[News] Eisenberg: The Memory Of Young Tray Walker Will Endure For Years

20 posts in this topic

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this tragedy.  I have two sons a little older than Tray, I can't imagine the pain a parent would feel.  This time last year they were so happy, excited to have their son part of the NFL, and now? :( I've read Florida does not have a helmet law, but to all you young riders, please, wear one.  You have a long life to live.

Yeah, this is gonna hurt for a very long time, especially for his family, including his Ravens family, and close friends...... Even us, the huge fanbase, will keep this in our heavy hearts for a very long time as well.....
Maybe our Raven's organization should develop a continuing scholarship in his name, to keep his memory alive. Just one thought, anyway.....

I like this idea.  I'm sure we will wear a TW patch for him for the 2016 season, but the scholorship will go on and on.

I'm sure it's being considered, but I'd very much like to see the 2016 helmets and/or jerseys have a "25" to memorialize Tray much the way they did for Modell. Seems fitting.

It is defining moments like this that makes a team. Where we will continue to honor his memory, the greatest thing this team can do is go out and win it all for him. The arrest of Ray Lewis and the loss of Jermaine Lewis's son, Geronimo, became rallying points for the 2000 super bowl runs. Not for the instances themselves, but because things like this brings a team together and gives them the "I got your back", "we are family" mentallity you need to win in the NFL. Every team has skilled players, but the teams that are mentallity tough and focused are the teams that win. The most recent super bowl run we went into at 9-7 with our star middle linebacker in an arm sling from a torn tendon when he announced his retirement. That was the rally point for the 2012 super bowl. Don't misunderstand that this comment is about winning the super bowl, it is about Tray Walker and keeping him in the forefront of our minds every day in all we do and give that little extra, in honor of him, to become successful.

It is truly is sad and tragic that such a young man in the prime of his life died in such a way, may God be with his family through their time of bereavement and heal their hearts from this tragedy!!!

That is a good idea. I really like that! It would be fitting.

It's times like these that have forged the Ravens grit and grind! This team has been through multiple tests and trials in life and they have always rallied around one another as family. This situation will be no different! Rest in peace young Tray Walker....rest in peace!

I hope the team will turn this extremely sad event into passion and use it as motivation to be great and win the Lombardi trophy. Play hard on the field, because he wasn't able to. R.I.P. Tray Walker.

Like I said in another post I would like to see some type of marker or sign painted on the 25 yard lines at the M&T stadium that shows Respect and Love and in remembrance of Walker. I also like what other people have mentioned on this post about the #25 on the teams helmets or TW. This is just a very sad thing that happened to a young man.

I hate motorcycles, a friend of mine died on his a few years ago. I've survived minor accidents in cars that I wouldn't have in a bike.

It's not the car or the bike that kill people. It's the decisions made with them.
