If Jack is gone, i think we could trade down and Raglan, or Lawson who could play with his hand in the dirt or standing up....we pick high enough in all the rounds to pick a solid OT to groom, as i think we are committed with Monroe..regardless it will be fun to watch how it plays out....so many scenarios...

Im not too high on Raglan. The guy is a huge liability in coverage.

I wonder why they keep talking about players that never be a Raven. They keep teasing us that somebody they never have.

One thing I forgot on Jack, he has been out since September so that puts him at 9 months by the time OTAs begin. He had a meniscus injury and I am no doctor but he should be fine by the time they start. If anything he just has to shake the rust off. Just an extra tidbit I thought I should drop in.

I don't see him going top 5.

The only way I see it is if Cleveland doesn't go QB at 2, because then it might entice Jacksonville to look at somebody like Jack, but I don't see anybody in the top 4 really liking him enough to draft him there.

I think he definitely goes top 10, but I can easily see him going in the 7-10 range.

Unless the football gods look down on us and we somehow draft Ramsey, the folks in Bmore would hear me cursing from my home 4 hrs away if we don't draft Myles and he was available.

NFL.com. It's useful as a general guide, but nothing more. For it's virtuall impossible to predict and consider a lot of decisive factors - how well the guy is gonna make th transition to the NFL level, how his coaches can make him grow and utilize him, how his private life pans out etc...

As for Bosa and Buckner, there's nothing surprising here, many analysts have been saying that Buckner has a higher ceiling in the NFL and seems "more NFL-ready" than Bosa - it's just that Bosa was all the rage, so of course he got more publicity and people though he was the best player of this year...

Somehow I've got the feeling there maybe no player beside Jalen Ramsey the Ravens would pick at #6 if Jack was still available... maybe not even Ramsey.

Sadla, as things look now, both players will be picked by the time we're on the clock. There seems to be a consensus that Ramsey, Wentz, Tunsil and Jack will all be picked in the top five, the fifth being Bosa, Stanley, Buckner, Goff, Elliott or someone else.

with the advent of social media and the speed and expanse of information and gathering of information, every team in the NFL will pick really good players unlike in previous years. I don't believe we'll have stud players fall into our laps like in the past. So, all we can hope for at this point is there is a run on QBs before we pick. That is the only way we can be assured of getting a top defensive talent in this draft. If Cleveland goes defense or Tunsil, we are essentially picking at #6 that isn't highly coveted.

I don't see how the advance of technology will ever prevent teams from drafting "bust" players. There will always be college players who look absolutely great but can't play up to NFL standards. Injuries, complex playbooks, and just the fact that the speed of the NFL is so much greater are only a few stumbling blocks that no matter how tech you can get, there will always be a human factor, and always be players who however great on paper can't cut it in the NFL.

I also have to disagree with the need of "a run on QBs"...Only one taken before us would get us one of the premeire defensive players most people expect us to take, and with both the Browns and jerry Jones picking ahead of us who knows what either of them could do.

Some insight on Jack. I am a huge UCLA fan and I am a huge fan of Jacks. He is uber athletic and can cover receivers. His sophomore year, he shut down SC's Nelson Agholor the whole game. He is able to fly sideline to sideline and is really physical. He has goos size although he is a bit short (Really stocky). So he has wheels, can cover and is good in the run game. What UCLA never really asked him to do was rush the passer which I wish they did because it could have made him more valuable. Not saying he cannot do it, I have just never seen it. He also had some immaturity outbursts during practices last year so he does have the occasional temper tantrum but hopefully with maturity it dies down a bit. Another note was that in very few games he would lose focus and play a bit reckless. He is a great player to represent an organization though. I met him at the spring UCLA camp and he had a flock of people following him to get a signature. I got his signature on my jersey and he is super charismatic to top it all off and humble. The more I look at the draft the more I want him to be the one we draft but I list the top players I want drafted in the first like this:
1. Laremy Tunsil OT
2. Jalen Ramsey DB
3. Myles Jack LB/DB/RB (Little Biased)
4. Deforest Buckner DE
5. Joey Bosa DE/OLB
6. Vernon Hargreaves CB
7. Ronnie Stanley OT

didn't know he really wasn't a pass rusher,he's great at staying on his feet while pursuing.i dont know why everyone thinks we need a o-linemen so bad.

