Who would you pick at 36th in the 2nd round?

Who would you pick with the 36th pick of the 2nd round??   75 members have voted

  1. 1. I personally think the 36th pick in the 2nd round has a bigger group of possibilities, considering our FO always goes BPA in the 1st round. If the cards play out right we potentially could end up with a true 1st round quality player picking that early in the 2nd. Who you think will be there and who would you pick?

    • Mackenzie Alexander/ CB
      19
    • Artie Burns/ CB
      4
    • William Jackson/ CB
      17
    • Kendall Fuller/ CB
      3
    • Noah Spence/ Edge
      24
    • Kamalei Correa/ Edge

    • Emmanuel Ogbah/ Edge

    • Will Fuller/ WR

    • Tyler Boyd/ WR

    • Josh Doctson/ WR

    • Corey Coleman/ WR

    • Cody Whitehair/ OL

He's not on the list, but Vernon Butler could be a great addition to help our passrush and seems like an Ozzie sort of pick.

Could he move over into Canty's spot, or would he have to compete with Williams and Carl Davis?

He's capable of playing any spot along the DL in a 3-4, and could easily take over the DE position for the team.

I like Butler but for some reason I'm really high on Chris Jones. He has that burst and can provide pass rush and disrupt a pocket real quick

I think you could potentially add Derrick Henry to the list here. With the speculation that we're interested in Ezekiel Elliot with the #6 pick, it would make sense that we would show interest in Henry here. I think his lack of lateral mobility and explosive first step makes him available at #36. I'm not convinced he would be a great pick, but he was outrageous in college.

I just did a quick count on three websites:  CBS, NFL, and the Scouts inc data at ESPN.   It looks like there's around 36 to 40 consensus 1st-round guys.   So the good news is someone IS going to fall to us at #36.  The bad news is it might be just one guy, and difficult to say who it will be.

But it looks like we'll get two first round guys without trading picks.

I think Nick Saban may have killed his NFL career before it even started.  395 rushes in one season is a big warning sign for me.  I realize the competition isn't the same at that level, so it's not the same workload as in the NFL.  But that's a lot of punishment on a body.  We might be able to keep him fresh and productive if we use him with our other guys.  But I think we can do better with our 2nd pick.  Committee running backs are available later.  Keith Marshall comes to mind.

That would be fun.  I think he'd be very disruptive playing in front of Suggs or Doom.

If we went running back in the 2nd or 3rd round I would look for Davontae Booker from Utah. I think he may be the best running back in his class. Ezekiel Elliot is up there as well but I just am always afraid of drafting a player that also has like 3 other teammates on that offense projected to go the 1st or 2nd round. Makes you wonder if it was the system or the player. Also Elliot's bad attitude his last season at Ohio State is not a major issue but it does bring to question if he will be a distraction in a locker room and for a team. I think Booker may be the safest bet out of all the running backs and I also like his fluid running style.

1. Spence

2. Spriggs (if available) , or another OT.

3. Whitehair (would be immediate starter at LG)

4. Boyd

5. Jackson/Alexander

6. Doctson

Lots of variables a lot depends on our first pick but I feel pass rush is the biggest need and Spence would be my choice if he is there other than that William Jackson would be another top choice there

not that big of a need. Imo :

- Cornerback

- Pass rush

- O-Line

So it will be decided by who they got in the first round.

Kyler fackrell is missing. If you think that's a reach then watch his film.

We're picking him up in the 3rd or 4th round I like that kids skills on the field.

3rd round would only happen because of being from a smaller school and having an injury last year.

He is a superstar on and off the field from what I hear. That's a grown man and He plays like it and works like it too.

Personally after Bosa Lawson Floyd and dodd I think he's the best pass rusher for a 34 team looking for a 3 down defender.

A lot of players from Utah don't get recognition as well which may drop him to the third. We pick at the top of the 3rd round as well so that is a good sign that he might still be there. I live in Utah and get to see him play a lot. If we somehow ended up drafting Bosa, Cravens, and then Fackrell in 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively I would be jumping off my couch.

I would think you jump to get Spence at the end of round one.

could be Buckner and spence.

Would love this.

What do you think about the idea of taking Jaylon Smith in 2nd? So conflicted on it.

I have heard good things about his recovery being on schedule and such. apparently after the 1st of April Scouts will know more about the condition of his knee.

for me, I say definitely if it checks out.

Wouldn't it be really nice to trade back with the Rams and make it 4 1st round picks by getting their 2 second rounders??

It would wholly depend on who we pick in the 1st. So hard to say who you would pick in the 2nd. So many options that depend on who you pick in the 1st.

Not the sexiest pick, but whitehair from KSU I think is going to be a monster.  If I knew we could get westerman from ASU later I would go Spence/Alexander.

I'm w/ you on that. He's a fringe 1st/2nd rounder but his value at 36 would be very good, and may very well be their BPA at that point. He plays behind Zuttah for this year, Zuttah gets cut next offseason and we have our starting Center on deck.

I think he's going on day 1 and, at the latest , with Browns second.
