Jets were the only team dumb enough to take on that contract of a LT when they don't want to pony up the money for Fitzpatrick, their only hope at QB.

Clady agreed to a restructure as part of the trade. The contract is not so bad now: 6 million in year 1 (half guaranteed) with a team-option for year 2.

Fitzpatrick is an average QB. Jets are smart by not overpaying him.
