[News] Ravens Grieving After Tray Walker's Tragic Death

61 posts in this topic

Im completely saddened. I literally just replied to the article yesterday hoping he could heal up enough to maintain his career, no way did I think he would lose his life. I found out from a friend who texted me, and I was blown away.

Just reminds us all, regardless who we cheer for, and even boo, that Football is just a game....The hurt and sadness his family is going through is unimaginable...R.I.P...Gone but will never be forgotten...

I would like to see something painted on the field at the 25 yard lines for all the Ravens home games to remember Tray Walker something to show respect and love.

This is 1 of the saddest days ever for the Ravens community. It was heart warming and heart wrenching to see all of the player, coach and fan messages and prayers for Tray to pull through and the grief is shared by so many with the devastating news of Tray's death. Most of all, I want to send my condolences to Tray's family. So many fans continue to pray, along with the players and the Ravens organization, trying to send some comfort for Tray's family in this time of unimaginable grief. It is clear how well loved Tray was by so many.

Very sad when a young man, who wasn't causing anyone any trouble meets his fate way too early. Condolences to the family left behind. It is not time to bash the Ravens secondary. It is time to act like a fellow human being and show compassion.

I just opened up the website to check on how Tray was doing and get an update. Alas, my heart broke when I saw he had passed. This is simply heartbreaking as an NFL fan, let alone being a Ravens diehard. God works in mysterious ways indeed. There is a saying that the really good people are taken early because God needs them more. Maybe that was the case with Tray. Rest in peace young man. We'll remember you along with your family and you'll always be a Raven in life and in death. RIP

It's a sad day for both the team and the family. He had the poor judgement to be riding after dark, no lights, no helmet all dark clothing. Still a very sad thing for a fine young man.

Tray was a special young man who will be missed by many, my heart is with his family and friends.

Thank you to the Ravens management, coaches, players, and fellow fans for sharing your feelings and kind words.

May the hand of our Lord Jesus be upon Tray and his family and may the love of our Father be in their hearts to comfort them! We all prayed the best for Tray and I can't imagine anything greater than being a Raven, except for being in the arms of our Lord! And I feel as elliottraven does. Truly the Father has Greater plans for Tray than we did!

What is very sad about this situation is the lack of love being shown by the NFL Network. If this were another CB from a more beloved team, the coverage would be blanketing the network.

I am a die hard Steelers fan but today I stand with the Ravens family during their grieving of the tragic loss of Tray.  My heart goes out to the Walker family, the Ravens team and Ravens Nation.  I pray for Tray's family and for Raven's Nation.  What a terrible tragedy, may the good Lord keep him and take care of him.

When a young man on the cusp of realizing his potential gets taken away like this, it breaks your heart. I didn't know I would feel this badly for somebody that I had never seen or knew personally. But, being a fan does strange things. Makes the team you root for and all those connected with it an extension of your family. In that light, all of us (the fans) continue to grieve the loss of Tray Walker. It is really hard to think of football things when life is shown to be so fragile.

Thanks....it means a lot to me at least. Sadly, things like this really put things into perspective.
