Consensus seems to be Deforest Buckner and I'm fine with that pick! I would be okay with VH3 or Eziekiel Elliott as well if the Browns being the Browns don't pick a franchise QB like Wentz or Goff.

We need an inside LB. Myles Jack is the best player on the board if his knee checks out.

Written on more than one occasion it should be Bosa or Buckner. Can't go wrong with either and they would be fulfilling the wishes of the owner. There's talk of the Chargers jumping on the Buckner bandwagon but if they pass he should be there for the Ravens.

Tunsil might be in play as well which would be interesting. Titans like Ramsey and the Chargers like Jack.

He wouldn't get past 3. Chargers would take him.

Most mock drafts have Buckner going to the Chargers and Bosa going to the Cowboys. Let's hope that's not the case or the Ravens trade up to get the game changing pass rusher.

Preference...RND 1, Ramsey, Bosa,Jack.
If they are gone.... Buckner, Lawson,Spence,VH3...
I can see a trade back too. Collect more picks.. while still getting a Lawson,Spence,VH3.. If Bosa,Jack,Ramsey are gone

I can't see the Raven's trading up. As you think both pass rushers are gone, My thinking is Tunsil, Ramsey and one of the QB's will also be gone, which would leave us in position to snag Jack, Not a bad pick. Course, we don't know who the FO has on their board, nor can anyone know what Cleveland or jerry Jones are thinking. Either of them could pick someone totally unexpected.

I guess Jack would be a good fall back player but his knee has more than a few scouts concerned. With the drafting of Perriman last year the Ravens can ill afford to have another 1st rounder sit out for an extended period of time because of a bum knee.

My original post was in regard to Tunsil dropping past #3. Regardless of how much the Chargers like a certain defensive player, they would 100% draft Tunsil at 3 if he were there.

And frankly, if he got past 3, I would bet we would do whatever it takes to move up and get him. Dallas probably wouldn't take him, but wouldn't surprise me if Jacksonville did.

If Tunsil gets past 3, I'd expect to see us try really, really, really hard to move up to #4 and take him.

Not a likely scenario, since I seriously doubt he gets past #3 and I still think he's the odds on favorite to go #1.

I don't believe that after a 5-11 season and considering where we have not fared as well later in the draft in recent years, I don't think that trading back for more later round picks makes any sense. We have cut draft picks as high as the fourth round in the same year they are drafted ("Snacks" Myers). The 2012 draft picks, just 3 years ago are all gone. With Bosa, Ramsey, Tunsil, Buckner, Jack and Hargreaves as the top 6, any of those players is better than a couple later round draft picks that don't pan out. The saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" is very applicable here. We can take one good pick we know will start or trade back for a couple maybe's. If we missed on Elam at 32, who are we going to get in the second round of this draft that is a guaranteed player. I would love to see the stats on how many players in each draft round selected actually stick in the NFL.

Honestly, the only guy I would be upset with would be Stanley. I just don't believe he is a Top 10 player. He is merely rated high because his position is in such high demand.

Bosa or Buckner would fit the best player available formula... Bosa more of a position of need as well. A tougher question is if all of the top defensive players are gone by the time we get on the board? Can't see a LT just to create more dead money by dumping Monroe.

No one is a guaranteed player and actually we have done pretty good in the later rounds (2,3,4).
Maxx Williams, Carl Davis, Z. Smith, Buck Allen, Tray Walker, Nick Boyle, Darren waller in 2015.
Timmy Jernigan, Terrence Brooks, Crockett Gilmore, Breent urban, Lorenzo Taliaferro, John urschel and Campanaro in 2014.
Brandan Williams, Juice Juszczyk, Rick wagner, Kapron lewis-Moore, Ryan Jensen in 2013.
Not such bad picks, some are really good.

I just can't see Tunsil making it past #3. and as you say i'm thinking him #1 overall. Ditto that Ramsey should also be gone. I'm still betting a QB goes in the top five, which would leave us with Buckner, Bosa or jack still available at #6.

Correct. If a QB goes in the top 5, we will almost certainly have the ability to draft one of either Ramsey, Bosa, Buckner or Jack.

The only question is just how interested we are in any of those players. I think Ramsey would be a no-brainer, but he will likely be gone.

Bosa/Buckner/Jack are the three most likely candidates, and then sprinkling in the possibility of Hargreaves or Stanley. One of those five I think is a lock to be our pick at #6.

Still not convinced that we are all that interested in a couple of those players, however.

You don't create more dead money by cutting Monroe. The dead money is there whether he's on the team or not.

The guy has a total cap hit of $26.6M over the next three years. $6.6M of that is dead money and that can't be changed.

The only difference is whether you want to pay him $6.5M this year or not.

If we go LT , I think he will actually play LG for a year. Monroe has vowed to come back strong and healthy this year. When he plays, he plays decent, probably not ranked as one of the top 15 Left Tackles, but passable.
Looking at our current roster, we are definitely adding some help in this draft and maybe even find someone in the June 1st cuts.

Rumors circling, have us looking at Cleveland's Thomas and Denver's Clady. This could be just predraft smoke too!

Ravens need Offensive line , linebacker and secondary personnel. I really don't care which of these they address but I hope they play in some games THIS year and not end up on just doing special teams.

I agree with the sentiment...I don't care who they pick... as long as they play. No point in drafting guys for special teams, especially when there are obvious holes on the roster.