thats what he said,he was at %80 but the rest was just getting into football shape, but also basicly said his football shape and another guy's football shape may be different.sorta

Jack should be 100% by OTA's and i think he has another pro day to run the 40, and if he has a clean bill of health i can't see us passing up on his talent at 6, if he is even there at 6.....Hargreaves was not impressive in the SEC championship game and was burned all game, i just wouldn't want to spend a #6 pick on him....JMO....

So you're sour on him b/c of one bad game?  Everything I've read about him says he's the best true CB in the draft.

I would be happy if we took him w/ our 6th pick.  I just wish he was a little taller.

no, he was good, but on the big stage he really looked bad against a solid but not great bama WR core...And i think we are in good shae with our CB's, and need to focus more on a pass rush, as we saw there were a lot of games the QB's had all day to throw....And even then the cb's we had in the 2nd half did a solid job, with the exception of the Seahawks game, where Wilson had all day to throw...

I think Raglan would be a solid compliment to C.J if we can't and Jack, as in most cases the ILBer sit in zone coverage to cover crossing routes...But if not him, there are other ILBer we could probably get in the 2nd or 3rd who could work out well.....JMO....But i would if i had a choice select Lawson before Raglan if we traded down, imo i feel he could bring a immediate impact on the pass rush....

Ronnie Stanley isn't an exciting pick but may be a necessary one. However, I don't believe the Ravens are going to pick a tackle at #6 because there is no surety he'll be a stud. Look at most tackles picked in the top of the draft recently. Not very reassuring. If the Ravens go offense at all, don't rule out Elliott. I believe we'll stay and pick if one of these 4 are available for us. Bosa, Jack, Ramsey and Buckner. If not, I expect us to trade back because the Browns are going to screw it up all over again by not taking Wentz or Goff.

If bosa Jack Tunsil Buckner and Ramsey go 1-5 then the Ravens get trades from every quarterback needy team in the NFL. Those are the fools willing to overpay lol

Except there really aren't too many of them, and a lot of them don't have to bother coming up to get one, because one will fall to them.

High price tag to move from the teens or later into 6 to draft a QB, and this isn't a great QB class.

You don't need too many of them. Just one!

Phili may try to move ahead of San Fran. They just offered the farm to move up to 8 why would they risk losing the QB they want now?

The Rams have a complete team but only lack a QB. You don't think they'd offer the bus to have their franchise QB for 5 years at less than half market value cap wise.

The only reason, and quite an obvious one, the 49ers need a Qb and they pick right behind us. Therefore, we will get calls from the Eagles, Rams, Broncos, Bears, Saints, Chargers, Jets, etc... We might get players plus picks from the lower teams.

Here's the draft grades from NFL.com. I tend to agree with their grades and think it may be similar to our draft board generally speaking. Here it is copied from NFL.com

Tunsil, Laremy OT 6'5" 310 Mississippi 7.6
Jack, Myles OLB 6'1" 245 UCLA 7.5
Buckner, DeForest DE 6'7" 291 Oregon 7.2
Elliott, Ezekiel RB 6'0" 225 Ohio St. 7.2
Ramsey, Jalen CB 6'1" 209 Florida St. 6.8
Bosa, Joey DE 6'5" 269 Ohio St. 6.7
Hargreaves, Vernon CB 5'10" 204 Florida 6.6
Stanley, Ronnie OT 6'6" 312 Notre Dame 6.5
Robinson, A'Shawn DT 6'4" 307 Alabama 6.5
Goff, Jared QB 6'4" 215 California 6.5

I just changed the 6.5 grades to suit our needs better since they were all the same grades.

