[News] Breshad Perriman Expected Back For OTAs

I hate to say this, but to read “[t]he progress has been really right on schedule” gives me shivers of fear because it reminds me of him "being out a few days" at the beginning of last year's training camp.  I'd rather hear nothing at all because this means he's not fully healed.

The kid has had a entire year to rehab....Before his injury no one could cover him, if he comes back healthy, we will be in for a treat...

That quote was about Flacco's recovery and not Perriman.

if the team felt he couldn't do any of the above he would be gone.....Best Doctors have been working with him, and seeing how the knee heals, if there were set backs, like they found with Houston from KC then i would have doubts....

Can we stop calling Perrimen's injury a "knee sprain". He had a tear. Because that term was thrown around by the Ravens all last year, he has this reputation that he is weak or a sissy.

Hopeful for Perriman's full recovery and no sophomore slump !
Just kiddin, I think us fans are in for a very pleasant surprise after having two seasons of terrible numbers of injuries. Hopefully all our injured players come back strong. Going back to natural turf should help with that too !

A sprain is a tear. Apparently, he had a grade II sprain. If it was fully torn, it would have required surgery.

He'll be back you guys. Let's be optimistic. Positive. I feel he'll come back and do exceptionally well. Wouldn't you if you were in his shoes? Im sure he feeds off of the doubters and it fuels his come back. We, his family, should fuel him with faith.

It will be nice to finally see what this young man can do on the field. Last year it kind of stunk with him getting hurt and not being able to compete. But on the bright side we basically have 2 first round talents we get to watch develop this year.

That's my evil plan. Either he will prove the doubters wrong with hard work and determination or prove us that he is a wimp. You use Negative Re-enforcement on receivers and positive re-enforcement on corner-backs.

I won't believe anything until I see a vine/instagram/tweet/snapface of him walking - then you guys can 'type the hype' - otherwise I am not interested in hearing anything about BP.

Leading up to the draft, what were Perriman's touted flaws that caused him to slide to us? Mainly his hands and raw form. Both things that could be improved without being on the field. Conspiracy theory: the FO held him out for a year to develop those shortcomings.

Is that a thing? Redshirt rookies?

Even if this was not the case and homeboy's got the knee of an 80 year old, he undoubtedly gained some football knowledge and talent during this past season that he could easily incorporate into his game. I think Breshad enters 2016 looking much better than he did in college, and becomes an immediate contributor.

I am still worried because I have a gut feeling that type of knee injury is the kind of injury that could reoccur. I hope I am wrong.

Doesn't EV1 remember he has a knee disorder. From what I recall it "goes away" at a certain younger age but this looks lingering. I have hi hopes for Permian.

So the post on here about him at the Toys for Tots event wasn't proof enough?

Perriman and Wallace both going deep leads to Safeties being taken out of the equation, which means Aiken and SSS will do serious damage in the middle of the field and I am hoping that our favorite defensive pass interference calls come back to favor us with corners struggling to slow our speedsters down

Keenan Allen had the same injury. Perriman started practiceing to early, and reaggravated it. Partially torn ligament. Your gonna need rest.

The Perriman situation was so mishandled. The organization should have just been up-front with fans about the severity of his injury, rather than let this kid anguish in silence while fans questioned his toughness. Hope he comes back strong and proves the doubters wrong.
