Round 1:

Deforest Buckner, DL, Oregon

Although Jalen Ramsey is by far my favorite defensive prospect, it's a near certainty that he isn't available at 6, Myles Jack could also be in play, but I think Buckner is the pick here. The Ravens get a MASSIVE athlete to instantly plug and play alongside the young stars in Williams and Jernigan. He adds a much needed interior pass rush, and allows Carl Davis to move to a rotational role.

Round 2:

64990_h.jpg

Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky

Corner could be alternatively addressed here, but I see edge rusher as perhaps our most pressing need, and a beefed up pass rush is a proven solution for a questionable secondary. at 36, The Ravens get incredible value by grabbing in my opinion, the most gifted edge rusher in this year's class. I know the ecstasy issues are a concern for a lot of people, but I see Spence similar to Jimmy Smith coming out, a college kid that just needed to grow up a bit

Round 3:

Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State

I know this is going to be the most head scratching, scrutinized pick that i've made in this mock, and that's OK. The one thing the 2015 team lacked most, was playmakers on BOTH sides of the ball. Miller, although new to the position, is an INCREDIBLE athlete that is determined to excel at receiver. I think this kid is special, and grabbing him at the beginning of the 3rd round might even be unrealistic, but if he falls, I would jump on the opportunity to add another weapon to the offense.

Round 4(1):

Scooby Wright III, ILB Arizona

Wright could easily go in the 3rd round, but I think he falls to the early 4th. A tackling machine that had a monster sophomore campaign, Although a bit undersized, Wright adds an athletic, instinctive linebacker to compete for reps alongside CJ Mosley.

Round 4(2):

Harlan Miller, CB, Southeastern Louisiana

The Ravens are known for dipping into the pool of small school prospects, and I feel this is a typical Ozzie Newsome pick. Miller had a productive 4 year career, looked good at the Senior Bowl, and had a disappointing 40 time at the combine, which allows him to fall here. Will definitely need to add muscle in order to handle NFL receivers, but could provide depth and eventually develop into a solid player.

Round 4(3)

Isaac Seumalo, OG, Oregon State

Perhaps another mid-round gem on the offensive line, Seumalo is one of the more pro-ready interior lineman in the draft, and adds the versatility to play multiple positions if needed.

Round 6:

Yannick Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland

I can't stress enough that adding young pass rushers is the biggest priority, which allows the Ravens to double dip at edge rusher. I'm not quite sure where Ngakoue will end up going, but his lack of run stopping ability could cause the local product to fall. Would start out as a situational pass rusher, and could end up being another Pernell Mcphee-like steal.

Love the idea of Braxton Miller in the 3rd round (if he's there, big if) would be a terrific add for this team, imo. At that pick your more comfortable w/ a guy who won't be an immediate starter, as opposed to wanting more if you took him in the 2nd. This would be a great year to develop him as a Pro WR, which is what he needs .. Development. Additionally, you can get immediate return on him by using him as a KR, PR while he develops w/ guys like Smith Sr. around

I love how well miller picked up the route tree and how quickly. He's got superb work ethic and football smarts

But wasn't there a lot of talk about him having hands that just aren't suited for success in the NFL? I may be imagining stuff and I really like Miller but I could've swore I heard something about his hands

There are questions about Miller's hands, as there should be. He was a first year player at wide receiver. However, I feel like he is naturally gifted enough athletically to improve. Like you said, he picked up the route tree surprisingly fast, and has been cited numerous times for wanting to work hard enough to be a big play receiver.

I don't think it's his hands that were being questioned I think it was more the production but that is typical Ohio St. I dont believe there was much of a knock on his hands. I believe at the senior bowl he caught everything in all the practices.

Love the top 2 picks. I wouldn't mind Miller in the third. I think we can get him in the 4th tho.

If we got him in the 4th I would cry... I think he's too good of an athlete to fall that far tho... 3rd round is even a stretch, IMO.

Miller I believe has two drawbacks. While he came a long way as a wide receiver he still has a lot to learn about the position. He makes a ton of unnecessary moves without a clear plan. Which can be choked up to experience.

I also believe his his play style with lots of hard cuts is going to take its tole on the knee that took a ton of abuse as all of Osu's offense for two years.

that's why you have someone like SSS to help guide Miller. and our outstanding WR coach.

The first two picks would instantly help our defense, especially our secondary, I just don't think Spence will be there, I hope your right though.  The rest of the draft I can easily live with.  Solid mock my man.

Spence to me is worth trading back into the first round to grab.

Buckner just seems like the guy that will fall to us, whom I would love to have, but us not scheduling any meetings or workouts with him has me wondering if we are not interested? Despite ecstasy problems, I see Spence maturing and becoming a great pick up. I would be stoked

Probably my fav mock so far.

Even with LT being unaddressed it can't be the end of the world; Castillo proved to be a very good O-line coach, turning late round prospects into valuable players. Good play-call would also def help Joe to get rid of the ball sooner than later.

I only wonder how do you see the first 5 picks going because that's where everything is decided. Why shouldn't the Chargers get Buck, the most solid and with the highest upside DT in the draft, given they're desperate for inside help?

The way I see the first 5 going is as followed....

Titans: Tunsil

Cleveland: Wentz

San Diego: Ramsey

Dallas: Bosa

Jags: Myles Jack

I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all, knowing Jerry Jones, if Dallas shocks the world and grabs their future heir apparent to Tony Romo. That would be the best case scenario, obviously, because it would allow another defensive guy to fall. It is all opinion and speculation of course, as this is one of the most hard to predict top 5's in recent memory. I just see Ramsey solidifying the back end of the Chargers secondary, but you're right, they could definitely use Bucker.

Edit: I also didn't address LT simply because I have a feeling that one of either D'Brickashaw Ferguson or Ryan Clady will end up being cap casualties, and the Ravens will pounce. The Ravens will also most likely be moving around and acquiring more picks, and they could pick one up later in the draft as well.

Is this like the VERY best cases scenerio draft. If even only to top 3 picks happen I would be elated.
