Honest predictions for the coming season

If this team stays mostly healthy, we're looking at 10-6 or better.  Joe did tear his ACL, but he's not a scrambling QB.  This recovery would be harder for a player that has to make sharp change of direction at random times while running.  So long as the o-line can give him time, all he'll have to do is drop back and pass.  We've already seen him drop back for a hand off directly after the injury so he shouldn't be hampered many months later.

WR will be a question mark until players like Wallace and Perriman show they can perform in Baltimore.  Personally, I think Perriman becomes the team's first true #1 WR, but we'll have to wait and see.

The D-line is likely the best in football as a whole from starters to bench.

The O-line will depend on whoever the LG is.  We know we'll get good play from the center to the RT so long as everyone is healthy.  LT is a question and nobody knows who the LG will be (I'm still hoping it's Jensen).

The secondary is a serious concern until proven otherwise

I can't fathom the pass rush won't be good.  Correa and Kaufusi will likely be strictly pass rushers.  Z.Smith should improve in his second season.  Dumervil still has talent and then there's Jernigan coming from the inside.  I don't even need to name Suggs.  If the drafted players show even 70% of what McPhee could do, we will have as many quality pass rushers as we did in 06.

So yeah, unless the secondary completely flops, which is possible, I can't see this team winning less than 10 games.

If we start the season 3-0 we'll easily win 10 games and make the playoffs as potenitally a wild card. However, if things align our way and we get a few good breaks unlike last year, we could easily add a game or two to the win total. At best I see us going 12-4 but at worst, we could go 7-9 this season.

Not sure about predictions, but here are my three players I'm looking at that if they can perform well, will make our defense very good.

1. Ladarius Webb at safety. I felt our CB play wasn't terrible last year, but our safety play was! Kendrick Lewis was atrocious. So many big plays given up and no real help to our CBs. Look at when we won the Super Bowl: Ed Reed at FS and Pollard at SS made so many big plays along the way. Pollard knocking out Steven Ridley and making him fumble was epic! But I think if Webb could make the adjustment, playing off the ball as a true ball hawking safety could be amazing! Pair him with Weddle back there, and man, that's good stuff.

2. Arthur Brown at ILB. Mosley is a true Mike MLB; he can tackle, shed blocks, and blitz with the best of them. To perfectly complement Mosley, we need an ILB that can really shine in coverage. Before the draft, picturing Myles Jack along side Mosley got fans salivating. Dear I say this: I liked Arthur Brown's tape at MLB better than Jacks, albeit him not being the player or having nearly the ceiling as Jack. Mosley excelling around the line of scrimmage and having Arthur Brown's nimbleness flying around sideline to sideline and having him cover RBs and TEs would be pretty sweet. I remember watching Arthur Brown ride to the sideline, chasing down Adrian Peterson and twisting his ankle.

3. Bronson Kaufusi at 3-4 DE. I think out of everybody we drafted, outside of Stanley, Kaufusi will have the biggest impact. I think he is just about on par with DeForest Buckner, just not as polished. He seems to have great explosion to rush the passer from the inside and outside and has the length to provide great run support. Having Kaufusi, Brandon Williams, and Jernigan as the base of our defense is great! Those are some full grown men up front. Urban, Guy, Davis, and Lewis-Moore are some very solid depth.

I should have clarified: i cant remember exactly what week it was until but we were a top ten offense, but injuries just piled up.  I mean, i get that you dont like him, but it would be extremely premature to say you dont like what hes doing considering he didnt have a deep threat to use, lost his best WR in week 4, TEs, etc...I mean, if you want to be like the Browns and just fire a guy after one year, cool, have at it, good luck building a team.  I mean, i remember after week 1 someone started a thread complaining about his offense and how we struggled to move the ball....REALLY? WEEK 1? And turns out we were playing one of the best defenses to be seen in a long time.....and  we barely lost.

At least give some reasons.....It's real easy to point out a problem....anyone can do that.  How about the solutions?

i like him but and i don't like our running game , i don't like very predictable calls (sometimes) , i don't like 3'n'out in 4th quoter when we desperately need to keep the ball and burn some time or even score some points (why not? right?) , i don't like when our TE didn't get the ball...

i'm not a hater , i respect Pees and  Trestman but i'm just ... i don't like 5-11 and i don't think injuries the only reason

Well look up stats up until week 7 and see where we rank for a better understanding.

Our run game will be fine, have you seen what Trestman has done in chicago with Forte? It sounds like you just didnt like our year, with good reason it was a bad year.  Forset was on pace to be one of about 8 RBs to break 1k yards, guess what, he got injured.  Our defense being THAT bad was a big result of losing Suggs, no pass rush creates a big problem for the secondary, it showed.  We had over 800 yards from our TEs, with numerous injuries, shocker.

We lost i think 9 games by 8 pts or less which was an NFL record i believe. Considering all the bad luck we had last year and to be in that many close games i think says that we arent that far away from being back to what we are used to.  I dont want a 5-11 season, but there is no way we can judge Trestman off of last year taking everything in account.  Pees, however is another story.

I actually think Trestman did very well with what he had to work with.  Also remember, we had no defense.  Literally, i dont think the Ravens fielded a defense until the second half of the season

That is just how the Ravens roll.  I think Steve or John own some big stock in Rolaids and Tumms.