All the speculation will keep pouring in lol these articles on the draft at this point are redundant. I am slightly relieved to have an inside feel that Stanley would be more of an off the board pick because as we all know, Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa, Buckner, and Jack are all highly coveted by us and even Hargreaves in this worst possible scenario is a great addition. I still have a deep feeling though that our pick will be either Bosa or Buckner, but as long as it is one of these six players I think we all should be smiling

I still believe Ramsey will be there at #6. DBs very rarely get picked in the Top 5. And as great as an athlete as he is, he's a great Safety that MAY be a good cornerback. I don't see a team taking that chance in the Top 5 for a Safety. The draft rarely goes by highest pre-draft rankings. OL, DL & Pass Rushers always move to the top of the line.

Here's how I see it:

1. Tunsil
2. Wentz
3. Stanley (Despite being the #2, he's a top LT - SD line was horrible)
4. Bosa (DAL has ZERO pass rushers - Hardy is FA, Gregory suspended)
5. Buckner/Jack (Jax needs major help on their front seven)

@TheConquerorWorm Ramsey not going to be a Raven so stop teasing me LOL ?. Either Deforest Buckner or Joey Bosa is what the article should be talking about. Someone that's going to be there at 6.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Ramsey has very few interceptions, I'm not sure why we would want to import him if that is the case. I just don't see him as an advantage for us.

Barring any injury, failed drug test, or legal issue between now and the draft, I will bet you a drink of your choice that Ramsey will be gone in the 1st 3 picks.

I doubt that we will trade this pick, unless we receive an offer we can not refuse.

I don't know about that. For Philly to move in front of SF, we would get their #8 overall and a 3rd Round pick. If the Rams wanted to jump in (They have 2 x 2nd Round picks), we could trade back to their # 15 and pick up one of their 2nd Rounders.

Could easily see the Ravens sliding back to #15, picking either Hergreaves (if there) or even Noah Spence. Then packaging their 2 x #2 to move back up into the 1st for Shaq Lawson (or Spence). Getting Spence & Lawson or Hergreaves & Spence/Lawson would be an ideal scenario.

Couple issues with this...

1. Philly isn't interested in a first round QB in this draft. They signed Bradford for two years, and more significantly, they added Chase Daniels at $7M a year. He's long been a favorite of Doug Pederson. I think they did both because they see what this class has to offer and don't like it one bit

2. I don't think the 49ers are interested in a QB either. And frankly, even if they are, it won't matter if Cleveland doesn't take one.

3. Saints are signing Brees to an extension. They're out of the 1st round QB market. Chargers just signed Rivers to one also. They're out as well.

There's basically five teams in this draft who would be in play for a first round QB:

Browns, 49ers, Rams, Jets, Broncos.

Browns and 49ers can basically pick whoever they want, leaving the other three to figure it out. Realistically, the Jets and Broncos are too far down to make a move up to 6. Doing that would certainly guarantee they give up multiple 1st rounders, likely an RGIII like package. Again, even an extremely QB needy team isn't going to do that unless they really feel like one of these guys is a game changer at QB, and there's no indications really any team feels that way.

That basically leaves the Rams, who, again, I don't think could pry #6 away from us without giving up a future 1st rounder.

As such, if Cleveland doesn't take a QB, there's really not a ton of motivation for the Rams to move to 6 if they have these QBs graded similarly, which it appears most teams do. Even if SF takes one at 7... the Rams can just sit back, wait, and take the next guy, because they know practically nobody ahead of them is coming up to get one, and nobody behind them has the ability to move up that high.

If I were the Rams, I'd focus on moving to the low teens but not inside the top 10. That more than likely would allow them to get the 2nd best QB in the draft, whoever they project there.

I would bet my house that Ozzie would not move back from 6 to 15 for just a second round pick. He'd be asking for significantly more than that, possibly another first rounder. Perhaps for two second rounders maybe, but I'd see no reason to do that deal.

Go check stats or PFF, he has graded out as one of the best run defenders in back to back years... Scouts and analysts  will try to say anything to make it seem that they know something that others don't or that their evaluations are more valuable.

You are correct. But I don't think the President or the Justice Department will be knocking on the Castle's front door.
