fully recovered from the knee(he was fully recovered from both the ankle and hamstring in PS) then there isnt much to worry about.

its stuff like lower back injuries, constantly nagging soft tissue injuries, or severe structural damage that are a real cause for concern, stuff that cant be fully recovered from or stuff that very easily pops back up without warning. i personally get concerned about a young players future when i see something like 2-3 hamstrings in one year, thats the most alarming for the long term imo because it shows a true tendency to get injured often, thats the body failing to hold up rather than a result of football.

so hes had one really worrying injury with the hamstring through the draft process, but it hasnt popped back up yet and until any of his injuries show to be nagging i have no reason to worry.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one, but still, he's a physical runner and it's gonna leave him injured at times, so we better have a safety valve.

Don't watch a lot of college football but I wanna start studying up some pass rushers. (Doom and Suggs replacement) who's on our radar

Just a few 1st round names: Carl Lawson, Charles Harris, Dawuane Smoot, Demarcus Walker, Tim Williams.

Of the few players I've seen extensive play of, I think Tre'Davious White and Charles Harris are my favorite realistic options right now.

White had great combo of size, athleticism and technique. Harris has struggled a bit compared to last year, but mizzou also lost maybe the best D-line coach in college football, and the whole front has struggled with the new scheme and concepts. Watch his film from last year too. He could be a steal if he falls.

Is there a good Offensive Coordinator in this draft?  I'd consider trading up for one.
