Mock With "Interesting" Trades, and Better Picks

7 posts in this topic

Round: Player, Position, School, (Height, Weight)

1st: The Rams found their new home in LA. Now they need to find the face of their franchise. Ozzie sweeps on the opportunity, and steals their 1st, and both of their 2nd round picks. The Rams Draft Goff, and listen to all of their fans in Chicago cheer.

1st (Rams): Darron Lee, ILB, Ohio State, (6-1 232lbs)

2nd: After the Panthers embarrassing super bowl debacle, they come to the realization that they have a lot of holes they need to fill. So they try and stockpile draft picks, Yet again, Ozzie pulls off another brilliant move. He trades our 2nd and 4th (Acquired from the Broncos), for the Panthers 1st round pick (30th Overall).

1st (Panthers): William Jackson III, CB, Houston, (6-0 189lbs)

2nd (Rams): Emmanuel Ogbah, Edge, Oklahoma State, (6-3 273lbs)

2nd (Rams): Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State, (6-3 212lbs)

3rd: Chris Jones, DE, Mississippi State, (6-6 310lbs)

4th: Kenya Drake, RB, Alabama, (6-1 210lbs)

4th (Broncos): Willie Beavers, OT, Western Michigan, (6-5 320lbs)

4th (Comp): Hassan Ridgeway, DT, Texas, (6-3 303lbs)

6th: Austin Blythe, OC/OG, Iowa, (6-2 298lbs)

6th (Comp): Trae Elston, FS, Ole Miss, (5-11 195lbs)

No thank youdont like the value.  At 15 id rather have Spence than him.  If we had two first round picks and thats who we came out with, i would really question the FO's future

I'm not fully against the idea of Darron Lee, but there are guys I'd want way more than him. And I'm not so sure he'll fit well in the Ravens' defense.

I don't see a fit for darron Lee here. The Panthers don't have a lot of needs, they need OTs and a WR if funchess doesn't pan out. Ogbah is not gonna succeed in the nfl, he plays much slower than his workouts suggest and is extremely stiff with no real ability to engage tackles or bend the edge or even the agility to pick lanes effectively. I would be severely disappointed with this draft. Also Michael thomas could very well be the top wr on many boards and likely won't be there mid 2nd

Put Thomas in the Darrin Lee spot. Then put Deion Jones in where you have Thomas chiseled in. Scrap Ogbah for a better pick like a different defensive lineman or an offensive lineman like Ifedi. Maybe even replace Jackson with Conklin.  Jones is better than darron Lee in My opinion. Plays touhger. Just some tweaks and your draft has real potential. However do not see ravens getting extra  round2 picks for trading with rams. But not out of the realm of realistic. Ravens are at a good position in front of sf. And teams are competing for Goff who in my opinion is a more athletic stronger armed Matt Ryan. Goffs armstrength is better than advertised. He can generate heat with pinpoint accuracy. If Goff is available  at pick 6 a trade back is very likely unless Tunsil Bosa Ramsey or Jack is available. If Bosa is not considered a scheme fit ravens will trade back if Jack Ramsey or Tunsil is no longer available.
