[News] Late For Work 3/18: More Details Behind Tray Walker Accident, Teammates React

55 posts in this topic

I approve of the three challenges a game rule change as 90% of the time even when the call is upheld, it's a very close call and it's not like the referees really debate over the initial call if no one makes a gripe about it, which we all know leads to nonsense calls and inconsistency. It also reduces the chances of a team using all of their challenges early due to poor officiating then when they really need it for a blatant missed call they have no other option.

Encouraging to hear that Monroe is motivated to get in great shape for the season.

However, that was never an issue for him.  Staying healthy on the field is his issue.

Regarding the replay, I think the NFL should do what Tennis does for their challenges. If the original call was wrong, that doesn't count against your challenges. A team should not be punished for an official's incorrect call.

Agreed.... Monroe is a gym warrior... he loves to fight weights but he seems to struggle a little more when the opponent fights back. We can only hope that his motivation translates to success on the field but he has shown little to give us much more then hope!

Continuing to keep Tray in my thoughts and prayers..... So very sad.....

On another couple thoughts, is it okay to hate the Patriots MORE than the Steelers??? Because I do, lol ?

One other thing, I do hope Monroe comes back and has a really great year in 2016, maybe prove a lot of people wrong ?

And yes, Eric Weddle looks AWESOME in black !! ??

Also, when he came to Baltimore, one of the things that was mentioned countless times is that his rigorous dietary regimen is on par with that of Ray Lewis - which we all know was the Golden Standard.
So, I don't think he has to do a lot of extra stuff to be in shape...

I had a very similar idea the other day: each team should be given two unsuccessful challenges per game - meaning each team could go on challenging any challengeable ruling until their second challenge that doesn't result in the reversal of the original ruling. If it's 10 good challenges before the second unsuccessful one, it's 10. If it's zero, it's zero.

New England is sour grapes. They still believe we tipped the Colts on the "deflated" balls. They are not about to agree with anything we propose. Guess we'll have to embarrass them on the field to get the point across. We are the better team! Go Ravens.

Regarding Monroe, I'm just over the guy. I hope that the Ravens can work out a deal to bring Clady here. Even on Monroe's best day he's not as good as Clady's worst. Even with a glowing health history he's been an abject failure from the get go. I don't think I can trust him that he's AOK. Time to move on.

The Patriots are upset because deep down they know they are at the end of their dominance whereas we are in the middle/prime of ours. Flacco younger than Brady, Harbaugh younger than Billicheck, Biscotti younger than Kraft. They are in their twilight years thank god. My only question is if the media will begin to give us the respect we deserve now that Manning is out and Brees, Ben and Brady are not far behind. I personally don't see the fascination they have with the QB's not mentioned above like Luck or Rivers.

Clady is even more injury prone than monroe.

Totally agree, makes no sense to penalize a team that challenges an officials erroneous call.

Boston media is nothing more than a bunch national inquirer writers. They are completely ignorant of anything outside of their useless city.

I'm glad Eugene Monroe is gearing up for a come back! That alleviates some pressure off of the Ravens front office if that were to pan out! Please send him encouraging words through twitter if you can for the sake of the team!!

I absolutely hate the pats more than the steelers. At least with the steelers team and org, there's a semblance of respect. But regarding the pats - I have zero respect for the team, the org, and especially their useless fans; who are a bunch of loud-mouthed buffoons.

Im gonna go on record and say this will be the year we finally get some healthy productivity from Eugene Monroe BUT it will also be the year he will face disciplinary action for Banned Substance abuse (Marijuana). You heard it here first. Its gonna suck, just sit back relax and watch it unfold.

Yup, I do for sure. I dislike Steelers fans, but respect the organization. You can't call something a rivalry unless you have respect for the opponent. Pats however, I have no respect for the organization, head coach, and on a personal level their starting QB, despite skills. Bunch of cheating whiners.

I'm with you guys. Grudgingly respect the Steelers. Absolutely hate the P*triots.

Ditto.......my feelings exactly!!! Dislike Brady, Belichick . and Kraft. Have to say though, that if Gronk was on our team, I would not be complaining!:D

Ya. As obnoxious and stupid as he is; Gronk is a heck of a baller. No questioning that.
