[News] Can Terrell Suggs And Elvis Dumervil Notch 20 Sacks?

24 posts in this topic

I don't see 20 sacks from the two.

I have this bad gut feeling that Suggs will have a very mediocre season.  When he was healthy last off-season he showed up to OTA's horribly out of shape.  Now this off-season he still has to recover from his achilles injury AND then get into football shape.  I don't see him being ready to dominate by game 1.  I hope I'm wrong.

Not happening. Sorry guys, would love to see it but I don't think it will unless Doom goes back to just passing situations and Suggs gets more situational play and not every down.

20???? I can see Doom getting 12, but, Suggs is coming off a serious injury, that's a tall task to ask for 8 sacks.

I wouldn't count on it. That's both ankles. Last I recall, we have another defensive player that tore both ACLs and has never been able to regain form (and he's 30). The other elephant in the room is losing Upshaw and thinking that we can somehow keep these two veterans fresh enough to terrorize QBs on third down. Maybe if we get Myles Jack, but that's highly doubtful. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're trading back...

IF Suggs comes back in shape and motivated it will be a big year for the "D", the FO should still consider a push to resign Upshaw to give doom plenty of breathers.

Suggs will come back stronger than ever as will Dumervil. I really do believe they will be able to exceed 20 sacks in 2016. Not just that, but we'll have more than 45 sacks for our D.

even a healthy suggs is a slower suggs at age 35. his presence will help doom not get double teamed but i cannot see suggs being the dominant force he once was but he will have his moments. doom is getting up there as well in age so it is time to infuse some youth. z man is a start and i believe urban can be a force if he can stay healthy.

If not 20 they will get 19! Lol but its no secret the Ravens shut down the squeelers with the four no more than five man rush making big ben hold the ball getting sacks! Want sack?! Don't blitz and the sacks add up!

Suggs is the wild card here. After 2 tears and advanced age, there won't be much burst left. We desperately need to draft/trade for a consistent edge rusher.

Suggs and RL52 are both machines, both came back from injuries the same season, which were considered season ending ones......Also both of these greats are true to themselves, and if they felt they couldn't contribute at a high level, they would retire....RL52 did it, and until Suggs announces his, i wouldn't bet against him....

Like how you think ellicottraven, hoping to see the potential of getting inside pressure make 20 an easy number for them

Imagine getting freeney(?)

Suggs, doom, freeney(?) and z Smith rotating would be nasty

Throw in some Jack.....

When Suggs and Doom are on the field at the same time great things happen, its going to be real nice to have Weddle back there patrolling the secondary, that should give them some time, i think the Ravens should try and draft Hargraves from FL at #6. He would be perfect for what the Ravens are trying to do.

Sizzle has to come to camp in the best shape of his life. Kind of concerned that last year he showed up and admitted he wasn't at his fighting weight.
