[News] Ravens Investing $35M In Under Armour Performance Center Expansion

19 posts in this topic

It is a castle now. What will it be called after the renovations? Only in Baltimore and only with an owner like Bisciotti is this possible. Why wouldn't players want to come to Baltimore and become a Raven? Inconceivable. The best organization in sports hands down.

Things like this make it easy to understand why Bisciotti is loved in Baltimore so much. Not knowing about him in much detail as a Brit he comes across as somebody who knows how important it is to keep his staff happy and never rests on his laurels.

Glad to see they're looking into injury preventing training.  Hopefully that will cut down on the IR list.

I've toured the castle, you could get lost in there.  I'd love to get a job as "house cleaner". ;)

In the current state of the NFL, the words "We aren't going anywhere" when referenced to a football team are HUGE. Mr.Bisciotti does the words owner and professional proud. Look at what he has done and how he treats and regards the city of Baltimore. Quite a far cry from the Irsay days. We definitely have the best owner a team could hope for. Thank You Mr. Bisciotti.

Now if we could only see the same from Peter Angelos.

I know that theres like no chance Steve ever reads these boards. But if you ever do, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don't always agree with your decisions but i can never doubt your motives or desire to win.

Why don't the Raven "give back to the fans" instead of foolishly spend it on a perfectly good building. We fans would like to see some cheaper ticket and food prices!

Why would any business lower the price of something when the demand for the product already exceeds the finite supply of it?

"Giving back to the fans" is done by putting a quality product on the football field, since that's what you are paying to see.

Increasing player moral by investing in the infrastructure of the business is a great way to do that.

In light of the recent free agents that we've signed, I believe the two go hand and hand. With the new additions, after already having the best state of the art performance facility in the NFL, one would have to imagine that it would almost be impossible for a player or free agent to not want to sign with Baltimore. Again, great job Steve and front office.

Players generally go where the money is.

What team owner spends his own money to improve the states stadium it should be this way but usually the owner is depending on tax payer money for stadium improvements. Hats off to the team owner.

This isn't necessarily true either. "Tax payer money" in those senses usually comes from imposing some sort of use tax or additional fees on VOLUNTARY consumption items.

In most cases, teams don't just impose an increase to real estate taxes, sales taxes, etc. in order to pay for these things, because that requires a lot more approval from a ton of people in county and state legislature in order to pass, and most lawmakers are smart enough to know that most of their constituents don't benefit from that.
