My opinion Dumervil could be effective as the #2 edge rusher across a dominant  edge rusher. But I do not see a 17 sack season again. To be honest dude Dumervil always frustrated me. He racked up sacks on liability  tackles. Then struggle with big or athletic strong tackles. I was in favor of a young explosive edge rusher since the ravens lost to pasties in the playoff game. The secondary and peas took the heat for that game but there were many plays Brady held the ball 5 seconds and longer and  Suggs Dumervil were blocked 1on1 and failed. I liked daneel Hunter in the draft. Ravens could of moved up to early round3

I have as much proof of you do about that statement in your post when I say I extremely doubt that is anywhere close to accurate

Lots of getting the ball out fast but watch the game and count!! I was very upset at Suggs and Dumervil in that game. There were many plays the duo just failed. My friend Matt was angry at the secondary. Amy pointed out to him many plays the rush was not getting home later in that game. Then I got Upset at Suggs and dumervil who were plain being handled by Vollmer and Solder. Maybe not to many plays of longer than 5 ticks but many plays there was very sufficient time to get to Brady AND FAILED!! My opinion Suggs is done as a good edge rusher. Dumervil could have his moments.

I cant say for sure, but considering the Pats rushed for under 20 yards I wouldn't be shocked if they had an extra OL guy out there or TE just for blocking.  Im at work and cant look up tape that well.  But I would be intrigued to see if/or how many times Brady held the ball 5 seconds or longer

when we rushed 3 he had plenty of time.

we rushed more then 3 and the ball was out in the blink of an eye due to lack of coverage.

most of their damage came on broken and missed tackles TBH.

if we actually made the tackle right from the start we would had an easy win.

So much this...

You had better be stellar at defending passes if you can't tackle lol

we rushed 4 most of the time and would have gotten good pressure but brady threw those 1 yard passes which then turned in to 4 to 5 yard gains because of a miss tackle or a receiver dragging a defender for extra yards.

TBH the scheme was good to counter it but the execution from the lbers and secondary was atrocious.

They basicially picked on melvin.

pats where

0/1 deep right
5/7 for 38 yards short right
0/2 deep middle with 1 INT
7/11 for 102 Short middle
19/26 for 158 and 2 TD Short left
3/3 120 yards 2 TD Deep left.

Basically our left side was horrible without jimmy there....

A guy I want to mention that I haven't seen mention, Aaron Burbridge WR from Michigan St.  6'0 @ 205lbs, ran a 4.36, 4.46, and a 4.56, with a 30" vertical and 20 reps on the bench press.  I really like this kid, he seems to have great hands and could maneuver well, interesting mid round guy.

Burbridge reminds me of a smaller Kamar Aiken.

I see a lot more explosiveness than Aiken has.

Burbridge reminds me of a thicker Aaron mellette. Who may have been solid if he wasn't built like a blade of grass.

Thats scary lol. I can't co sign the pick then if it has any validity. We need a true playmaker.

Mellette was a machine in college though. He just didn't have the body to hold up in the NFL. I think burdbridge has a real shot to be solid

I have to brush up on him. In the film he seemed able to separate. But you know who my boys are.

I've said this a lot but I really like Kolby Listenbee. He's got solid hands and is fast. I think he would make a great vertical threat regardless of Perriman and Wallace. I think he'll be one of the top mid round WR in this class.

I like him as well. and apparently he played with a disc hernia all season long. thats pretty tough so he might be even faster

Well a bulging disk is usually a red flag

Let me ask a question here:

At what point in the draft do you consider taking Jaylon Smith?

4th or later

Depending on what we got in the previous 2 rounds, I'd take him in the 3rd and sit on him for a year if we have to.

Depends on his next medical, if the nerve damage is still there it looks like retirement so I wouldnt even pick him, if it looks better than at the combine low 3rd early 4th and sit him a year

If the Ravens already have a pass rusher in their first 3 picks, they'll probably take a project in the lower rounds so 4th comp picks (ngakoue if still there) or 6th (dadi nicholas/mccalister).

I see them taking O-linemen as well with a comp pick

Is he that much of a project though?  also, just my opinion, I think we get a stud out of the 4th round...

Well I dont't see him as a pro ready. Doenst look clutch at all. His best playsnarent on money downs. Potential is there but I see him as a situational rusher for the first year maybe 2
